While in this life we have a responsibility to love our neighbors and speak up for those who can't defend themselves such as the unborn. I speak out with my voice, my vote, and my prayers. I vote against the pro-abortion agenda so the unborn can live. I vote for those who will uphold law and order so my neighbors will not be beaten and murdered. I vote to protect freedoms and vote against oppression. To vote correctly, I need to educate myself on current events and candidates. This is not sinful, as you suggest.

And defend the rights of the poor and needy.

Politics and governmental authority are a reality that affects every single one of us as well as our neighbors. Politics can allow a way for citizens to be heard and change the course of a country. I can't claim to love my neighbor if I don't get involved and do everything in my power to help them.

A few reminders that it's God Himself who established government and authority -

1 Pet 2:13 Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority, 14 or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right. 15 For such is the will of God, that by doing right you silence the ignorance of foolish people. 16 Act as free people, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bond-servants of God. 17 Honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king.

Rom 13:1 Every person is to be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves.

The U.S. and other countries have established elections. It is a legal and God-given right to participate and allow our voices to be heard.

When I was younger I didn't really follow politics. To me I thought why bother because I cant do much about it anyway. My father told me once that if you notice people only do things they believe pertains to their lives and don't really realize they do it. The examples he gave me were that girls when they are young collect things in a hope chest because when they get older they see getting married a reality so they collect those things for it. To them they look at a maternity magazine completely different than a man does because in their life having a baby is a very real possibility. Boys though play with army men and action figures and do things like that because in their life depending on certain political circumstances the government might mail them a draft notice and dress us up in one of those green suits. It might be because some other politician in another nation might attack where our family lives or one of our own politicians thinks he needs to send us to another nation. It's always in the back of our minds the things we see as a possibility of happening in our lives and how it may effect us. I thought playing with army men was fun when I was a little boy but by the time I was older and a draft card came for my older brother to go to Vietnam is when it really sank in that it wasn't really a game but instead a reality in a boys life. I never thought it was fun after that again and that's when it sank in that it could very well be my reality one day. Politics and the news took on a whole new meaning when I realized that it was a real possibility in my life. I realized then that I needed to watch the news and keep track of which politicians were being put in those positions where they could effect me and my family. Your right though it's not fun at all in fact it's an outright burden to have to keep track of all these politicians and watch out for just in case one ends up in power that might be not so mentally stable.

With things like NATO the smallest of things can make a big difference. Things like if one of those NATO nations have been bled so dry financially that they have pot holes in all their roads, well supply trucks and other vehicles don't roll over rundown infrastructure very well. It all works together in defense of a nation even if it is how one NATO nation is going to get supplies and all the other equipment from where it was made to the ports to be shipped to another NATO nation. Start with the pot holes and work your way up.

New Mexico sounds good to me send him there as soon as possible. I'm not sure about Houston or Galveston anymore I haven't traveled there since a little after Ike hit but they say it's bad. I guess it's not there anymore but back then there was a Hamilton class moored by the ferry landing. Long time back I guess.

Dont act like my kin in Louisiana when somebody is not speaking their native language. She used to be sitting in her front porch swing, quite annoyed by French tourists trying to strike up a conversation with her, in French, I have to add, and then be cursing them out of her premises (and most likely out of the state as well while she was at it) for not speaking proper French! In her own mind real French was the language developed by the Cajuns who inhabited the swamplands in Louisiana over the centuries and not that thing they spoke over in France.😂😂😂

Yes, that’s true. The supply lines are critical. We have made our own mistakes in that regard. Also the extreme weather conditions in, say, Scandinavia. I have been up there for arctic training, and boy is that h*** on earth. The cold, the winds, the snow, the darkness and those local soldiers acting like they’re on the beach while us others can’t find a way to decide whether to soldier on or just drop dead in the snow. It’s like being slowly torn apart by the wind and the cold and you can never rest. The enemy is everywhere and nowhere and you never get to actually see them before it’s too late.

It makes sense to me to train in the Baltic region. The Dnieper river begins at Crimea/Ukraine and divides the contested regions where Putin is trying so hard to control it's southern point. The planned E40 then goes up to Kyiv and then Belarus, connects to the Bug river and up through Poland and into the Baltic. The supply route leads right to where you trained. Putin's trying to control one end and NATO the other. A DDG is to large the way the E40 is planned but smaller vessels like a frigate maybe so probably just cargo/supplies ect.. I think Trump will make an offer they can't refuse. No one with a brain wants China/Russia coming down through Canada. Lord knows Canada can't stop them.
