That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe. 1 Tim 4:10

Salvation is two fold.

Salvation of the Lost. - John 3:16.

And, the most misunderstood, next phase salvation for the saved...
The salvation of the soul.
Why is the next phase of salvation so misunderstood?
The NT seems very clear to me.

We all agree on the salvation of the lost.

What is the salvation for the saved?

Beware of men’s writings and ideas!!
This is where we can error and get away from what God teaches.

We have all that we need from the Bible! We don’t need men’s opinions.
Right.

This is why we debate on the Forum all day long.
OSAS
NOT OSAS

BAPTISM
NOT BAPTISM

GOOD WORKS
NO GOOD WORKS

If Einstein taught one of his students the theory of relativity....
Just like Paul taught Timothy....
you wouldn't trust that person?

But you DO trust MEN of today...
like pastors,,,
TV evangelists....
YouTube preachers/teachers

The Apostolic Fathers did not have OPINIONS.
Or we'd have to say the Apostles had OPINIONS too.

We like to stay in the dark.
When I bring up the ECFs .... yours is one of the responses.

Instead of getting the writings to see what they had to say.

Because my trust is in Christ rather than myself.
We are told in 1 John 3:9 - No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God.
Please note: It does not say No one born of God ceases to sin, which is the lie that you continually spew forth. . . . .
No! We are a work in progress and will not be perfected until that day. Phil 1:6

Don't you know sarcasm when you see it.

And as to your statement here:

" It does not say No one born of God ceases to sin, which is the lie that you continually spew forth. . . . ."

Please give the post numbers where I stated the above.

Or apologize for not only misrepresenting me...

but also for calling me a liar.

What is the salvation for the saved?

It’s definitely NOT going back to Judaism. Jesus preached the kingdom of God, which in earthly terms is the one church that He had established.

Divisions happened a little later, getting away from apostolic teachings. Paul, I think (?), even made a statement about being surprised by people following ”a different gospel.”

False teaching = men’s teaching rather than God’s words.

And?

What is He telling us to obey?

The many Christians who walk in human confidence can not obey what is required of them.

Jesus answered,
“It is written:
‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

Mat 4:4

How much have we stored in our spirit?
Are we learning more and more every day?
Or, is it the same thing, over and over again?
Always arguing.... Never knowing the truth.

of course we have to live on every word that comes from the mouth of God.

I'm happy to hear that you agree.

I asked you to state what IT IS.

Good verse and statement. I think it ties conceptually with the love verses that are being discussed. If we read John14:10-26 Jesus ties spoken words (rhēma), commandments, and word(s) (logos) together and says it's from the Father.

The nonsense of show me a list is diversion. The list is ultimately the entire Text. It's quite simply do what God says - learn from everything He says, do what you learn.

"It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. (Jn. 6:63 NKJ)

Turn at my rebuke; Surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you. (Prov. 1:23 NKJ)
This is parallelism - pouring out His Spirit is making His words known.

I agree with your last few paragraphs (1, 3, and 4) with an additional statement:

Salvation is dependent on faith plus doing His will in the NT.
Yes sir...
I agree 100%

AFTER salvation,
we are to obey God...
we are to do His will.

Just as Jesus stated in

Matthew 7:21
21;“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.

I truly fail to understand how stating that we are required to obey God
can cause such disagreement among Christians.

Ik, I just wanted to emphasize that, since others need to know. There are some who think we should hold onto the old law/ Jewdiestic way of living. This is why I keep emphasizing that the OC was nailed to the cross. We are no longer under that Levitical law.

Yes sir.
We certainly are not under The Law.

We're under grace....
We're under the New Covenant.
We are indwelt with the Holy Spirit,
our helper, comforter, and convictor.

It is like you have said. What is the obedience list? What is the works list? God deals in absolutes, objective truth not some subjective "list."

Knowing Gods character and nature, one would know that salvation cannot be lost........If it could be lost, He would have unambiguous language telling us so.....Like he does with eternal security.

Never perish. Nothing can separate us from His love. We are born of imperishable seed. We have eternal life. No condemnation. We are His sheep.

We all know the sky is blue, but the loss of salvation crowd tries to convince us it may be puke green and yellow.

Good points. The lack of defining parameters for the borderlines outlining their slavation loss model has nothing but hypotheticals that they have likely never encountered in their lives, not to mention the textual injections they perpetrate as a routine. That criteria casts their false doctrinenal model into the arena of absurdity and clownish hermeneutics with them relying upon tactics even they would never accept from Mormons or Jehovah's Witnesses at their doors.

Not “sir”, I’m most definitely a “women”, daughter of Abraham through Christ. Lol

Still waiting on some scripture that states that we can never lose our salvation.
I offered more than 10, I think, and can post even more.

Can you post 2, 5?

You cannot.

Because JESUS taught that OSAS does not exist...
Paul also,
James also,,,

all the writers agree with each other and with Jesus.

Of course.

He does tell us in so many verses, warnings that you are obviously missing or disregarding; aptly the latter!!
