I think some useful emoji could be:
💯: this is used when you support someone's ideas greatly to the point of being 100% on board. I love this emoji.

🔥: when somethings really just good. Like beyond a "👍" which is more casual

😂: the current reaction emoji we have that expresses laughter looks almost sad? I actually uh...may have reacted inappropriately to some sad stories with it thinking it was...a..uh..crying emoji..

😭: for when things are relatably tragic, like its unlike the sad emoji. Its like when you drop your toast and it lands butter side down. Or like when mistakes are made.

💀: for when things are just funny but kind of messed up, or like when someone picks fun at someone else in a joking manner I see my friends react with this.

This is just how younger kids my age are using emojis, I so desire to have some of these on here! I look for them but remember they arent a reaction opition.

I know this sounds silly as im sure most of the users here aren't in their early 20's but..

We definitely need a crying. The current sad one could be misinterpreted as not liking that you posted that.

And I second the need for an eye rolling emoji. Also facepalm.

@Carlyw i'd like to get your attention and opinion as a Gen Z to this thread: https://christianchat.com/miscellaneous/pm-vs-dm.211391/

Also, can you explain to me how this emoji means crying?

Because this doesn't seem like crying. This seems more like laughing.
This one seems more like crying:

What is the rationale among your generation to use this artistic expression?
Thank you for your attention in this matter.

Because in what culture are the eyebrows raised when people are crying?
This is what i'd like to know.

Yesterday's word of the day was "askance." I would like an "askance" emoji

Because we dont laugh anymore, or just cry anymore...we crlaugh. Our generation is broken Eli, our generation is broken...

Kidding, obviously.

I kind of like that cry emoji, its more like for self depreciation than actual sympathy.

Like: "I just got my pop tart stuck in the toaster and burnt the house down 😭😭"

Vs: "Im sorry mom I burnt the house down 😢"

Or: "My family is so poor after tragic freak accident house fire 😔 #gofundme"

Thank you for explaining to this boomer (me) the rules of the emojis according to your generation.
The rules of the internet which dictate reality also say that if i am 1 day older than you, i am a boomer. Fax!
I didn't make this up. Don't hate the playa, hate the game.

Back in muh day Carly, when we used to eat dirt, we sort of had our inside language too but it involved mainly pixelated jokes because we didn't have high speed internet. So we had to wait and wait and wait for the joke to come through dialup and then we fell asleep a lot of times.

Probably emojis that are used a lot should be kept and those that are use little should be removed and a tally of how many were used monthly will indicate which one should be kept or removed and maybe an attachment in the emoji option to vote on possible new emojis.
