Hi, so I know Calvinism is a hot debate here. I am not a Calvinist.

Anyways, in the urge to push truth forward, I want to highly recommend Dr. Leighton Flowers youtube channel Sotreilogy 101. I believe this man is single handedly debunking Calvinism and seems to have an answer for everything.

Here's some good videos:

Praise God for men like him.

He has been much maligned, he however has stood firm in the correct soteriology, advancing the truth brilliantly in public spaces so that people lost in a false doctrine can be brought back to Biblical doctrine.

Their testimonies are inspiring!

He is having a true impact and people are leaving Calvinism because of his work,

Dr. Flowers is the tip of the spear as far as I have seen. The man is both graceful and brilliant. I've learned quite a bit from him.

Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

Jas 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Jas 1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

I know you like this man but he is not single handedly debunking Calvinism.

As if no other person can debunk Calvinism although there are millions of people against Calvinism.

I can debunk Calvinism with many scriptures to where it is easy to understand.

A do not understand a lot of people how they explain something.

Complicated, round about, words unnecessary, jumbled.

Agreed!!
I am so, so thankful for his work.
I am also thrilled you are as well! :)

I pray for God to reveal his word to me through his holy spirit. Actually , that's one of my greatest questions , and searches about my faith in God.

I highly recommend you look at Dr
Flowers take on every verse or perspective about the Calvinism debate. He has an answer. I beleive he has debunked Calvinism.

2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Act 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

I do not like to go to teachers to learn.

1. I believe that I will understand it better on my own with the help of the Spirit.

2. I would not adapt any falsehood they have.

3. I would be ashamed of myself not trying to understand through the scriptures.

4. We need not that any man teach us but the Spirit will teach us.

5. It is all in the Bible in complete form.

I do not understand why people go to teachers.

What you can't figure it out yourself.

Isa 59:1 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

Isa 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

Rom 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

It is no different from the Old Testament or New Testament.

Our sins separate us from God whether we confess Christ or not.

In the Old Testament the Jews that were disobedient to God's commandments which is goodness were cut off.

In the New Testament it is the same if you do not continue in the goodness of God you will be cut off.

If it was required in the Old Testament how much more will it be required in the New when a Spirit led person has the power to abstain from sin.

God is not going to say sin if you want it is alright.

Heb 3:8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

Heb 3:9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.

Heb 3:10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.

Heb 3:11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.

Heb 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

Heb 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Just like the disobedient Jews in the wilderness could not enter in to God's rest the saints who are disobedient will not enter in to God's rest.

Which is why the Bible warns the saints not to be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin which then they are being like the Jews in the wilderness.

Which they departed from the living God.

So sin does affect our relationship with God to no relationship.

But it can be corrected if a person acknowledges the truth and does likewise.

Luk 9:62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

2Pe 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

2Pe 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

2Pe 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Luk 12:47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

Luk 12:48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

Again if a person is saved and goes back to the world enjoying sins they will not be saved.

And it would have been better if they did not know the truth than to depart from it.

But it can be corrected if a person acknowledges the truth and does likewise.

Heb 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

Heb 6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

Heb 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

This is saying if a person departs from the truth to believe an alternate reality whether becoming atheist, not claiming Jesus as Lord and Savior anymore, or embracing another religion they cannot be saved again.

1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

1Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.

2Ti 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

2Ti 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

The new age christianity that interprets the Bible according to the occult and evolution, and people are going to evolve to be spiritual, and greater, and Jesus became an ascended master among others, and there is no personal God, but they honor the God of forces the power of the Cosmos, and the New Age Christ is the next world teacher.

The time will come that people will not want to hear the truth of the Bible but want to hear it according to the new age.

Some people will depart from the faith and follow the new age christianity.

Which if they departed from the faith it had to be true faith when they claimed faith.

For if it was false faith how could they depart from the faith.

So a person can depart from the faith.

These people cannot be saved again for God will not allow it.

But new agers that did not accept the truth can be saved.

But if they go back to the new age they cannot be saved.

And there is a difference between doubt and embracing it.

Some might wonder about the new age after they were saved thinking it might be true but not commit to it.

If they stop wondering about it and believe it is not true they are alright.

But while they are wondering about it then it is sin.

People that say faith alone and we cannot abstain from sin are sinning and holding on to sin.

So they do not come to the truth.

God does the calling and choosing on earth.

Luk 11:50 That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation.

God calls things that have not happened yet as already happened for if it is a plan of God to happen in the future it is the same as if it happened in the beginning for it will surely come to pass with no hinderance.

Predestination means that God already had the plan of salvation to give to mankind from the foundation of the world.

But this salvation is to all people for God wants all people to be saved.

Which the Spirit and bride say anybody can have that salvation.

The true bride would say salvation is available to all people.

Tablet, you're saying a lot, but going off topic. It just seems improper.

Teacher is a biblical position. It is in the scriptures.

Do you consider God a teacher? He is. The scriptures are made up of teachers. The prophets and apostles are teachers. You used a lot of scriptures to make... some kind of point of refuting teachers. All I need is one scripture to show all that is off, wierd, and wrong

Ephesians 4:11

11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,

If you believe in God and the scriptures, this should be more than enough. But I suspect with the essays you write... it won't. Teachers are biblical.

Predestination speaks about those IN CHRIST, Christians who are predestined

Let's look at Ephesians 1

Ephesians 1:1

1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God,

To the saints who are in Ephesus, and faithful in Christ Jesus:

Ephesians is addressing Christians IN CHRIST JESUS. This is not for non-believers. Will you accept this scripture or not?

Alright. The rest of Ephesians speaks about God choosing us IN CHRIST, not outside of Christ.

I imagine 4-7 are the verses your interested. Okay, so Calvinism to be supported, this would have to say, God regenerated you without consent, and forcefully and casually. We don't read this. What we do read is that the blessings being given to believers (remember Ephesians is addressing believers) is all IN CHRIST. Not outside of Christ. Calvinism states outside of Christ regeneration has to happen first before faith, before Christ. Read that carefully... BEFORE Christ. Ephesians is talking about the position those who are IN Christ, not BEFORE Christ. What Calvinism has to show is regeneration happened BEFORE Christ. Ephesians is about those IN Christ. We are chosen IN Christ, not OUTSIDE of Christ. Broken record, I know, but Calvinism hinges on regeneration OUTSIDE and BEFORE Christ.

4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He [a]made us accepted in the Beloved.

7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

Here is Dr. Flowers take on it. A man of his caliber can probably do a better job:

Dr. Flowers Predestination

I am against Calvinism.

Jas 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

God gave teachers but all saints are to preach the Gospel and to teach.

Which God does not give one person more wisdom than another but all equal wisdom.

Will a person deny teaching the truth to someone because they say I am not a teacher.

Especially when they have the same wisdom.

God wants all people to teach and relate scriptures to people.

A preacher and teacher does not get more wisdom than a common pew sitter.

I do not believe I will learn anything from Dr. Flowers for I am against Calvinism and can see it in scriptures.

1Ti 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

1Ti 4:11 These things command and teach.

2Ti 2:2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

2Ti 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient.

All the saints are to preach and teach.

I hate arrogancy and not out of line for relating scriptures as if only certain people can do that.

All the saints can have the same wisdom so are we to not tell people the truth because we say I am not a preacher or teacher.

A teacher is a person wise in the word of God used by Him.

But if all people can receive the same wisdom from God than any saint can attain on to great knowledge.

So a teacher can be anybody that applies themselves to understand the Bible.

2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Any saint can study having great knowledge of the Bible rightly dividing the word of truth.

Dr. Flowers does not get more knowledge and wisdom than any other saint.

The Bible says we do not need any person to teach us but the Spirit will teach us.

Which means we can come to the same assertion as Dr. Flowers if he is correct.

Solomon wouldn't be the wisest man that ever lived if God didn't give some more wisdom than others.

I disagree. I think you're really holding unto a false perception that all of us in Christ are equal in wisdom access. Solomon proves that wrong.

I'm glad you're against Calvinism.

Maybe we can agree to disagree. I don't like to debate on forums much. I'm more up for it in person. Typing kind of sucks for debating...

I'm glad you're into the word though and not a Calvinist too

I am against Calvinism.
