I was thinking a dead tiny cockroach. You and I are too much alike.

Everyone has mice. You just don't know it. Fortunately, if you live in a clean house, surrounded by owls, eagles and feral cats, the rodent population should be controlled.

Nope Viola, I don't have mice. Nope, nope, nope.

Please let me live in my denial

That awkward conversation...when your husband comes home from work and asks you what happened to the fence, and you want to blame the deer, but you have to be honest and tell him it was an asteroid that knocked it down. Obviously.

And he stares you down until you admit you murderized the fence in an attempt to fix it. Because you can't just leave things alone.

We've let loose a comedy monster here with Cris...she's gonna play that judging the deer card for all it's worth now...squeeze every last laugh she can get from it. I like how she's thrown in the asteroid & husband now for added tomfoolery. Well played Cris...well played indeed. ;)

*assumes that she is invited* :p
Now that would be an interesting night! Seeing everyone for the first time alive and in person- hearing them speak! Oh dear! I've only heard Liamson's voice from his videos. Who knows what ya'll sound like!
shall I assume y'all are from southern Canada? :p

'my people' (as we say in KY) are from Kentucky, so what do you say to a 'y'all off'? :)

Where I live there seems to be a lot of snakes, rattlesnakes even. I think that has something to do with the lack of mice around here. :) There was once a 5' long king snake in the backyard. They are docile and pretty harmless but it was definitely a sight to see! We also have tarantulas and coyotes. Sometimes you can hear them howling at night and its creepy but cool too. Oh and we have owls too! I actually saw one in broad daylight once and it was huge. I think they only come out at night though.

Last summer an owl swooped past me, not 10 feet away. They ARE huge, eh? Pretty cool.

That awkward moment when you get caught stalking a raccoon in your neighbor's yard and talking to it..."Come back, little buddy, I have a cat you could eat. Come hang out in my yard!"

I took a picture, even.

My mother's cat judges me. The cat argues with me too.
I'll think about it.

Snakes will work too. What kind of rattlers do you have out there?

That awkward moment when you realize you want to swap rattler stories and you don't have one.

That awkward moment when you realize why someone posted something about washing their ear buds before using them. Yeah, my cat made it very clear to me tonight why you do. Now, I'm off to sterilize them before she leaves me any more kisses on them.

full moon bathes with light
coldest nights lack cloud blanket

That awkward moment following a haiku session when I remember all too late that Logs are not intended to get Hang Time between my hand and the all metal wood-stove when my kids are sleeping <GONG!> and the sound signals one awkward moment giving way to the one that naturally follows next.

actually, unlike the night the process server rand the doorbell, my prince & princess slept through the whole thing.
I call it the difference of them subconsciously knowing that they are safe and taken care of versus them being unofficially aware of bad stuff going down.

That awkward moment when you're up late...hoping others are posting...listening to music and refreshing the page...and then having a moment when you look at yourself objectively and think...'This is really my life right now...'
