God knows what He commands better than any man. To say the Ten Commandments are “not very practical” is to forget who gave them. God does not give incomplete or flawed instruction.
The Ten Commandments were never meant to be a long list covering every single action. Jesus Himself explained this. He did not replace the commandments, He summarized them.
Matthew 22:37–40 (KJV)
“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”
“All the law” hangs on these two. That means the Ten Commandments are contained within them, not removed by them.
For example:
  • If you love your neighbor, you will not murder, steal, lie, or covet.
  • If you love God, you will not worship idols, misuse His name, or despise His holy time.
Partiality is not named word for word in the Ten Commandments, but it is clearly covered. Showing partiality is a form of coveting, dishonesty, and lack of love for neighbor. God did not need to list every sin by name, because His law reaches the heart.
Scripture is clear that God’s law is perfect, not lacking.
Psalm 19:7 (KJV)
“The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul.”
Deuteronomy 4:2 (KJV)
“Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it.”
Jesus did not say, “Follow Me instead of the commandments.” He said:
John 14:15 (KJV)
“If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
And He showed that sin begins inside, not only in actions.
Matthew 5:21–22, 27–28 (KJV)
Jesus shows that anger relates to murder, and lust to adultery. He is deepening, Magnifying the commandments, not dismissing them.
So yes, following Christ fulfills the righteousness of the law, but fulfillment does not mean cancellation. It means living them from the heart, exactly as God promised.
The Ten Commandments are not incomplete.
They are holy, spiritual, and perfect.
Christ did not remove them. He wrote them on the heart of his believers.

I never said God removed the 10. The rest of your comment proved my point that the 10 are not sufficient by themselves because they demand , but don't teach how.

God said not to eat pigs and if you study the toxic make up of pigs flesh I can understand why God said pigs are unhealthy to eat. Did the DNA of pigs change over time and the unhealthy toxins become healthy for us when Jesus died on the cross?
Yes it has changed, significantly.
I will not eat pig flesh because the God of all wisdom said not to. God knows what is best for us.
And yet, God said that we can now.

“Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.” The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.” - Acts 10:14-15 NIV

As you said, God knows what's best for us. Pass the bacon please!

It's like whole passages of the Bible are hidden from them.

Makes this apparent in our presence: "For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. 15But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart."

Sabbath-keepers do not know the Lord. If they did, then they would see clearly. Just as it is written in the next sentence:
"Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty."

They don't want liberty, because it takes away their ability to judge others.

nightnight if you will read, the animals that God made clean were not let loose on earth , God took them back to heaven'

Sorry, cows have 4 stomachs 24 hours to digest, pigs one and its meat in four and I have watched them eat poop and dead animals including rats

For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Hebrews 8:7

First, the verse says in the NKJV:

“For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second.”
Hebrews 8:7
Many people read this and quickly say, “See, the law was faulty.”
But the very next verse that was omitted ans is important for the proper context for understandingshows what the problem really was.
“Because finding fault with them, He says: ‘Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant…’”
Hebrews 8:8
Notice carefully:
God did not find fault with His commandments.
He found fault with the people.

This is confirmed by the prophecy Hebrews is quoting, which comes from Jeremiah 31, written long before Jesus.
“My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD.”
Jeremiah 31:32 NKJV
The problem was never that God’s law was bad.
The problem was that Israel did not keep it.

God then explains what the new covenant is really about:
“I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts.”
Jeremiah 31:33 NKJV
(quoted again in Hebrews 8:10)
If the law were removed, there would be nothing to write on the heart.
The law stays.
What changes is where it is written.
Jesus Himself confirms this very clearly:
“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.”
Matthew 5:17 NKJV
And He explains why people fail:
“This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.”
Matthew 15:8 NKJV
So what is Hebrews 8 talking about?

It is not saying the Ten Commandments failed.
It is not saying God’s law was wrong.
It is not abolishing the covenant of obedience.

It is saying this:

The old covenant failed because it depended on sinful people keeping the law with hard hearts.
The new covenant fixes that problem by changing the heart, not the law.

That is why God says:
“I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”
Jeremiah 31:34 NKJV
Forgiveness plus a changed heart leads to true obedience, which is exactly what Jesus taught:
“If you love Me, keep My commandments.”
John 14:15 NKJV
So Hebrews 8:7 is not about removing God’s commandments.
It is about restoring obedience through a better covenant, built on forgiveness, a new heart, and faithfulness to God’s law.

You will only see what is pleasing to your flesh.

The sheet that was shown to Peter was a parable, and it was symbolic of the Gentiles and Jews. The people that God had made clean. 90 % of people that study this subject in context come to the conclusion that it was a symbolic way of helping Peter understand that Gentiles were made clean to witness to.

But if you desire to eat pigs flesh then go ahead.

Among all animal meats pork is the filthiest diet to consume by human beings. Pig is the cradle of harmful germs. Scientific evidences prove that pig meat is least healthy having different harmful agents like Cholesterol and Fatty Acids, Bacteria and Toxins and a number of parasites. The pig meat is high in fat and cholesterol that causes the cardiovascular diseases, obesity, the incidence of large intestine cancer. Bacteria and Toxins associated with pigs spread many diseases like salmonellosis, which leads to the acute gastroenteritis and diarrhea. Many other diseases like, Tuberculosis, Yersiniosis, Listeriosis, Leptospirosis, Brucellosis, Small Pox, Influenza, Anthrax, Balantidial dysentery, Foot rot, Cholera and Erysipeloid are attributed to pork consumption. Parasitic Diseases Ascaris, Ancylostomiasis, Toxoplasmosis, Trichinellosis, Cysticercosis showing signs of mental disorders, pneumonia, bleeding of the lungs (haemoptysis), which may lead to death or madness. The patient may become blind and deaf. Nitrates used in pork and pork products as additives are converted into nitrosamines which cause hepatic cell tumors. Flesh of the pork is hard to digest and may lead to chronic digestive disturbances. Pimples, boils, cysts are common in pork eaters. The pig excretory system secretes 2 percent of its uric acid that is injurious for the human health. Pork consumption seriously affects human health and adversely injurious one’s moral values.

I believe you're reading that wrong. IMO he's not saying he found fault with them, but that he was saying to them that he would bring a new covenant. There is no "with them" in the Greek, but rather "to them". In verse 7 it clearly says that the 1st covenant was not found to be blameless. Then in verse 8, he says but blaming (it), he said to them ...

Yes liberty
Psa 40:8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

The wonderful liberty that comes from being free from sin.

Jas 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
Jas 2:12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

Maybe you need to have the veil lifted.

You can not judge me and say that I do not know Jesus when I delight in the law of liberty. Paul delighted in this law too. Does that mean Paul did not know Jesus.

You just have to cook it well and eat it in moderation. A lot of good food one can make with it: bacon, pulled pork, barbecue spare ribs - the whole south would not survive without it!! Not to mention all the other yummy meals that the rest of the world makes from it!

Better covenant means that the first wasn't as good. That's all I'm saying. The 10 commandments demand righteousness, but they don't teach how to do it. Christ's laws do.

The 10 commandments aren't very practical for living a righteous life. Partiality is a very common sin among mankind, but it is not listed in the 10. Nor are many other commandments that Jesus declared and expects us to follow. The 10 are useful for instruction in righteousness, but not for walking in Christ's righteousness. Following Christ fulfills the righteousness required by the 10. For example, if you don't hate, you don't murder
Following Jesus is the key and the principles are all based in love..

The Spirit of God in us replicates the principles of love that Jesus lived and Jesus kept all 10 of the commandments.

With Jesus as our example do believe that we can should follow all 10?

Sorry you don't like scripture.

yes Christ explained how to and promised to send The Helper is exactly why the covenant is better. Jesus said the Father would send the Helper to stay with believers and teach them, reminding them of everything He taught. The Spirit was not sent to replace God’s commandments, but to help us live them. The law shows what is right, Christ forgives and heals the heart, and the Helper gives us strength to walk in obedience. we cannot do it alone in this corrupt world. That is why Jesus said, “If you love Me, keep My commandments” (John 14:15 NKJV). The new covenant is better because God now works inside us.

You can do what you please.
It is proven that vegetarians live longer and have healthier bodies and lives.

I'm not saying you have to change in any way. But I desire to have a healthy body so I can glorify and serve my Lord.

1Co 6:19-20
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Knowing how toxic pig flesh is..
They don't urinate much uric acid, they reabsorb it into the flesh, so your eating pig urine.... I choose to avoid it.
