Of course! Post away.
The order of worship for Friday night is thus:
Let us Worship the Father
He Has Made Me Glad
(announcements)
The Joy of the Lord
Open the Eyes of My Heart
Shout to the Lord
Everlasting God
(Lesson)
I like the idea of starting the night with some clappin, foot stompin tunes to set the level of energy for the night. The next few will be sung a little "Up Tempo" to keep the energy going all the way to & through the Lincoln Brewster tune at the end. We're not stodgy, people can clap & stomp & raise their hands... but this is still at a Church of Christ, so I'm leading these songs all as a capella, congregational singing... no band, no choir. I don't even have a praise team, though there is precedent to use one.
I had some other songs I wanted to do, but I was encouraged to save those until the crowd is more used to my style & teach them the new songs then. These are the songs that are in my head, as I internally (and sometimes audibly) practice.
So Excited. Anyone in the OKC metro area want to come?
