It's rare to see this level of logic in these discussions

Let's see. You have been here aboout one month and in that very short time have become an expert on this forum. That, is not rare either. Lots of opinionated self agrandizing people do join because no one will listen to them outside of this space. Don't counter with that applies to me, because it assuredly does not.

No. However you did prove you entertain yourself with thoughts of being superior. Again, you don't answer to me. You do, however, answer to the One who has the authority to ask why you choose to go your own way and count your own efforts as the finishing touch to Jesus true works, in which He said: IT IS FINISHED.

How old are you? A person who seeks simply to prove others wrong without offering the reasons for it, cannot be very mature.

Go back and read about 100 pages of posts by myself and others wherein we have written reams of scripture to illustrate the error(s) concerning presenting the commandments as the covenant. If you can't be bothered, then you cannot be taken seriously. And yes your view is un-biblical which means not correct where it concerns truth from scripture.

Anyway, thats enough for a staunch keyboard warrior like yourself.

You're very angry friend. I'm not superior to anyone I just don't roll over for your sanctimonious attitude. I'm not here to prove you wrong I'm waiting not you to prove me wrong. So far all you done is make nonsnecisal claims like my view is unbiblical even though I directly quote scripture.

Abandon the topic and attack the poster. Common tactic of those unprepared to be confronted

No you did not. I got you again.

We will continue to expose heretics of darkness.

We continue to prevail. Thank you Lord Jesus Christ.

You didn't answer my question because your life-long goal is to make sure you are unelected.

I Can you imagine your reaction come judgment day? When it comes to James , will you try to claim you were always illiterate?
JAMES MEANS WHAT JAMES SAYS!

Just a smattering of the deep logic and biblical literacy presented by someone who appears to be adverse to any all scripture presented to illustrate the deceptive presentation of the commandments as the covenant. Plenty more of these zingers to come
I am sure.

Faith without works is dead.

DEAD MEANS DEAD!
In regard to "faith without works is dead," (James 2:20) James does not mean that faith is dead until it produces works and then it becomes a living faith or that works are the source of life in faith or that we are saved by works. That would be like saying that a tree is dead until it produces fruit and then it becomes a living tree, and the fruit is the source of life in the tree.

James is simply saying faith that is not accompanied by evidential works demonstrates that it's dead. If someone merely says-claims they have faith, but lack resulting evidential works, then they demonstrate that they have an empty profession of faith/dead faith and not authentic faith. (James 2:14) Simple!

It is through faith "in Jesus Christ alone" (and not based on the merits of our works) that we are justified on account of Christ (Romans 4:5-6; 5:1; 5:9); yet the faith that justifies does not remain alone (unfruitful, barren) if it is genuine. (James 2:14-24) *Perfect Harmony* ✝️

I do believe we are witnessing a problem with cognitive dissonance. Following, a little something from Wiki regarding same:

exists without outward sign, but surfaces through psychological stress when psychological discomfort is created due to persons participating in an action that creates conflicting beliefs, attitudes, or behaviors, or when new information challenges existing beliefs.

shrugs. sounds right :unsure::whistle:

I.like how you pressure that doesn't apply to you. Lol

Faith is completed by works.
If faith alone was sufficient it wouldnt need completion
If faith alone isn't sufficient then sola fide is a false doctrine
Just admit that you teach salvation by faith AND WORKS. Are you a Roman Catholic? That would explain a lot.

Now in James 2:21, notice closely that James does not say that Abraham's work of offering up Isaac resulted in God accounting Abraham as righteous. The accounting of Abraham's faith as righteousness was made in Genesis 15:6, (also see Romans 4:2-3) many years before his work of offering up Isaac recorded in Genesis 22.

The work of Abraham did not have some kind of intrinsic merit to account him as righteous, but it showed or manifested the genuineness of his faith. (James 2:18) That is the "sense" in which Abraham was "justified by works." (James 2:21) He was shown to be righteous.

In James 2:22, faith made perfect or complete by works means bring to maturity, to complete like love in 1 John 4:18. It does not mean that Abraham was finally saved based on merits of his works after he offered up Isaac on the altar in Genesis 22.

When Abraham performed the good work in Genesis 22; he fulfilled the expectations created by the pronouncement of his faith in Genesis 15:6. :)

Let's not play games with life altering truths. Myself and a good many others in this forum have responded to you with that very information you pretend you seek.

Don't quote Jesus when you refuse to acknowledge his words at the Last Supper as the actual covenant we have for forgiveness of sins through His blood and the love of God in sending Him to die in our place.

You are anti-Paul which explains why you present an alernate view of scripture.
More lies on your part.

I'll type slowly for ....if faith alone was sufficient for salvation why would it need completion? Answer the question dont give me more of your nonsensical ranting

I already explained this in post #130.

Had Abraham not done the work would be have been saved?
If Abraham would have refused to offer up Isaac on the altar, then he would have demonstrated a lack of faith, but of course, that was not the case.

Then by your own words faith alone is not sufficient for salvation. If it was he would not have had to offer up Isaac. The fact that did doesn't change what would have happened if he didnt. The work of offering up his son completed his faith just like James said.

Right faith completed by works.
