Proverbs 22:8
Whoever sows injustice will reap calamity,
and the rod of his fury will fail.
his fury will fail.
His will not.

If Trump is going totally mad (he is already mad) I will emigrate to Australia or New Zealand. Maybe the latter country will be the safest place on earth when everything else is going right into darkness.

to escape antichrist, try Antarctica lol

... or actual Christianity, not modern republicanism

It's good to see Canada spiritually supporting the 6000 residents of Greenland.

The U.K. media is reporting that Mr Trump has told Europe , that it will all have to pay a 10 percent trade tariff on all goods until Denmark gives him Greenland . Is this true ? If it is true , what does the average American make of this demand ?
Is the US/Greenland thing much different from the Israel/Palestine thing? Except Trump is not threatening or using force or genocide to get the land, he's offering a very generous amount for it? Wouldn't most Greenlanders be better off under Trump than the Danish king, anyway?

(I wasn't a fan of this when I first heard about it, but Trump does have some good ideas. This is probably another of them.)

The demand is true. Mr Trump seems determined to destroy the NATO alliance and reshape the world order in his image. I'm not American, but Australia has been a firm ally of America starting in WW2. Right now, substantial America forces are arriving in Australia. I just hope it's not with the intent of taking over this country. I'm kidding, of course. But with Mr Trump, anything is possible or so it seems.
If US forces conquered Australia, it would not be seen as invasion, it would be seen as liberation. Most Australians would be glad to be rid of their corrupt leadership, many of whom seem to feature prominently in the recently released Epstein files.

I'd be glad to see the end of Albanese's Government. Do I want an American administration? No way. Mr Trump is pro authoritarian leaders such as Putin and Xi. He knows little of real diplomacy. He makes threats and promises alike, rarely keeping either. Just ask the long suffering people of Iran. Epstein had countless people in his circle of corruption. That includes Mr Trump. Pots and kettles comes to mind.

Mr Trump falsely accuses President Zelensky of starting the Ukraine war. When it comes to Israel, yes, Mr Trump has done some good things. He also backtracks on threats and promises there also. He expects Israel to quit fighting Hamas, which would leave tens of thousands mass murderers in control of Gaza.

Do I want someone like that in control here? No. You won't find too many Australians who would accept American control either. Americans seem to have a vastly inflated idea of how attractive their lifestyle is.

I have nothing against Americans, far from it. I've visited twice, once for work (1994) and once as a tourist (2016) I was surprised at how much the people have changed. Those I met seemed more negative and discontented last time.

Mr Trump was supposed to fix America's problems. I believe that no man has the ability to do that. It is God who makes great. Or pulls down.

Australia hasn't had a democratically elected government since before the days of Bob Hawke. Maybe some Australians wouldn't like Trump (not all of them are smart people), but at least a Trump leadership would bring into focus that which many haven't realised for decades - its leaders are selected, not elected.

The country has a right to refuse even if it were to their detriment.

As Churchill said, democracy is the worst for of government, apart from any other form of government. Trump a leader? Spare me. The only thing Mr Trump cares about is himself. I prefer leaders who keep their word, do not make deals with people like Putin, who don't threaten to take once friendly nations by force and who don't go around demanding that people bow and scrape to make them feel better about themselves.

The best leader we had was John Howard. Bob Hawke was good, very intelligent and pragmatic. He was the last Labor leader worth a cracker.

The real problem with all nations is spiritual. As the church becomes increasingly self absorbed, compromising with the world and avoiding discipleship, God lifts His blessing. We end up with pathetic leaders who surrender their nations to whichever self interest group shouts the loudest. So you end up with a Muslim minority controlling the non Muslim majority.

Mr Trump finally lost me when he refused to step in to help Iranians. It's appalling.

Mr Trump threatened to use force to occupy Greenland. He's backtracked on that as he is wont to do.

Yes part of the PR spin, manufacture consent to acclimatize people to what will eventually happen.... but time will tell.
