Hi All - This is an opinion that may be new to many of you.

The Second Coming occurs at conversion.

Now before you simply react (which is the usual reaction to this statement), please look over the video and supporting articles linked to the video homapage. This viewpoint really does pass the scriptural examination process, and virtually eliminates the inter- denominational conflicts that have plagued every one of us at some point in our lives.

For scriptural validation of the points mentioned in the video I have linked many supporting articles to the individual points mentioned in the video presentation at the following link.

The Second Coming compilation #3 - 47 min - YouTube

The full presentation (linked above) is 46 minutes long and is at broken down into managable time periods and individual topics at the following link -

Um. Jesus does not come into a person, The HS does. so it can not be the second coming.

The second coming is when Christ returns to rule the world. Both of your points are wrong. Judgment happens AFTER his kingdom, when this earth is destroyed, Not when he returns.

I vote for neither. Who ever believes that Christ has come again, the 2nd advent, believes a lie, that is full or hyper preterism and is heretical.

I do believe that when we receive Christ, He Comes into us in spirit.

I believe there are 4 comings of the Jesus, just because Jesus says He's coming doesn't always mean the 2nd coming, which a physical manifestation of His coming at the end of this age. And in which the next heaven age begins as called the New Jerusalem, New heavens and New Earth, the eternal state.

I see basically 4 types or meanings of the Lord's coming(s)

1) coming in Judgment and/or vindication - The Lord delivered King David from his enemies Psalm 18, especially verses 9 and 10:
9 He bowed the heavens also, and came down
With darkness under His feet.
10 And He rode upon a cherub, and flew;
He flew upon the wings of the wind.

- Proclamation Against Egypt, Read Isaiah 19 especially verse 1:
The burden against Egypt.Behold, the Lord rides on a swift cloud,
And will come into Egypt;

There are more examples, but I'm sure you will recognize them when you read them, Matthew 24:30 is one of them (although I think this could also be a reference to His ascension and authority given to Him over His dominion). See Revelation 2:5

2) a physical bodily manifestation of Jesus Christ. 1st coming and 2nd coming. You know He came once already. So 2nd bodily coming reference are:

- 2nd coming: Romans 2-5-16,
Rev. 3:5

2 Peter 3: 10-13

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. 11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

There are many more passages (and 2 Thessalonians 2 is not one of them IMO).

3. Coming to the individual for salvation, Revelation 3:20 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

4) From a heavenly perspective, Jesus' ascension. Daniel 7:13-14
And possible Matthew 24:30

13 “I was watching in the night visions,
And behold, One like the Son of Man,
Coming with the clouds of heaven!
He came to the Ancient of Days,
And they brought Him near before Him.

14 Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom,
That all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him.
His dominion is an everlasting dominion,
Which shall not pass away,
And His kingdom the one
Which shall not be destroyed.

Hope this helps ! God bless.

Hi Brother -

I do believe that when we receive Christ, He Comes into us in spirit.

I believe this as well.

In Heb 9:28 we are told that Jesus comes for only two reasons.

Scripture sets the parameters for interpreting scripture.

The second coming must follow the first, and the first was accomplished when Jesus went to the cross.

So the Coming or appearance after the first must be the second, and that is unquestionably found in Peter's sermon in Acts 3:19-21.

Respectfully - Brian

Heb 9:28 so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many. And to those who look for Him He shall appear the second time without sin to salvation.

If i recall correctly, none of the disciples were expecting Jesus to be risen, nor Mary and the other women, nor any other follower. They weren't LOOKING for him, this is the key. Where as in Hebrews they are, WE are!!!

John 20:9 For as yet they did not know the Scripture that He must rise again from the dead.

Also the word appear in the Greek is optanomai - optomai stongs G3700 The first a (middle voice) prolonged form of the second (primary) which is used for it in certain tenses; and both as alternates of G3708; to gaze (that is, with wide open eyes, as at something remarkable; and thus differing from G991, which denotes simply voluntary observation; and from G1492, which expresses merely mechanical, passive or casual vision; while G2300, and still more emphatically its intensive G2334, signifies an earnest but more continued inspection; and G4648 a watching from a distance): - appear, look, see, shew self.

Not only that, there is no evidence in the bible that supports Jesus' body ever left this world and went to be with His Father. It stayed in the grave. So Christ's body never left (only His Spirit did) except after His resurrection at His ascension recorded in acts 1.

Also, the angels told those who witnessed Christ's ascension told them He was coming back in the same manner. Act 1:11 who also said, Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into the heaven? This same Jesus who is taken up from you into Heaven, will come in the way you have seen Him going into Heaven.

We are going to see another physical manifestation of Jesus Christ, and we don't see that when we become believers. There are plenty of scriptures that also refute this doctrine that the 2nd coming of Christ is past and I'll be glad to give them to you later.

So here we have another false teaching refuted with scripture and sound reasoning.

May God's peace and love be with you,

Just always keep in mind

Then he said to his disciples, “The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it.
Men will tell you, ‘There he is!’ or ‘Here he is!’ Do not go running off after them. For the Son of Man in his day will be like the lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other.

no offense intended, but I believe that to be referring to 70AD, the Olivet discourse.

I can't believe it!
Those who have voted in the poll all agree! Not one person voted for the first choice(so far) WOW! People actually agree on this forum!
