No really you seem worried about the strengths of NATO. Norway has 14 vessels they can bring to NATO's defense and only 70,000 military personal. With such a tiny military I can understand why you would be concerned about solicitation of outside help with Norway's defense. So are you in the Navy or the Army which branch of Norway s military are you in?

I am just a normal human being living in Norway, and worried about the world situation. I am not alone about that.

Might it be possible to get this discussion into a christian perspective, since this is a christian site ?

First of all: I am from North Europe. Specifically from Norway.

Now; what we see from the news here is that Mr Trump wants Greenland. Are you in doubt of that?
Just listen to what Mr Trump says, he said : "We need Greenland !"

He has repeated this over and over. Now, Greenland is not part of US. It's a part of the kingdom of Denmark.
Much like Alaska is a part of US. Understand?

So, if Greenland is of Denmark, but Mr Trump wants it, how can he accomplish that? Through violence?
This is just an (another) example of how Mr Trump acts, and I have to ask you:

Are his intentions and acts in accordance with christian thinking and behaviour? And of course this is not limited to Mr Trump alone, we have to include his friends in his administration, like Mr Vance. Isn't he a catholic? How can one support these intentions in accordance with catholic ethics and thinking?

I just have to ask you.

The U.S. elected a president, not a pastor, and one who will negotiate and protect U.S. interests for U.S. citizens. If Denmark is agreeable to a deal, I have no issues with that and neither should anyone else. Beyond that, it's all speculation and assumptions at this point.

Trump summarized this during the speech when he pulled out of the Paris Climate Accord.

I don't even know why I bother talking about politics at all , it doesn't really interest me except when a world leader starts to do some very provocative things , then I get interested because I c them and their behaviour as a sign of the times . I have to b honest , I'm very surprised by how so many people ( specifically Christians ) r so mixed up in politics and get so involved with it . It's probably the most worldly thing any of us can get interested in . We r not supposed to b so invested in the things of this life , we really aren't . It genuinely worries me when I c Christians getting so entangled in these worldly matters . Now I know that u , and I'm guessing that most of the people on here , have read the Bible thoroughly . Remind yourself , what is the end of all things ? What happens to this earth and it's kingdoms ? Who is your King , your leader ? To whom do u belong ?
U don't belong to yourself , or your parents , or your children or your siblings . U don't belong to your community , your place of employment , your neighbourhood or your school or your college or your football team or your friends . U don't belong to your country or its leader , whoever that may b . U BELONG ONLY TO YOUR GOD AND TO YOUR SAVIOUR . At the end of your physical life , there will just b u and Him and u will face Him , on your own . Nobody else will b with u .
