Many times when we read psalms about enemies, we think about the enemies of David, thus human enemies. I realized it is possible to interpret these psalms to be about spiritual enemies: the devil and his fallen angels. Here is something from Psalm 71:
12 God, do not be far from me;
My God, hurry to my aid!
13 May those who are enemies of my soul be put to shame and consumed;
May they be covered with disgrace and dishonor, who seek to injure me.
14 But as for me, I will wait continually,
And will praise You yet more and more.
Right now my enemies try to injure me through the tumors I got. But they will be consumed one day.

Give a listen to Kenneth Hagin's healing testimony. He had three diseases that the top surgeons at the time told him he had no hope of surviving. With a deformed heart, bad blood and paralysis he lay on his bed of affliction for months but what he had was a Bible on the nightstand. Listen to the video and see who's report he believed the Dr's or the Word of God. (the static is bad but it's a shorter one)
