I think everyone supports violent criminals who have stolen billions and are involved in human trafficking and drug smuggling to be prosecuted for their crimes and if here illegally to be deported.
The question everyone has is if those are the only ones being deported or if the sheer volume in people being rounded up and deported is going to include innocent people who have not been involved in any crimes other than the fact that they need help with their visa. I think they pointed out that 50% of Somalis in Minnesota are on government assistance. Which of course means that 50% are not on government assistance.
On January 6th we all saw videos of criminals behaving horrendously. The issue was not with those people being arrested and prosecuted. The problem many had was that it seemed many of the people who were arrested had been duped into going into the capital building thinking the police had let them in, they were respectful and their guilt was questionable, perhaps trespassing was the extent of it. No one thought that those ones needed to be kept in prison for years.
