They're illegals but not criminals. It would be like arresting someone who is guilty of a traffic violation and sending them to state prison for it. When someone is ticketed for a traffic violation it goes on their driving record, but they don't now have a criminal record. If an illegal alien is deported, and then crosses illegally again, then it's a felony and they will have a criminal record if convicted. I'm not saying illegals shouldn't be deported necessarily, but maga's attempt to paint all undocumented immigrants as "criminals" is just false and shows their lack of understanding of the law. What ICE should do is what Donald said they'd, which is go after the truly dangerous predators, not those who are only guilty of a civil infraction.

Many had criminal records and were recidivists in this country. The Leftist Judges turned a blind eye to many of these repeat offenders, highly dangerous gang bangers, and such. As a result, many innocent citizens died at their hands. This is all blood on the Left!!!

The second (or more) times they are caught here illegally it's a felony and they are subject to serving time in prison before being deported.

Generally speaking the US has been really nice to these folks in just deporting them. In most other countries they make you spend a few months sometimes a few years in prison before deporting them to teach them the "error of their ways" for sneaking across the border.

As someone who came here LEGALLY it is very serious to break the law coming into to US or going into Canada. When we were coming into the US someone mentioned possibly staying after our Visas, to get greencards. The border agent looked at us and said very seriously " I didn't hear that!!". The laws are extremely serious and we were told if we broke the law in any was it was an automatic 10yrs out of the country.
