The difference between having faith in Jesus Christ, and having faith alone in Christ, is simple:

Faith in Jesus Christ is to only do good, and not any evil. We believe Jesus saves us from doing any evil, by giving us grace to only please the Father: By that good faith in Christ, we can walk as He walked.

Jhn 8:29
And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

Phl 4:13
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Faith alone in Christ, apart from works, is only faith that Christ is God. Being apart from our works, by definition it's not the faith in Christ that always does good.

Faith alone in Christ only agrees that Christ is God, apart from whether our deeds are good or evil. Whether we are pleasing or displeasing the Father in our deeds, we believe Christ is God, and so are saved and justified by our faith alone. We believe we are pleasing the Father by our faith alone, that that Christ is His Son.

Only having faith that Christ is God without doing good, does not please the Father, no more than the devils that also believe:

Jas 2:19
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Believing that Christ is God is certainly better than them that do not believe, and them that believe in another god, but having faith alone in Christ being God, does not justify any man or devil.

The only faith in Christ that saves, is the faith toward God that does good, and does no evil:

Psa 106:3
Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that is doing righteousness at all times.

1 John{2:29}
If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that is doing righteousness is born of him.

3 John{1:11}
Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that is doing good is of God: but he that is doing evil hath not seen God.

No man doing unrighteousness is justified by their faith alone in Christ, being by definition without doing good.

1Jo 3:18
My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

Therefore, are we loving and pleasing God by faith in Christ alone? Or, with deeds that love and please God?

Do we believe Jesus Christ is God? Good. Do we believe Christ saves us whether doing good or evil? The devils also believe.

Do we believe Jesus Christ delivers us from all evil, to only do good and please the Father as the Son? We have the faith in Christ that saves the soul from sinning, and justifies the righteous life with God.

Do we believe we can do righteousness at all times in Christ? We have good faith in Christ. Do we believe we cannot always do good, but will sin like all sinners? Out faith in Christ is not good.

If we do not believe in doing righteousness at all times and walk like Jesus walked, our faith alone that Christ is God, is no better than the unbelievers who also do not believe in always doing good and pleasing the Father like Jesus.

If we only believe that Christ is God, whether doing good or evil, then our agreement is by hearing only, not by doing the word of truth:

James{1:22}
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Having faith alone in Christ without also doing God, is no better than loving God with our ears and lips only:

1Jo 3:18
My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

Mat 7:21
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Not everyone believing Jesus is Lord is justified with Christ, if their faith is alone without works. The devils believe and confess Jesus is Lord:

Mar 5:7
And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.

Having faith in Christ as Lord alone, is not having no faith that Christ is God. It's having a faith in Christ, that all the devils believe, but without doing works of righteousness in His name.

Their faith is 'real' because they really believe and agree Christ is God, but their works do not agree He is Lord and Judge of all men by our works.

If we believe Jesus is both Christ and Lord, that judges all men equally by our works, then we must also believe Jesus Christ can save us to the uttermost from any evil doing, to always do His righteous will in this life. For once we die in this world, we are judged by our works today and tomorrow.

Have you read the Bible? Your statements suggest that someone who heard something about it told you a little of what he heard.

Faith in Jesus Christ is not "to only do good, and not any evil". That's insipid bafflegab. Faith in Jesus Christ is the certainty that, in myself, there is no good, that I deserve death and permanent separation from God for my sin, that Jesus, being God incarnate and utterly sinless, went to the cross in my place, died and was buried, and rose again. Because of that we have certainty that we will be raised and live forever with Him. Jesus doesn't save us "from doing any evil" (if only it were so easy!); He changes us from the inside out so that we are not inclined to do evil.

The debate about salvation arises mostly among the "get out of here to go to heaven" crowd.

The Bible actually describes the way God annexes the earth into His own kingdom: by the sending of His Own Son. Beyond all doubt, and against arguments to the contrary, the Son's rule is as indomitable as the lion's yet, is accomplished by the sacrifice of Himself as the lamb.

So this is NOT the Seven Mountain Mandate foolishness, whereby men subdue other men by aggression, by threat of violence, and by the consent of the majority. No, quite the opposite. The Son accomplishes His rule by appearing in others - in the love of the Father - as evidence that a Greater kingdom is at hand. The true violence of the Kingdom of the Son of His Love is the overthrowing of long-held terrestrial traditions empowered by the depraved minds of the demonic - traditions that keep men in darkness.

Men and women "saved" by the Lamb, from the kingdom of darkness and conveyed into the kingdom of the Son of His Love, become the light of the world to others still ensnared in the power of darkness.

"...giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins."

This is not a light separate from His light. No, the light we are given, in Him, is the same that accompanies Him. We have no light of our own. We are coheirs of the light that defines Christ Himself: the light of men.

So, the work (also called "grace") of God continues through those who are His Son. This is a continuation of the work the Son accomplished.

"Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God."

To be reconciled now, not later, so that the grace of the ministry of reconciliation may continue within saved men and women. His kingdom will increase until this is accomplished perfectly.

To not misunderstand, I see me to be a responder to God in his love and mercy to all given by Son first at that cross done willingly to save anyone in the resurrected Son. These will do Love and mercy willingly too, thank you Father for what you have done. to cause new in each that believe you thank you Father and Son as Won

Faith in Jesus Christ is not "to only do good, and not any evil".
Faith in Jesus Christ by Scriptures given, is to only do good, and not any evil. No one doing evil has any faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ has no evil doers in His righteous body.

As you confirm, it's only the Faith Alone in Christ apart from works, that is "not" to only do good, and not any evil.

Jesus doesn't save us "from doing any evil" (if only it were so easy!)

As you confirm most clearly, that it's only the Faith Alone in Christ apart from works, that does not save anyone from doing evil. That's too hard.

Pro 13:15
Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.

Jesus of the Scriptures does save us from doing any evil, and it's easy.

Mat 11:28
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

You still don't understand "faith alone", continue to misrepresent it and rail against your straw man.
If I do not understand "Faith Alone", and misrepresent it, then why do you agree with my representation of 'Faith Alone"? Do you also not understand your own Faith Alone and misrepresent it?

I show that Faith Alone in Christ apart from works, does not only do good, but also evil. And you agree, that your Faith alone is not to only do good, and no evil.

I also show that Faith Alone in Christ does not save any man from doing evil. And you also agree that your Faith Alone in Christ does not save you from doing any evil. You also add that not doing any evil, is too hard by your Faith Alone.

You are the straw man that represents Faith Alone all too well...

Your problem is trying to misrepresent your Faith Alone in Christ, that does both good and evil, as having faith in Jesus Christ, who only does good, and not any evil.

No man doing any evil on earth, has any faith in Jesus Christ the righteous. Jesus Christ has no evil doer in His own righteous body.

Only a lukewarm christ has believers doing both good and evil, for whom it is impossibly hard to only do good, and not any evil.

Rev 3:15
I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Twisting my words is bearing false witness.

Jesus of the Scriptures does save us from doing any evil, and it's easy.
Ultimately, yes. Temporally, no.

If I do not understand "Faith Alone", and misrepresent it, then why do you agree with my representation of 'Faith Alone"?
I don't, because you misunderstand what "faith alone" means, and misrepresent it consistently.

You are the straw man that represents Faith Alone all too well...
Clearly, you don't know what a "straw man" argument is. I suggest you look it up.

Your problem is trying to misrepresent your Faith Alone in Christ, that does both good and evil, as having faith in Jesus Christ, who only does good, and not any evil.
More foolish misrepresentation.

No man doing any evil on earth, has any faith in Jesus Christ the righteous. Jesus Christ has no evil doer in His own righteous body.
Then by your "reasoning", Peter, despite being a significant leader in the early Church, had no faith in Jesus Christ the righteous.

You are depending on yourself for salvation. That's not going to work. You do not know the difference between belief, as in intellectual acceptance of facts, and saving faith, which is trust and acceptance of God's work of salvation through Christ alone. Only those who are born again have the inner desire to please God. Those without Christ are intent on pleasing self. You can't do both.

Works are the result of saving faith. If you imagine that you or anyone else is perfect in obedience, you are deluded.

Here is the teaching of Faith Alone in Christ, that contradicts the teaching of Jesus Christ in Scripture:
Faith in Jesus Christ is not "to only do good, and not any evil". That's insipid bafflegab.

1. Faith Alone in Christ is not to only do good, but also to do evil. Always doing good is bafflegab.

2Co 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ,

2Pe 3:3
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

Psa 106:3
Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times.

1Jo 3:8
He that is committing evil is of the devil; for the devil is sinning from the beginning.

Jde 1:17
But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

Faith in Jesus Christ is the certainty that, in myself, there is no good, that I deserve death and permanent separation from God for my sin,

2. Faith alone in Christ is to have no good in the believer, and still deserve death and separation from God for evil doing.

1Ti 1:5
Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned; From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;

2Ti 2:22
Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

1 Peter{1:22}
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, [see that ye] love one another with a pure heart fervently:

Jesus doesn't save us "from doing any evil" (if only it were so easy!);

3. Having Faith Alone in Christ does not save anyone from doing any evil, because it's too hard.

Gen 18:14
Is any thing too hard for the LORD?

1 Thess{5:22}
Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

1 Peter {1:15}
But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

Jde 1:24
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

He changes us from the inside out so that we are not inclined to do evil.

4. Faith Alone in Christ is not inclined to do evil, when doing evil.

Heb 10:5
Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

Mat 7:21
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Jesus Christ and faith in Him does the will of God, not only inclined to by faith alone.

Num 32:13
And the LORD'S anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.

1Jo 3:10
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever is doing unrighteousness is not of God.

They who do evil and unrighteousness are of the devil and rejected of God. Whether intended or not.

that Jesus, being God incarnate and utterly sinless, went to the cross in my place, died and was buried, and rose again.

5. Faith Alone is only to believe Jesus Christ died for us, was buried, and rose again.

Jas 2:18
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

The devils also believe Jesus Christ died for sins, was buried, and rose again.

Because of that we have certainty that we will be raised and live forever with Him.

6. By Faith Alone in Christ, the body is raised unto life with God forever.

Them that have no good in them, and still do evil as the devils, and are deserving of death and separation from God, will certainly be raised unto life with God. Unlike the devils that also believe, but still deserve death and eternal separation from God.

Rom 2:3
And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?...For there is no respect of persons with God.

Gal 6:7
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man is sowing, that shall he also reap. For he that is sowing to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sowing to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting…For there is no respect of persons with God.

1 Peter {1:15}
And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

The debate about salvation arises mostly among the "get out of here to go to heaven" crowd.
Never heard of it. What does it mean?

The Bible actually describes the way God annexes the earth into His own kingdom: by the sending of His Own Son.

Unless you mean during His millennial kingdom reign, then I've never hear of this one either. At least not before He comes again to inherit and rule all nations.

So this is NOT the Seven Mountain Mandate foolishness, whereby men subdue other men by aggression, by threat of violence, and by the consent of the majority. No, quite the opposite.

If you mean the 'Church Militant' hostile proselytization, then I agree. But what does it have to do here? Maybe you can start another thread against it.

Men and women "saved" by the Lamb, from the kingdom of darkness and conveyed into the kingdom of the Son of His Love, become the light of the world to others still ensnared in the power of darkness.

Exactly true. Amen. The faith in Christ that saves, delivers us from all darkness of evil, only to walk in His light doing good, even as He:

1Jo 1:5
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

3 John{1:11}
Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that is doing good is of God: but he that is doing evil hath not seen God.

Exactly Again, and again Amen.

We are saved and made all new creatures now, with all things now being of God, and no more of the old sins and evil doing:

Rom 13:11
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

2Co 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ,

Anyone who waits until after the grave to be born again of God and do all things good, and not any evil, has waited too long to repent of their own evil doing in this life:

Acts 3:19
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

I see to be dependent on Father's lead in risen Son for me thnaks
Amen.

Responding good. Believing only not good.

1 John 3:17
But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

Heb 4:15-16 He knows our weakness!
Amen. Temptation is weakness.

Heb 2:17
Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

Doing evil is evil. Only doing good is good.

Here is the teaching of Faith Alone in Christ, that contradicts the teaching of Jesus Christ in Scripture:

2. Faith alone in Christ is to have no good in the believer, and still deserve death and separation from God for evil doing.

1Ti 1:5
Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned; From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;

2Ti 2:22
Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

1 Peter{1:22}
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, [see that ye] love one another with a pure heart fervently:

3. Having Faith Alone in Christ does not save anyone from doing any evil, because it's too hard.

Gen 18:14
Is any thing too hard for the LORD?

1 Thess{5:22}
Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

1 Peter {1:15}

Amen.

5. Faith Alone is only to believe Jesus Christ died for us, was buried, and rose again.

Jas 2:18
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

The devils also believe Jesus Christ died for sins, was buried, and rose again.

1 Peter {1:15}
And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
Yawn. Your post is a complete waste of time.

As you confirm, it's only the Faith Alone in Christ apart from works, that is "not" to only do good, and not any evil.

Jesus doesn't save us "from doing any evil" (if only it were so easy!)

Twisting my words is bearing false witness.

Not acknowledging one's own word repeated by others, is lying about one's own words.

Never heard of it. What does it mean?

Unless you mean during His millennial kingdom reign, then I've never hear of this one either. At least not before He comes again to inherit and rule all nations.

The first one is the group primarily concerned with going to heaven when we die. They say that is the reason for Christ's sacrifice. I have nothing against heaven, but He intends for His body to display His character in the earth as the Body is being gathered together.

Regarding annexing the earth into the Kingdom of heaven:

Paul wrote to the Ephesians:

"..that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, 9 and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ; 10 to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, 11 according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, 12 in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him."

This is because our fellowship is with Him.

Fellowship (Greek = koinonia) is typically a noun. Only once is it used as a verb and then only in a phrase.

The church often uses the word as a verb. “I will fellowship with him” or “Let’s get together and fellowship”.

Once, because he thought that it was the way to start meaningful speeches, a Vice President said to a room full of astronauts “My fellow astronauts…”. Dan Quayle was never an astronaut. On that quality, being an astronaut, he had no fellowship with his audience. People rightfully laughed at him.

Fellowship specifically denotes one’s shared origin or character with another.

So, it was a big deal when Paul revealed that “..truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.” Paul was not simply saying that we communicate with or have correspondence with God and Christ BUT that our origin and character are of the same nature as the Father and the Son: we share a nature with the living God.

When Paul rhetorically inquired about what fellowship a believer had with unbelievers and evil men, he was not asking about how we ministered to them or had a sandwich with them or how we worked with them. He was illuminating the fact that we do not share their character or origin. Their wisdom is not our wisdom. His admonishment was to remain unconnected to their ways and their traditions.

The Living God has no fellowship with evil and, truly, "our fellowship is with Him."

Ask a Christian “Tell me about communion” they would likely say “it’s when we eat bread and drink wine/grape juice” without any understanding of the meaning.

Paul plainly defined the spiritual reality of the cup and bread (by the way: his revelations on these matters are the “greater things” Jesus promised: that we would be given greater things then what He taught while on the earth… but that’s another topic.)

Paul wrote this:
“The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?”

So, clearly, we’re talking about the cup and the bread. The very next thing he wrote was this:

“For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.”

The one body IS Christ. The one bread IS Christ. This is our communion: that we are in and of Christ: the many-membered body with Him as our Head.

If it is true that we are in one body, who is Christ, then how does the Lord consider our propensity for divisions? How does He look upon our “Baptists” and “Pentecostal” and “Roman” and “Lutheran” and “Presbyterian” and “Mennonite” etc etc etc divisions? Might He consider our manner of dividing from one another “unworthy” when it comes to eating the bread and drinking the wine? If you see it, then there is no wonder why, in this day and age, the primary condition of the church is one of powerlessness. Instead, they are primarily concerned with getting to heaven when they die. A quick escape is the desire of a defeated opponent. The end result of this mind-set is powerlessness, corruption, and some going to the grave prematurely.

More teaching of Faith Alone in Christ, contrary to Scripture of Jesus Christ:

ATG said:
Jesus of the Scriptures does save us from doing any evil, and it's easy.

Ultimately, yes. Temporally, no.

7. By Faith Alone in Christ, only after the grave does anyone walk as Jesus walked.

2Co 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ,

Waiting until after the grave to be born again a whole new creature in Christ Jesus, with all things now being of God, and no more of the old evil doing, is to late to repent of doing evil for Jesus' sake:

1 Thess{5:22}
Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

1 Peter {1:15}

Amen.

1Jo 1:5
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

We must today in this life, either walk in the light as Jesus walks, without any darkness of evil doing, or we will never walk with Him in the light of God.

Heb 3:7
Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice. Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)

Rom 13:11
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

ATG,
I was sure that David was in Christ when he committed murder to obtain the wife of another.
No doubt by Faith Alone in Christ, but not by Christ Himself:

Psa 51:9
Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

No one doing evil is in Christ Jesus.

Job 10:14I
If I sin, then thou markest me, and thou wilt not acquit me from mine iniquity.

Nah 1:3
The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, but will not at all acquit the wicked:

David and Job had the same faith in Christ, that if they did evil, the LORD would not acquit them by their Faith Alone.

Any Faith Alone in Christ while doing even, is in another Christ that acquits their evil doing.

Mark 13:22
For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
