It will be high noon on Valentine's Day for you. For people in New York City it will be 6:00 p.m. on Friday the 13th.
As for why you would want to be in chat at that time on that day, that's up to you.
Also, isn't Friday the 13th bad luck? Like Black Friday.

Have you ever taught a TESOL class? You have to spell things out to people, and explain idioms because we will not get them straight away.

Okay that's another colloquialism. Old doesn't mean you are literally elderly. Same old lanolin means, literally, lanolin has not changed one bit since the last time we saw her.

Let's see what kind of fun we can kick up on Friday the 13th!!! Lynx will be there at the start; due to time differences, I get there about an hour later. We usually go for another hour after that, but just kind of go with the crowd. You can come and go as you please, and whether you want to talk on the mic, only type, or be a silent lurker, we welcome you to stop by!
Now if I were the one opening the room, I like "colorful" titles (just like for my threads) and would choose something like MischiefManagedMarvelously, but... alas. I have to behave. New users to the site and those not familiar with my antics might misunderstand.
And so, I shall try to be good (not very exciting.) I can't guarantee we'll have a chat as lively as last time, but we can try!
If nothing else, I've checked in a few times to get a feel for the regular chat crowd and a regular mod always threatens to tase me -- even when it's SOMEONE ELSE who's causing the trouble and I haven't done anything!! (Scout's honor, it wasn't me!!)So if that mod is there, you'll at least see me trying to bob, weave, and dodge my way past security the whole time!
Both marrieds and singles have shown up to every chat, so feel free to drop by no matter what you're status (bring your spouse along if you can!)
We're all about sharing the days of our lives (but with a little less drama,) and maybe even having a few laughs along the way.

Think this is a great idea but i'm very security conscious, bought my first webcam just a few months ago but it's still an online virgin. I don't have a problem other members seeing me, it's the powers i think shouldn't be doing so i have issues with, however, i could allow the microphone but not the camera? I am very techy but haven't done such things as yet.
Not certain i can make this Friday but would really appreciate your thoughts Seoul as it's something i'd actually love to participate in. You rock for organising it, God's blessings and all that's good for now.

and we'd love to have you. Don't worry about not appearing on camera if you don't want to. I don't either -- I prefer typing and am occasionally on the mic. My laptop still has the factory sticker over the camera lens, so it can't pick anything up. I think I've had this laptop for 3 years, and have personally never found a reason to unleash its camera.
You do what you're comfortable with! Everyone is welcome to adjust to chat in their own way, whether it's lurking, typing, talking on the mic, appearing on camera, or talking with just a still avatar that isn't them.
The only thing we try to avoid is anyone coming in and "taking over" for their own agenda. If people are wanting Bible study, praise, and worship sessions, that's almost always going on in another room on the chat board, so there are other options for that.
Our goal is to try to help ease people's loneliness by giving them a place to hang out, talk, joke, and share about their lives.
I have to give Lynx most of the credit for these chats. Due to different time zones, he gets there first, sets it all up, and gets things rolling. I couldn't do it without him, as I can "hold" conversations on the forum (via threads,) but I'm not so good at doing so in a chat and on a mic. Lynx has that talent, as well as his (soon-to-be) world famous Radio Announcer Voice.

I'm sorry we can't offer more days and times as of now, but that's when our schedules are available for now.
I'm hoping that in the future, maybe others will be inspired to start their own chats, offering people a wider variety of days and times.
