But isn't it a bit hypocritical that you're preaching so called "love" but you're judging but we all do it occasionally and we're all sinners, but Christ redeemed himself for us.

What about the verse in two kings about "judge not least ye be judged"?

But people's musical choices don't need correction. If people like something they like it and can't be changed otherwise. Just on experiences here. Even though I have phases of listening to anything and everything a lot of the stuff I'm into musically hasn't changed for a good while now.

I like some Christian bands and a lot of secular bands and even some bands with professed Satanists in them (can't think of any right now, but they're lyrics aren't satanist in content. So to me it doesn't matter)

Maybe the TS does as-well. It's really hard to tell with a conversation on secular music.

Even so, I'm not offended by it in anyway.

There's judging...and there's wrongfully judging. I wasn't wrongfully judging...someone else looked up the lyrics and by that we knew it was bad stuff...I'm not judging that person by what music she listens to. I'm not saying "ooooh she listens to THAT stuff. Well, I guess we all know where she's going!" because that's just wrong on so many levels. But I do think that people need to be wise in what they listen to...I'm not going to force anyone to, though. What a person listens to is their personal choice...but it's definitely not cool to post death metal/goth in a Christian Chat forum...

Music does effect you in every way.

Music can contain stuff of the occult...why do you think that people call Satanic music Satanic and Christian music Christian?

See to a degree you do have to judge things...but don't judge a book by its cover. And assuming things is wrongfully judging. I didn't judge by the cover...nor did I just assume things...I judged the contents of it...and I didn't judge her...I did judge what was in those songs...see, when you choose what you listen to, you have to have discernment.

And to different people it's okay to listen to dark content. For instance I can listen to songs about death, doom, post apocalyptic mayhem, politics, fantasy stuff. I go from a range of listening to black metal about cold frozen lands (Finland) to metal about bikes and random crazy stuff like that and I guess everyone's different on what they are comfortable with and how they've been brought up, seeing as primary socialization is a big factor on when someone is brought up and they get they're right and wrong from primary socialization and other forms of socialization too.

Wow...havent been here for a few days and came back to find arguing about these songs? Insane. And to whoever said that W13 passes himself off as metal...thats a little immature, don't you think? Well, I guess it isnt to you, since your the one that said it. But he does NOT pass himself off as metal. W13 is a combination of hard rock, glam, industrial, goth, punk, horror punk, and yes, a bit of metal. And even some hair metal. You'd have to be blind not to recognize the obvious Motley Crue/Twisted Sister influences, as well as punks The Misfits.

I just got back from the Wednesday 13 concert in Chicago Illinois!! He is amazing! Not many people know of this band so I just wanted to share it as I think many of you who are into rock music may enjoy it!! Especially if you are into horror movies...he mainly sings about horror flicks! Here is a link to one of the songs! check it out and let me know what you think.
