Well, music is a personal decision between you and God. No one else can tell you what you should or shouldn't do. But personally i wouldn't. I don't listen to a lot of secular music. I mostly have old stuff i pull out once in a while. But not on a regular basis. And some things i've decided i shouldn't listen to anymore. There is a lot of new stuff i'd like to listen to but because of the themes of the lyrics and visuals i won't.
I used to allow myself to listen to a lot more secular music, but i came to the realization it was bringing me down. I could feel a difference in how i felt from listening to some things. Some of it affected me very quickly. Some things i can listen to for a bit before it gets to me, but it all pretty much will bring me down eventually. So i stick with things that are Christian, or at least Christian friendly. But what does your conscience say to you about listening to 'His Infernal Majesty' whose logo is a mix of heart and pentagram?

I'm from a different generation. The tats were very different than what's popular today. Not that there wasn't variety back then. I remember a quarter master with every inch of his concealable body (nobody got tats on the face, hands, or feet back then unless they were a carnie in a freak show or a primitive member of a tribe) that was as elaborate as any Yakuza to old school prison tats to every race's gang tats to punk rock tats. A lot of them you don't see anymore. One that was popular was the peacock. Old school addicts favored this one and called "to follow the peacock" which meant the addict has to dress well and look good to avoid being profiled by the police. But I knew a lot of dirty white boys that had tats like "born to lose" with spiderwebs on the elbows. Spiderwebs mean all sorts of things depending on the crowd but mostly it means wasting time in jail. A lot of peckerwoods got those. Guys who done some hard time had their own language. You had to pay attention if you saw prison gang tats and/or pistols down or pistols at you. I could go on and on and on.
