Korah? going by "the core"

or

I looked up cruelest man in the bible and found another 'ear tingling' verse, 2Kings 2:12
King Manasseh?

Here is the next one:

In God’s original plan I would not have existed
But I was born because my father resisted
I was cruel, far worse than those before
Until God Himself humbled me to the core

Nebuchadnezzar?

I don't know much about his father/birth situation but I know he was humbled by the period of insanity wherein he dwelled in the wilderness 🤔.

Yes, it is king Manasseh! Congratulations!

Manasseh was the son of Hezekiah. God had told Hezekiah that he was going to die, but he did not accept God's decision. He pleaded and God gave him 15 years more to live. During those extra years Manasseh was born, and he became to most evil king they had in Judah. Blood was flooding in Jerusalem.

But Jerusalem was invaded and Manasseh was taken, and there in the captivity he was humbled and turned to God.

To me this story shows how important it is to always ask for the will of God when we pray about something.

Thank you for the lesson, as I admit I cheated in looking that up! Otherwise, I was clueless (other than the clues you provided of course). ;)

Here's mine.

I am more desirable than silver and gold
And Joseph found me when he was sold
In God's eyes also I may be found
As Esther had done in those all around

Alrighty.... I'm sick and kinda fuzzy-brained right now so anyone who wants my turn can take it.

Otherwise I'll probly post one tomorrow.

Totally understandable. Trying to create a puzzle is just as draining as trying to solve it! Be well and rest up for the task.

My leaves did not to hide the fruit
When their own horn man first did toot

Once Lord did see I did not bear
He judged a curse on me as fair

What am I?

Olive tree
Right! :D Olive Tree is the password. ... no, wait... Olive tree is not the password  Sorry

Darn it, I thought surely, the first guess would be right... And it looked a lot like the right password, at first glance:whistle:

Olive tree is not the password?

Then I was going to say fig tree or Israel from the 1 Kings 17 (Luke 13:6–9) story, though I thought olive tree was the better answer from Jeremiah 11:16.

Yes, fig tree fits here as its leaves were used in an attempt to hide Adam and Eve's 'fruit' after they tooted their own 'horn' (which, biblically, signifies...is it authority or power?).
