Following up on immunotherapy : Little-known enzyme could supercharge immune cells to tackle cancer

They have identified a gene which produces more T-cells in your blood. Tcells are basically your warriors that kill infections and cancer cells.
Cancer overwhelms T-cells but with a customized treatment which includes drawing your blood and re-inserting your own blood back to you but modified with enhanced T-cells, your body will produce more t-cells to kill cancer cells.

In nature, there is a fascinating creature that does this naturally. The whale!
For some reason that only God knows, the whale which is a very large animal will simply kill any cancer cells naturally with its enhanced t-cells.
The whale is a great example, because the rule is that the larger you are or more overweight you are, the higher the chances of getting cancer. Yet, the whale which is the largest animal i think, has no problem with this because its t-cells are supercharged.

Maybe one day soon we will develop this for humans. Because the problem of cancer is ultimately a problem of dignity. It's a disease that robs people of their dignity ... and then we go into other uncomfortable areas such as ending your life with dignity.

Because we will all go some day, but for the sake of our family members and your own self you may choose to go with more dignity as opposed to the alterative which i'd rather not talk about.
Hmm there are a whole lot of people around who look like whales. Perhaps they will develop super T-Cells. On a more serious note, Dr James Tour has developed a "nano-drill." It is light activated. There are dyes that are designed to attache to cancer cells. The nano-drill can seek out the dye and drill into the cancer cell and destroy it. It's awaiting FDA approval. Dr Tour is a Messianic Jew based at Rice University. He is a preacher and evangelist. I don't know when he finds time to sleep.

Yes, this has also made big news here in the NorthEast and it's very promising.

From the lead Cancer Researcher at Vanderbilt.....

The whole direction of Cancer therapies are heading towards individualized therapies for everyone.

Meaning there is not going to be a universal drug therapy for cancer. There will be an S.O.P. for when diagnosed with cancer....
BUT
The problem is with the insurance companies. They refuse to pay.

They only will pay for the cheapest therapies instead of the most successful.

You are at cross purposes with your insurance company.

You get diagnosed with cancer and they will first want to pay and try a therapy that only has a 30% chance of success instead of the expensive therapy that has a 70% chance of success.

Your survival?
Not a consideration.

This is why people are flocking to Medical Savings Accounts. These have a generous major medical policy but a whopping sized cash account attached that pays for just about anything medical or needed because of your medical condition. Including entertainment devices or travel. You can have a cool million in an MSA and no insurance plan whatsoever. YOU are the sole arbiter of what your treatment regime will be.
If the doctors in your area are incapable of the therapy you desire....you can travel to the doctors you desire that can....all paid out of your MSA.

One of the other benefits of having an MSA is that doctors and hospitals no longer have a rude and picayune insurance company to deal with. These insurance companies cost a fortune in staff for the medical care facilities to apply for reimbursement.

On a $5,000 bill for services the medical facility will insure another $3,000 in costs trying to prove they administered the treatment that the insurance company finally approved after first denying the routine standards of care.

With an MSA....YOU nor the doctor don't need this back and forth with the insurance company. The doc tells you what he wants to do and why and it's done. You write the checks and its all over....you now get cured much cheaper and quicker.

Indeed John. Insurance companies call the shots in USA and they guide the doctors. It's supposed to be the other way around.
It's sad but it's still better than many areas around the world.

It's up to the patient to find the best course of treatment after talking to many doctors and you have to be your own advocate and push hard while dealing with the stress and anxiety of having a cancer diagnosis.

We also need to remember the other side of the coin that even millionaires are not spared from this disease so the matter of dignity comes into question after.

I read in recent news that Michael Schumacher, a formula 1 racer who has been in a vegetative state for 12 years since he hit his head on a rock in a skiking accident, is no longer bedriden (for 12 years) and is now able to sit in a chair.
This is thanks to his wife who stood by his side for all these years (which means that she loves him) and because he has A TEAM of people serving him 24/7 while living in his million dollar mansion.

He's not a cancer patient by the way but now the question is. If it takes 12 years with insane resources to go from bedridden to a wheelchair, do you call that living?
I mean his wife loves him and if he's aware to appreciate that now ... he should live to love her back.

Being a caregiver for family is emotionally and physically difficult. May the Lord bless them abundantly with life everlasting.
I'm not going to speak for him or his wife. Only they can answer your question. I can only guess that it was love plus a strong pro life ethic.

I can however speak to my own family.

The medical Dr at the biggest hospital in the state said my Dad was dead from the motorcycle accident.
God decided to show the wise in his own eyes to be a fool.
He brought Dad back to life.
The physicians then said he was "a vegetable" and would need full time care for the rest of his natural physical life. That's Dr speak for "just put him down like a dog at the pound and pay me my thousand$."

That idol that people put their trust in was able to destroy our family in ways I won't go into.
Dr idol would have been of far more benefit to humanity if he studied to be a dog warden rather than a physician.

The great physician heard someone's cry and decided to heal my Dad's brain and lead him out of that pound without asking any fools permission. He walked home and was my awesome father until another dog at the Clarksburg VA hospital killed him.

Amen!
Like i've said before, we have plans and then God has plans.
Miracles which are a favorite topic of mine should be the main force of motivation for our fallen world here but a prayer that we do in our church also includes a union with God without suffering and with dignity.
This is a difficult and personal topic for everyone in the family that is involved. May God spare us from such burdens.

HiH finds that to be boring?💤
You just showed your true face.

Don't worry about it. She has TDS and a lot of other issues.
But what @JohnDB posted is the thing i was talking about and i'm so happy to see it successfully working.
I knew an airforce pilot in the hospital who had this same thing done to him experimentally and he's still alive.

Bless him.

There's a video where an older man was diagnosed with cancer. Colon rectal,I believe.
In any case,he used a dewormer that's recommended for livestock as a natural treatment. It has a history of affective ness. And because some research has found parasites are a.huge factor in certain cancers.
It worked. He's cancer free.
I'll see if I can find the video. It was posted a few years ago.

Found it. I was wrong. It was lung cancer.

Similar to this i heard other cases by doctors, since i work in hospitals for computer-related work, where they gave a patient who had a specific cancer a higher fever from a malaria caused by a specific mosquito and kept his temperature controlled for a couple of days to cure his type of cancer.

The thing is, because cancer is unique for each person, we need the immunotherapy option where your own body fights the cancer after your T-cells are boosted by the medication. This will be the future replacing chemotherapy. Because chemo is like an atomic bomb in your whole body, to treat a small area. Not the best but this is all we got. Hopefully immunotherapy will be the standard, which will allow people to keep standard of life and dignity.

I've known people diagnosed with terminal cancers.
This cancer is going to kill you. We're doctors, and we say so.

Then, they prescribe traditional treatments that destroy their quality of life. Under the auspices, those will extend their chance of survival.

I watched a documentary once where an Oncologist said his profession is all about the money first.
If a patient credit check shows they can't afford treatments that stand a chance of a cure,or gaining remission, they're never told about them. Because they can't afford it,or their insurance won't cover it.

"First,do no harm...."

Yeah.

Yeah.

I hope God judges these doctors harshly. Because preying or profiting from the weak is very despicable. It happens to the elderly especially. There's a movie about it called "I care a lot" based on true stories where people scam the elderly by making them sick in hospitals so they can take their money.
Just despicable. These are the doctors who have a 'god complex' usually. They think they are the ones who discovered medicine. Very arrogant and it's best to avoid them. But a patient with cancer who might be alone, old and without family doesn't have time to think about this. It's a sad situation and i hope God judges these so-called doctors or even insurance companies who drive the course of treatment, very harshly.

One of the things that this discussion kinda bypasses is the subject of what cancer itself is precisely.

It can be viral,
It can be a result of infection
A result of infestation
Radiation damage
RNA corruption
DNA corruption
Or a host of other causes.

There is no "catch all" cause or cure. And not all cancers are solid. Some are liquid tumors.

Saying a diagnosis of cancer is kinda like saying a diagnosis of a "problem with your arm".....

Each different type of cancer requires a specific cure to address the type and conditions. Lots of tests are required to determine the precise type of cancer and location. Some cancers are rather tenuous....meaning just about anything will destroy the cancer. Some are rather sturdy...like lung cancer....which is tantamount to a death sentence of some sort which "How long I got left?" Is the next question. 80% fatality)

Some cancers are slow growing and benign...some aggressive and fast spreading.

I hear all this nonsense about various "home cures" or inexpensive cures that "they dont want you to know" and what I guess what bothers me the most is the false hope they give to desperate and gullible people.
That whole "they dont want you to know" is the most fake and clickbait hook line ever created....over used even before the internet was popular.
If you see this line....STOP, Know that everything from that post is an outrageous lie.

My wife works in cancer research with lots of various drug and therapy trials. (NIH, WHO, and privately funded research)

Lies have absolutely zero limits and extremely generalized. Truth is always highly nuanced and category specific.

There are tens of thousands of various cancer drugs and therapies (due to the various types of cancer.) Claiming a single drug can address thousands of types of cancer from thousands of different causes....NUTS!

Did you support and defend the COVID 19 vaccine?

Did you support and defend the COVID 19 vaccine?

Absolutely not relevant to the topic at hand.

I support real and honest science.
That hasn't happened in a long time for some of these "hot button" topics...and it needs to return. RFK is not returning us to honest science either unfortunately. Honest research and science exists....NOBODY is using any to make decisions and instead using fear mongering and political discourse to drive medical decisions. RFK's decisions arent any better or worse than what was chosen before....both lacked science to drive the decisions.

Dumbest thing I've seen in a long time.
