All the effort i put in searching goes for nothing, please help

Dude, you're only 24. And are you even ready for marriage? Are you financially stable now? Have a good job that pays decently? Do you truly understand the role of a husband? Do you understand what marriage is all about? Are you healthy emotionally? Are you ready to be a leader and take on the responsibilities of taking care of other humans, making right decisions to lead them to a good future? Do you make good choices now?
So many people your age in such a rush to be married, yet have almost no clue about marriage or their role in marriage.
You sound desperate. If you're that desperate to be married, to me that proves you aren't ready. You aren't happy with yourself. If you aren't happy with yourself you can't be the man of the house. You can't be a leader if your happiness is dependent on if you're married or not.
 
Hi I know how you feel. I know you want to feel being in love and loved back. Don't be pressured in being single coz you are not alone. Do you want to have a cheap and deluded relationship? Let God write your own love story and hand him the pen to write the chapters of your love story.Why are you rushing things? It's so sad to belong to someone else when the right person comes along. Pray to God that He will prepare you when it's time to meet your future wife. Remember the foundation of a successful relationship is putting God as your core center in your relationship. God bless.... :)
 
If your feeling lonely and love your faith as well and things i suggest you read a book I know its corny but i read it and i have def. changed my perspectives read either or both "I Kissed Dating Goodbye" and or "Boy Meets Girl" both by Joshua Harris
 
I totally understand!! I hate being single also, but the thing is if God wanted be to have a boyfriend right now in my life, I would have one. We just got to be patience and grow in God while we're waiting.
 
I'm 22. I don't mind being single, but I feel like society looks at people funny if they don't date often. We shouldn't really care what they think.

Pray and be patient. Your perfect person will come along at some point.
 
Ugly brings up some really good questions to ponder about marriage!

And if you really want a bf/gf so bad, then what is really controlling your life, God or your want for a partner? I know we all want a gf/bf because we think that they will make life better, but trust me it doesn't. If you aren't happy with yourself when being single, what would make you happy with yourself when you have a bf/gf?

Just some things to ask yourself and give some serious thought to.

Oh, and I totally agree with her^^^ too!
 
Marriage is hard you guys. It is no laughing matter. And you really need to know who you are and who God is before you get into it. God will lead you into a relationship when the time comes. Just wait. It's the hardest thing in the world to do, but you have to.

And yeah, you're young, you don't seem happy with yourself so howre you going to make someone else happy?
And just for future referance there's a single's forum or young adult's forum.
 
Tired of being single at age 24? I think that you should set down and do a evaluation of your self. Why are you tired of being single? Why do I really want to get married? Can I even pay for a wedding if need be? If your living at home, move out asap. If you are living at home, why? 24 and tired of being single just does not sound right. Are most of your friends single or married? Let's talk about it and see if we can come up with some answers okay? Cheers
 
Read Matthew 6: 24-34. According to the context, these verses mean that you must trust, and serve God. He will take care of you... I hope that you can find comfort in the word of God :)
 
Gods timing is perfect! I always have to remember that myself. I was told one day that if God gave you something (or someone) and he took it away from you then that means he only has someone even more wonderful for you!(: Dont think of it as all this time being alone just think of it as more time to prepare yourself for that someone God sees as perfect for you. patience is key! Yet can be so hard to manage. Also, I would say it would be good for you to Pray AND Fast for your future partner (and that it may be in His will because it may not be in Gods will for you to even get married). God loves you and he wont give you anything unless you are ready for it(:

Why talking about getting married, he said he was tired of being single. Sometimes people date for a long time before getting married, so maybe he's not ready for marriage now but in a couple of years.

Well, because for Christians the only real reason to date is to eventually marry.
95% of the time Christians complain about being single, is because they want to be married.
If you read my post, you'd see the whole idea was asking if he was ready to marry or not.
The OP has since responded to peoples posts... and i don't see him denying he meant marriage.
So yeah.... i seem pretty justified.
