what work did JESUS OF NAZARETH finish and rest from, in John 19:30?
It is finished(John 19:30)
It is finished(John 19:30)
It is finished(John 19:30)
What about the 1st? Exo 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.Nothing in the ten commandments talks about Jesus.
What about the 1st? Exo 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
And the 2nd?
Exo 20:4-6 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
The 3rd? .. verse 7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
and the 4th ? ... verse 8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Jesus is the LORD, the Creator of the heavens and Earth. Col 1:15-17.
After the transgression of Adam, all communication between heaven and earth came through Christ. He is the mediator between heaven and Earth.
Jesus is the Lord so the 10 commandments do talk about Jesus.
His law they regard as a restriction upon men’s happiness, a burdensome yoke from which they are glad to escape
The 4th commandment is about the sabbath.. the sabbath is about remembering the creator and the Lord.Nothing in the ten commandments talks about Jesus.
Again you mix up the law of ordinances and the law of liberty.Sounds like Peter was glad to be living under grace instead of the law.
Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke [of the law] upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they. Acts 15:10-11
If want to live without God's loving laws, You can. Be lawlessSounds like Peter was glad to be living under grace instead of the law.

The bible states that Moses law was a burden..
Paul delights in the law but Peter calls it a burden. Maybe!! ?? They are different laws
Psa 119:174 I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD; and thy law is my delight.
Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
You did not say the Gospel you said Christ. So my answer showed how Christ was talked about not the gospel. What has that got to do with the question
If want to live without God's loving laws, You can. Be lawless
Do you acknowledge that the law was changed, as Scripture states? The 4th commandment is about the sabbath.. the sabbath is about remembering the creator and the Lord.
So Jesus is talked about in the 10 commanents.
I totally agree.. so if you obey the law it is not an issue.. the law does not condemn you or show your guilt. The law is good ... if you use it lawfully. The law is not made for righteous people
Now the end of the commandment is love out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of unhypocritical faith: From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain talk; Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm. But we know that the law is good if a man use it lawfully; Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; 1 Timothy 1:5-10

It is there to show us when we are sinners.
Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
But you said, Peter said the law was a yoke...Being subject to Christ's law is not lawless
And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; To them that are lawless, as lawless, (not being lawless to God, but in law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law. 1 Corinthians 9:20-21
But you said, Peter said the law was a yoke...
Why are you under the yoke of Christ's law? And say I should not keep God's law.
