Then saying Jews are not a race is not antisemitic. But you did say, or imply, that it is in your definition above. See why I don't think your definition is very good?

 Well I guess you can hate your own race. What Jew is saying Jews are not a race of people? And yes, it's Antisemitic. rofl BTW that's also the official US Department of State saying that, not just the Holocaust Museum. I have yet to see a Jew deny their own race.

There is such a thing as intra-racism. It's going on all over the world even now. Hatred is a pandemic, and no one race is immune.
Was Romans 11 the topic? Look at vv. 30-32

30Just as you who formerly disobeyed God have now received mercy through their disobedience, 31so they too have now disobeyed, in order that they too may now receive mercy through the mercy shown to you.i 32For God has consigned everyone to disobedience so that He may have mercy on everyone.
*footnote
31 i Literally may now receive mercy through your mercy; BYZ and TR may receive mercy through your mercy

No one should forget that they no more deserved mercy than any others do. So, if we don't have any mercy for them, did we really receive any at all for ourselves.

Let's back up 10 verses...
22Take notice, therefore, of the kindness and severity of God: severity to those who fell, but kindness to you, if you continue in His kindness.

But I'm having a hard time seeing much kindness, just saying.

ChristRoseFromTheDead you have said that todays Israel did not come about by the hand of God.
May i ask why ?....and if you believe that the physical nation ever was suppose to come about?

The prophets foretold Israel's and Judah's regatherings after Israel's destruction in 722BC and after Jerusalem's exile in 586BC. That regathering began when a remnant returned from Babylon to rebuild Jerusalem and the temple, and was continued for centuries until Christ by a remnant of Israel that returned to the land out of all nations. The remnant of Israel and Judah that was born from above at Pentecost became the holy nation ruled by God that God said he wanted Israel to be in Exodus 19:6. Peter confirms the fulfillment of this holy nation in 1 Peter 2:9.

An earthly nation ruled by men was never God's will for Israel (1 Samuel 8:7). Since the priestly, holy nation that he wanted from the beginning has come into being in Christ, it's not realistic or sensible to think that God would want to restore an earthly nation ruled by men that he never wanted in the first place.

Since the holy nation born from above and ruled by God is the fulfillment of Israel's and Judah's restoration prophecies, there is no reason or warrant for a future fulfillment. By rejecting Christ and losing the land, Judaism put itself in the position of needing a future fulfillment of those prophecies. That is the horse you've hitched your wagon to.

How is it kindness when dispensationalists want all Jews to return to Israel believing that 2/3s of them will be killed?

I don't know how anyone else might interpret prophecy, but this seems a question that, if they do believe it to be an accurately interpreted prophecy, they would be kinder to attempt to change it? Idk, I said that I don't seeing much kindness, at all. I mean, is this going toward an argument about who's the unkindest?
I'd rather just be like, "Oh look! Kindness! and be amazed.

Do you perceive me to be showing unkindness?

I can tell that you do not kindly appreciate some opinion as much as I might others, although I'd rather the kindness be of an indiscriminate sort. However, I realize the difficulty in achieving that level of demeanor, going solely on my own personal experience. Nonetheless, I'm still hopeful.

You aren't finding kindness because this isn't just a theology question like OSAS, and those threads get pretty nasty. But this is about a race of people and a country God chose and jealousy of people who can't understand God choosing a nation and a people for His purposes. The hatred of Jews goes very deep. To say that I want to see Jews killed is a ridiculous comment. I have stood with Israel and the Jewish people for years and I will continue to do so. If you read this thread from the beginning you would understand why we are in this mess now. Many times things have said that I have corrected time and time and time again that I don't believe. And a few pages later, they say it again. Patience wears thin after a while, not to mention all the disgusting things that have been said to me in this thread and others. All this because I say that the Bible says to bless the Jews and I believe God gave the land to Israel and they have a right to their homeland. I have been told I support homosexuality, pedophilia, genocide, idol worship, and more, that I am Biblically illiterate, that I'm not intelligent enough to know what the Bible says and just parrot what others say. Those are the nice things that have been said. All because I believe the Bible and what it says. So, no, you won't find kindness here.

How is it hatred to not believe what you believe? Do you consider people who disagree with you on other topics haters?

My intention was to reference Romans 11:22's admonition to take note of the severity of God as much as His kindness. If I dismiss it as not applicable to me, while enjoying full advantage of His kindness, I have to dismiss this admonition all together since it is addressed to my religious 'race.'

Israel may have been cut off, but there was a purpose in it, its result is my redemption, and that with explicit emphasis that Israel is not necessarily 'cast off' as irredeemable, regardless of any opinion to the contrary.

I believe that and so find it counterproductive to even try to change anyone's opinion as it only offers more opportunity to defend otherwise given no audience other than within a like-minded support group.

But then, I've come to terms that this is the general format of a majority of public chat forums and the threads running through them, I guess, they inherently invite unkindness, but all the introductory thread express hopes of and interests in fellowship.

Anyway. God works all things for good, even a cutting off.

yes remember the story about the fig tree. God can graft them back in and prune you off. This was Jesus who said it.

We agree on that point.

There's several die hards here that wouldn't change their opinion on this if God personally told them the difference. But my issue is that Antisemitism is quickly rising around the world, and it has here at CC. I believe it's something worth standing against. You don't see me in the BDF often. I don't discuss Calvinism, I don't discuss the trinity to any extent, I simply don't argue theology, unless there is reason. After Oct 7 I saw it was a reason to speak up again against Antisemitism.

I haven't been on other sites like this. I don't know how strict they are. I appreciate the freedom here. But I know with so many people it can be difficult for mods to keep up. I've been here a long time and I may have blocked one or two people and then they were banned. But it seems the need is getting stronger here recently. I used to be able to come to a detente with most people no matter how we disagreed. No so anymore. Pity.
