For the 10,000th time we are sheep. We accept it because He changes our spiritual nature. We can't turn away completely because no one (not even ourselves because we are someone) can pluck us from His hand.

So we are mindless sheep who have no choice but to follow. So why would we have to work out our salvation with fear and trembling?

You don't read very well...it's called english
Being a jackdonkey isn’t serving you well. I said “leading question”; you said “misleading question”.

Now… who don’t read so good?

God, gets to pick. as scripture says clearly
I gave already a scripture that say this that it is God that chooses, here is another one, will you again reject scripture?

Jhn 17:1 When Jesus had spoken these things, He lifted up His eyes to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son may glorify You.
Jhn 17:2 For You granted Him authority over all people, so that He may give eternal life to all those You have given Him.
Jhn 17:3 Now this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.

The rest of John 17 is Magnificent. for me the one of the most important chapter in scripture of the bible for all who believe.

Jhn 17:4 I have glorified You on earth by accomplishing the work You gave Me to do.
Jhn 17:5 And now, Father, glorify Me in Your presence with the glory I had with You before the world existed.
Jhn 17:6 I have revealed Your name to those You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours; You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.
Jhn 17:7 Now they know that everything You have given Me comes from You.
Jhn 17:8 For I have given them the words You gave Me, and they have received them. They knew with certainty that I came from You, and they believed that You sent Me.
Jhn 17:9 I ask on their behalf. I do not ask on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those You have given Me; for they are Yours.
Jhn 17:10 All I have is Yours, and all You have is Mine; and in them I have been glorified.
Jhn 17:11 I will no longer be in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, protect them by Your name, the name You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one.
Jhn 17:12 While I was with them, I protected and preserved them by Your name, the name You gave Me. Not one of them has been lost, except the son of destruction, so that the Scripture would be fulfilled.
Jhn 17:13 But now I am coming to You; and I am saying these things while I am in the world, so that they may have My joy fulfilled within them.
Jhn 17:14 I have given them Your word and the world has hated them; for they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
Jhn 17:15 I am not asking that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the evil one.
Jhn 17:16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
Jhn 17:17 Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.
Jhn 17:18 As You sent Me into the world, I have also sent them into the world.
Jhn 17:19 For them I sanctify Myself, so that they too may be sanctified by the truth.
Jhn 17:20 I am not asking on behalf of them alone, but also on behalf of those who will believe in Me through their message,
Jhn 17:21 that all of them may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I am in You. May they also be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.
Jhn 17:22 I have given them the glory You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one—
Jhn 17:23 I in them and You in Me—that they may be perfectly united, so that the world may know that You sent Me and have loved them just as You have loved Me.
Jhn 17:24 Father, I want those You have given Me to be with Me where I am, that they may see the glory You gave Me because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
Jhn 17:25 Righteous Father, although the world has not known You, I know You, and they know that You sent Me.
Jhn 17:26 And I have made Your name known to them and will continue to make it known, so that the love You have for Me may be in them, and I in them.”

I studied that part about God sending His Holy Spirit to believers? The Bible says He only sends Him to those who obey. So....that means not everyone has Him and explains why such people don't want or see that obedience to God is part of salvation or the current covenant.

🤔

Hey, not one other person is sinless and can be sinless, even Paul saw this, knew this and explained this to me in Phil 3. He gave up under Law to win Christ Also explained in Romans 7
He claimed in Phil 3, to all those that want to do it right under Law, himself more so.
I see from day one in the fall of the first Adam, all have gone down their own roads in error
God reaching out to all, with love and mercy. Which has ben shown in the first chosen, who started Excusing, accusing, abusing others and themselves, or got quite proud, as if better than others. I Have none other than Son with Father as Won. I am not perfect either. I know to depend on Father in risen Son to keep me in his love and mercy to all, taking no credit to myself ever, in doing anything righteous. Even though want to do it righteously, and under Law I ended up as all people seem to end up like as if a pharisee in Luke 18:9-14. read that who is justified?
Apparently you are in the energy of your own flesh trying to do right, and you know you can't as you know this truth behind closed doors, every time you do some sort of sin again and not feel good about it. That is good to be not liking to sin. I love that. You are ready to be trained, by God not self or anyone else, God teaches truth only.
Now see truth please between God and you. You need God. Time to turn to God and be 100% dependent on God's lead through you. That is what Jesus did, when here in the flesh, revealing to us all to be dependent on Father. Jesus, I do nothing or say nothing without Father's lead
Now see this is for us to be born new on the same love and mercy to all, not be tyrants or turn God into a tyrant as religions do and are wrong. Wanting to be in control, you know these by their fruits, selfishness

I never talk about sinless perfection. You guys just like to use that to falsely accuse and deflect from having to actually submit to God - that part of salvation that makes Jesus the Lord of a Christian's life, not just their Savior.

Making Jesus your Lord means you are no longer your own and obedience to Him becomes a part of your life with Him. We can't do this on our own, so God sends His Holy Spirit to be with us and help us to fulfill all that God wants of us and conform to Jesus Christ-likeness.

But lets get to the heart of what my previous post is about: God gives His Holy Spirit to those who obey Him. It comes from this verse:

Acts 5:32 We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”

I used to wonder why there are a lot of people who profess salvation in Christ but don't change and obey God, twisting His word to sound like people will be condemned for obeying Him. God gave me this verse. This explained and answered a lot of questions.

Consequently, that verse is followed be this verse:

Acts 5:33 When they heard this, they were furious and wanted to put them to death.

These who wanted to kill Peter were the Pharisees, the religious group! That's why people who encourage obedience to God get falsely accused and experience character assassination,

Since we can't fully obey God without the Holy Spirit, Peter earlier in the book of Acts talks about what obedience he was talking about:

Acts 2:38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

It isn't about the water baptism, but about the repentance and genuine willingness to obey God in carrying out this public declaration. This is God's criteria for giving His Holy Spirit to believers. And He can't be fooled. He knows who wants to genuinely obey Him - He also knows who are just giving Him lip service and won't obey Him.

The verse also says the the Holy Spirit is God's gift - very precious to Him. So He's not going to give Him to anyone who doesn't want to obey Him, who don't want Jesus to be their Lord.
