Maybe there is already a thread like this out there somewhere, doesn't matter I'm starting a new one. Awkward moments...now!

That awkward moment when you realize a family member you had high respect for turns out to be a major conspiracy theorist. (true story)

Done that more than once, not as awkward as running up behind someone and hugging them only to realize it's not the person you thought it was...

That happened to me last week at a drive-thru. I could've swore she said my total was $3.50. She sat there with her hand still out looking at me wierd and so I said "$3.50 right?" Then she says "$3.69" So I'm thinking what the?? As I drove away I realized she had given me the total before tax (like an idiot!). But of course she played it off like I was the idiot! :mad:

(Note: I don't remember what the exact numbers were)

That awkward moment you call a false prophet on CC an 'idiot' and have your salvation questioned by another member.
 
I work at a bank in the drive-through part. We have dog biscuits that we send out in the tubes because people bring their dogs in their cars. So...

That awkward moment where you send out a dog biscuit to a car because it looked like they had a poodle in the passenger seat but really it was their grandma.

To be fair, the hair was curly and white like a poodle and I couldn't see them very well...until after they drove off and I realized it was a person. Whoops.
