In this case i made an incorrect assumption about your knowledge in the topic because since you said you work in IT, i assumed you're up to speed with a lot of science news.

Funny. Are you trying to escape from the fact that you have not documented your claim about CO ?
I ask again: What does CO have to do about climate change? You brought CO up into this discussion, and of course it's your task to follow it up. If you do not - I am utterly sceptic to your "knowledge" of climate change.

I like your bluff. You ask me about what CO2 is while you don't want to define it.

Okay, the definition of human made global warming is the increase of CO2 since the industrial revolution.

Go on. Make your response now.

Make your response now.

I seems that you just don't understand what we are talking about. So I have to repeat:

What is my bluff?
And you still haven't answered my request. Who is bluffing here?

At this point i'm assuming a language barrier. Feel free to correct me.
Let me give you a recap of where we are in the convo.

* You said that my comment of carbon monoxide is incorrect in relation to global warming.
* I then asked you to define what global warming is.
* You still didn't respond.
* I gave you the accepted definition.
* ..... now we are here.

now we are here.

Dear readers,

Please follow the discussion between Eli1 and me, and I think you will see that what Eli1 tries to do, is what is called "Clouding the issue". This is a bad way of discussing, leaving very little praise, in my view nothing, to the one doing it. "Clouding the issue" might be explained as follows:

Clouding the issue" refers to deliberately or unintentionally making a matter, topic, or decision more complicated, unclear, or confusing. It involves obscuring the main point by introducing irrelevant information, distractions, or excessive details. This tactic is often used to avoid direct answers or to hide the truth.

An example of this is:

  • Distraction: Drawing attention away from the core subject.

And I see that that's exactly what Eli1 is doing. So if this is a trend from Eli1, be aware, and arrest Eli1 when doing so.

Your response is hilarious for 2 reasons.
First is because it's a good joke.
But, because you might believe this is true it makes the joke even better.
I know the programmed Harvard types. I don't live far from them.

A summary of a discussion with a leftist.

- Launching rockets into space is easy.
- Oh really? How easy? Wanna go over some details?
- YOU'RE CLOUDING THE ISSUE!

Can't we cure global warming by giving it a sodium bicarbonate tablet?

no, unfortunately you need to shrink your carbon footprint, and maybe pay a carbon tax in the future.

the people that fly anywhere they want in private jets and sail on big yachts say so..

Well, somebody has to pay their royal gas bill. It might as well be assigned as a privilege for the commoners, as a tribute to their majesty.

A lot of silly conspiracy theories around here.

Man-made global warming is real. The physics are clear and no one - even the most eager climatechange denier - can escape from the laws of physics. This warming is a serious threat to our planet and we should do something about it.
Sure, send the world back to the stone age. The problem is human nature. Change that and you have some hope. Look at the outrage against Electric vehicles. Why? Because the oil industry stands to lose a vast amount of money if everyone goes electric. Oil companies fund propaganda to turn buyers away from EVs. Legacy car companies don't want to change their manufacturing processes. They are so set in their ways that it's near impossible to change them. So they lose money on EV's. They lose the income from ongoing servicing costs and dealer networks are up in arms, of course.

"We should do something about it". What, exactly? Are you willing to eat bugs and ride a bicycle for the rest of your life to save the planet?

The other thing you should know is that climate change is God's judgement on the world that has turned away from Him. That's the real problem.

You wrote "carbon monoxide" which makes me sceptical to your knowledge of climate gases. What does CO have to do about climate change?
Let me enlighten you. A 10 second google search will tell you too.

CO directly only slightly adds to greenhouse gases. However, it reacts with other atmospheric gases and so extends the life of methane in the atmosphere. Methane is one of the worst greenhouse gases. It also converts to Ozone, also a greenhouse gas at atmospheric levels.

CO2 at least improves the environment for plant life. Some growers raise the CO2 level in greenhouses to improve yields. Satellite imagery demonstrates that the earth is getting greener. There are no positives for CO.

No people on the Moon and it is there. It is a myth like global freezing from the 70's

in the 70's, the " experts" were sure that another ice age was coming. so sure.

so, maybe take what " experts" say with a grain of salt..
