do you deny he was teaching the ten commandments? and what is it I avoid?
And why are you giving a thumbs down to the following, dwelling on impure thoughts transgresses the tenth commandment:

'''Would you not like to comment on the post as a whole? Can you confirm, as you believe righteousness hinges on obeying the TC, that includes not dwelling on any impure thought? If you do, you must end up in hell, for you cannot then be righteous in God's sight?'''

Not everything written in the Bible is a commandment.

The Blessings are not commandments, its something man should strive for but all of them would be fulfilled if we obey God.

Jesus quoted directly from the commandments He was referring to Mat5:19-30 something God said were commandments Exo20:6 written and spoken by God Himself.

Is it sin not to obey Jesus teaching in the gospels?

Why did you give the above the thumbs down Vassal? Are you only interested in obeying the TC outwardly?

Is it sin not to obey Jesus teaching in the gospels?
Sin is breaking the law of God 1John3:4 Rom7:7 James 2:11 and anything not of faith Rom14:23 which would include all of His teachings Mat5:19-30 John14:15 Mat4:4 and following in His example He left for us 1John2:6

The blessings God gives is a result of our obedience to Him. if no one was sinning, breaking the law of God we would all be receiving the blessings. Sadly not everyone does.

So it is sin not to obey Jesus teaching/commands in the gospels.
It is sin not to lend to someone without ever expecting anything back
It is sin if you do not give someone more than what they stole with nothing but love in your heart for them
It is sin to invite friends and family home for a meal rather than the poor, blind, lame and beggars
It is sin not to leap for joy if you are persecuted
How are you getting on not committing sin?

This whole judging strangers on the Internet is strange. It really says more about the person doing so than anything else.

The Ten Commandments start inwardly by thoughts and feelings, the outwardly shows what's in our heart. They work together not in opposition. Jesus taught this plainly. Mat15:3-19

Its called using discernment, and Jesus did tell us to beware of the yeast of the pharisees and saducees which is hypocrisy Luke12:1

And you do not have to commit any outward act to transgress the tenth commandment

Oh you have had much addressed, however, you cannot properly respond to what is placed before you
Interesting you gave the thumbs down to a request to affirm that if the TC are transgressed on the inside a person would lose their righteousness, based on your opinions

I was taught when someone points a finger at someone they have three pointing back at them. :)

Getting stuck on Paul and losing sight of what Jesus taught I think is the bigger issue. Especially when we are told plainly many misunderstand him and twist sadly to a place where Jesus says depart from Me. Jesus is the way, how did Jesus live what did He teach. Jesus never taught lawlessness, He plainly said if you love Me, keep My commandments. John14:15 Paul never taught anything different. He taught if we are in Christ why would we want to love in sin (breaking God's law) any longer. Rom6:1-4 if we are not walking a new life in Christ we might want to consider the path we are on.

The opposite is true.

Many read what Jesus said mainly to the Jews and ignore Paul.

Jesus was sent only to the Jews.

Matthew 15:24
But He answered and said, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

They cannot comprehend that Jesus was sent only to the Jews.

When they read a gospel they see the law every where and assume Jesus is talking to them.

It is not an issue because there is NO Gentiles or Jews.

We are one in Christ.

No dividing line, no reason to differentiate.

So why did Paul write Romans in which he explains why the Jews failed in their quest for righteousness?

Romans 9:1-4
I am telling the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience testifies with me in the Holy Spirit, that
I have great sorrow and unceasing grief in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were accursed, separated
from Christ for the sake of my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh, who are Israelites, to whom belongs
the adoption as sons, and the glory and the covenants and the giving of the Law and the temple service and the promises.

Yes—during His earthly ministry, Jesus’ mission began with Israel It was priority in sequence not sole recipient.

Romans 1:16 To the Jew first, and also to the Greek

But even in the chapter you are quoting Jesus heals a Gentile women's daughter and it was by her faith that healed her Mat15:28

Jesus taught openly before the Cross

Mat 8:11 Many will come from east and west and recline at table with Abraham
Mat 5:1 And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. 2 Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying
Luke 6:17 And He came down with them and stood on a level place with a crowd of His disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear Him and be healed of their diseases

There was never two gospel messages only one.

The Jews were bestowed with the oracles of God but through their unbelief and disobedience it went to the gentiles

Acts 13:44 On the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God. 45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy; and contradicting and blaspheming, they opposed the things spoken by Paul. 46 Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said, “It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken to you first; but since you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.

To add the apostles never taught something different than Jesus.

Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go [c]therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” [d]Amen.

Shall we add the context to your quotation of the Gentile woman's daughter.

Matthew 15:21-28
Jesus went away from there, and withdrew into the district of Tyre and Sidon. And a Canaanite woman
from that region came out and began to cry out, saying, “Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David; my daughter
is cruelly demon-possessed.” But He did not answer her a word. And His disciples came and implored Him,
saying, “Send her away, because she keeps shouting at us.” But He answered and said,
I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
But she came and began to bow down before Him, saying, “Lord, help me!” And He answered and said,
It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.” But she said, “Yes, Lord; but
even the dogs feed on the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table
.” Then Jesus said to her,
“O woman, your faith is great; it shall be done for you as you wish.” And her daughter was healed at once.

It is obvious that Jesus was not sent to the Gentiles.

I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

Jesus arrived to fulfill the law and the prophets and to redeem Israel.

That was the Lord's primary mission.

The Gentiles were grafted into the root of the olive tree at a later time.

You repeated everything that was already addressed. There is only one people in Christ and its through faith Gal3:26-29. There has never been two gospel messages, just one and its everlasting Rev14:7. Yes, it started with the Jews, Gentiles could always be grafted in, but when the Jews went away from the word of God that same gospel message went to the Gentiles to teach the world- God message has always been for all people, anyone who has a heart to hear and follow. Jesus taught man should live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God Mat4:4 and He was quoting OT.

The Ten Commandments start inwardly by thoughts and feelings, the outwardly shows what's in our heart. They work together not in opposition. Jesus taught this plainly. Mat15:3-19

You strongly teach the law.

You openly state that the law defines sin.

Then you narrow down the law to just ten commandments.

What about a plethora of other sins?

Loving the world. Loving money. Loving self. Sorcery, kidnapping, assaulting someone, anger, drunkenness.
drugs, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying. Avoiding tax,
driving through school zones at speed, disobeying civil law. The list is endless.

All rebellion against God, the Government, and society in general is sin.

All rebellion is sin.

I do really believe that people that hold to the law, that is, the ten commandments. Are capable of
profound levels of sin without even realizing it. Simply because they do not understand that we are a
new creation in Christ. A completely new inner person that undergoes an inner transformation driven
by the Holy Spirit.

Unfortunately for you, where the fruit of the Holy Spirit resides the law itself becomes useless.

Your obedience is powerless to implement that inner change as only the Holy Spirit will do that.

You repeated everything that was already addressed. There is only one people in Christ and its through faith Gal3:26-29. As long as you understand that the Jews were first in line.

The Jews had the covenants and knew God.

The Gentile nations were never members of those covenants and never knew God.

Israel was the apple of the Lord's eye and not the Gentiles (the dogs).

Every word for the Gentiles was given through the mouth of the apostle to the Gentiles.

Paul wrote a third of the New Testament and what Paul wrote was addressed to the Gentiles.

You cannot obey every word that the Lord said to the Jews, that's impossible.
