So I went to the cardiologist yesterday and he said my second ECG was great but then he went on saying that he recommends that I be put on a sleep apnea machine at night while I’m sleeping, a medication called metoprolol, that I have aFib, that he might recommend that I get a procedure done on my heart to prevent heart attack or stroke.
My grandmother had the same issue, so it seems to run in the family.
if you guys can pray for me and my heart, I’d appreciate.
Also, if you can pray that I lose 75 pounds, that’d be great too. The doctor said most of my problems would be solved if I just lost the weight.

I had an AFib in 2017. I've been on blood thinner, low dose blood pressure and metaprolol ever since. I'm only a few kg overweight.

The meds are OK. I have no side effects. But I also exercise. I had a serious illness a few years ago and that set me back. If you can get to a pool, swimming is ideal. It is good for aerobic and low impact muscle development. You need also need load bearing (weights) to improve bone density.

It is too easy to overdo it if you are starting out. Just because you can, does not mean you should. Many light weight repetitions are better than the grunt and groan straining the gym junkies love. Muscles get sore but recover. Joints can take weeks or more. I have a couple of light dumbells at home and use them every second day.

Cut out sugar if you can. It's dead calories with little nutritional value. Starvation diets rarely work. I know someone who lost 50 kg, over 100 lbs. He put it all back on within a couple of years.

Apparently, the surgery that is recommended that I get done is some sort of ablation for someone like me with aFib.

My friend Chris got it done a month ago and he is doing great he says, that he highly recommends I get it done.

So I’ll be talking to my doctor about it this morning.

Hi @YouOnlyLiveTwice ...
I had severe Afib most of my life...I had the ablation done 4 yrs ago and have not looked back...I had what they call a third leg ,false chamber coming from my heart and it would make my heart rythem go out of sink , so they burned the false chamber off and I have never has a rapid heartbeat like before...Praying all goes well for you...

Apparently, some patients leave the hospital same day or even next day. I just hope I’m put under of course. I wonder what kind of aFib I have…

According to my friend Chris, whose heart beat has been recorded to go as fast as 350bpm, while at work, my aFib is not as bad as his was.

My heart beat has only been recorded going as fast as 101bpm, since I’ve been recording my blood pressure/heart beat.

Lately I’ve been getting almost perfect scores with my blood pressure. Last I recorded was 120/75, where I think 120/80 is perfect, when it comes to blood pressure.

Mine went up to 230 and was blue lighted...They turned me upside down in ambulence to keep oxegon going into my brain...They can do it under local through your groin...I went under fully to have mine done...Look forward to hearing your updates ,...I could not even turn over in bed , or sit on a train as the turning or jolting from the train was enough to start my Afib...Your friends was really really high , I thought mine was but his just out runs me lol...Glad your preasure is good measure...

Apparently that is what his smartwatch read, who knows how accurate those things are.

I just came back from my primary doctor, after getting blood work done the other day and apparently my results were excellent according to my previous results.

Just got to get an MMR booster and lower my triglycerides a little more.

I think after fasting, my triglycerides will finally be at the right level, according to blood panel results.

Everything else that was over or under the correct results, was only off my 1 point.

Today is probably the healthiest I’ve been in a very long time, when it comes to blood work.

Very very thankful.

Whenever they say "a procedure on the heart", they mean a risky surgery. As mild and "routine" as they make it sound, It's not a haircut and a manicure.

One thing I am trying to quit praying for people is that the MD will be given wisdom and direction.

Why?

It's because my observations are that they are typically profit driven according to hospital rules.
That means that they do not consult God. Their god is the written protocols that give only chemicals and operations.
Nutritional support and lifestyle changes are not optional when it comes to hospitals.....

By the grace of The Great Physician, we saw healing happen that was considered absolutely impossible by the Drs who place their faith in their medical "science".

As a child of God and His patient, you owe it to Him to become an informed patient. Seek and ye shall find. He provided me and many others some doable solutions that don't include killing nerves and heart tissue.
That's the medical "correction" for the irregular heart beats that some experience.

I've seen this book for $6 used in good condition. If you shop around, it's usually available under ten bucks.

I was best friends with a famous Doctor of Osteopathy who started his own hospital. I loaned him my book and he was welcome to write notes in the margins and cover.
He benefited from the information and my consultations. He lived way past the average of those who rely on drugs and surgery. YMMV

My wife uses a CPAP machine at night due to sleep apnea and also takes Metoprolol for aFib. Being doing this for years with no major problems occurring. I will say a prayer for you for this health issue.

I’m going to be doing a sleep study to see if I even need a sleep apnea machine. It was just recommended by the doctor. I honestly don’t know what they are for, other than maybe causing poor sleep, which I do kinda have.

I think if I just lost weight, I wouldn’t have that issue but losing weight and keeping it off long term has never been able to be done, at least for me.

I think if I was off all psyche meds, I’d be skinny again but who knows…I guess maybe we’ll find out this year.
