We have been told repeatedly in the word of God that we must discern the spirit, we must know the truth, the church is the pillar and base of the truth. Iron sharpens iron. Sometimes the disagreements are not trolls, they are those who are making valid points concerning something you spoke and by taking it to heart you will be sharpened. Other times it is trolls and we that is also a blessing. The Lord said that we are blessed when they persecute us because that is how they persecuted the prophets before us. We have also been told repeatedly that there are false prophets, false teachers and Satan like a roaring lion is wandering about to see who he may devour. Satan is not permitted to devour someone who is abiding in Jesus Christ. So that also is a blessing. If you come under an attack by Satan it is evidence that you are not abiding in Christ.

set any dates recently or post any videos that were ultimately bogus or just been wrong about something? we're all doing our best, but...

the more time in Christ in Spirit the more I yearn to be done with all of this and face-to-face with The Truth.

I post what other people say because it is essential to know what others are saying and not to be arrogant.

In many cases I am not quick to judge, the New Testament also says "time will tell". What many people think are "false prophets" is simply their ignorance in not understanding what a false prophet is.

If someone leads you away from worshipping that Jesus Christ is the Lord, then by all means you can discern that immediately.

If someone says such and such will happen on this date and it doesn't happen then the Bible says you need not fear them. They aren't necessarily a false prophet, could simply be an immature believer. Peter says that false prophets try to make merchandise of you. Yes, some of these threads are monetized and some even sell merchandise. That is not prohibited in the New Testament (you shall not muzzle the ox that treads the corn) but I will see that as a red flag. I avoid these ones for the most part.

There have been very, very few of those that I have posted that said something would happen on a certain date, but in the two cases that come readily to mind you can see I no longer post anything from them. I don't call them false prophets, that is for the Lord to decide and I do not know enough about their ministry to have seen anything that would lead people away from the worship of the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord of all.

However, there are others who have been examining various holy convocations in the Bible to see how it aligns with the New Testament teaching on the rapture. They are very clear that they are not prophesying, so anyone who wants to complain about them being false prophets are clearly twisting and distorting what they said. Now if someone is not honest, like those that twist the words of others, then I ignore them completely. The New Testament tells us to have nothing to do with them. For example many called Dana Coverstone a false prophet, I don't post anything they have done because I consider them to be twisting his words and to not be honest.

My blog on the rapture has made it very clear that my goal is to examine the scriptures concerning this doctrine because I find the teaching in Christianity on this woefully inadequate. For most it is a doctrine they are afraid to touch. My blog is public because someone else might be interested in this study. So someone who comes to that blog to tell me to stop that research is also someone I completely ignore. The New Testament says that we are to be servants of the Lord Jesus and answer to Him alone. These people trying to tell me what to do are usurping the Lordship of Jesus Christ and they will be judged for that.

Didn't you say it's essential to discern the spirits?
Yes. No one says Jesus Christ is Lord but by the Holy Spirit. Did any of the links I posted deny that Jesus Christ is Lord? Did any deny that Jesus Christ came in the flesh?

If they confess that Jesus Christ was incarnated, lived a human life, was crucified for the redemption of mankind, poured out His blood, was died, buried, and in the grave for three days and then rose again and is now sitting on the throne in heaven then you have discerned the spirit.

No demon and no fallen angel can say that.

Moving goal posts.

Your first reference to discerning spirits was broad, and that’s the sense in which I responded - by asking how discernment is applied to the sources and timeframes you post.

The discerning of spirits is from the Bible, therefore you should understand what the Bible says about it. There was no moving of goal posts.

Why not.God is greater than a chip embedded in your hand or arm.

Romans 5:20 KJV
Where sin doth abound, grace doth much more abound.

6:1What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

A lot of people died early by making such a choice. I know of someone who was infected by their wife who chose to go behind his back and get the shot.

There are a lot of people who are not worthy of trust.
The governments, both federal and states pushed injections with these deadly substances. The corps made money pushing their drugs too.
We need to not only warn children of stranger danger, but grandparents too. MDs are strangers as are the Mass of organizations pushing drugs.

Blessings

The context of what you said is clear. Change you did.
Here is the context

We have been told repeatedly in the word of God that we must discern the spirit, we must know the truth, the church is the pillar and base of the truth. Iron sharpens iron. Sometimes the disagreements are not trolls, they are those who are making valid points concerning something you spoke and by taking it to heart you will be sharpened.

The context is clearly what the word of God says. There are things that people will say that you can immediately discern that it is to be rejected. If they refuse to confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, come in the flesh, resurrected from the dead, sitting at the right hand of God. However, if that is not the case you don't simply reject something because it is different from what you were taught. The Bereans searched the scripture to see if these things were so. If you don't have this attitude you will wind up in an echo chamber. I have said repeatedly in the blog "I am not the arbiter of truth". My standard is not whether or not I was taught this. My criteria is simple:

1. Is this a Biblically based teaching? If I can see that this is a teaching that comes directly from the word of God, whether or not I agree, then it passes this first test.

2. Is it relevant to the rapture. The rapture is a very big topic, so it may not be immediately apparent to others that this relevant. If it is relevant then it passes the second test.

and

3. Is it adding something to my blog. I could easily find a hundred videos that are redundant and add nothing. The post could have checked off 1 and 2 but the material covered has already been covered in the blog.

Those are my criteria. I post links from people who I differ with in many issues, but honest debate allows both sides to speak and be heard. As long as the word of God is being spoken in every single post that I put up on my blog, then I am happy. Sometimes it may not be fully apparent to others that the word of God is being spoken. For example I posted a lot of links to people with dreams and visions. I did that because it is a fulfillment of prophecy. So even if the person telling the dream or vision does not provide Biblical references, the fact that they got the dreams and visions is a confirmation of the Bible.

Ephesians 4 gives us the seven items of the faith that we are to contend for. Anything else we can be general about.

Here is the context

You mean mid-context.

For example I posted a lot of links to people with dreams and visions. I did that because it is a fulfillment of prophecy. So even if the person telling the dream or vision does not provide Biblical references, the fact that they got the dreams and visions is a confirmation of the Bible.

You're saying all posts re: dreams or visions are fulfillment of [biblical] prophecy? I guess we could circle back to my original query re: your generalized statement re: discerning of spirits, but what's the use...

I did not post all dreams and visions on the internet on my blog. I posted a few that I had listened to.

The context of my comment was what I post on my blog.

I already gave you three criteria that I use before posting anything. So no, I would not post a dream or vision that violated the first two criteria. Obviously a dream or vision that someone has will almost always fulfill the third criteria.

My clarification was that some of these people sharing their dreams and visions do not give a Biblical application. It could be done, I could do it, but my main purpose in posting them is to confirm that the Lord is pouring out His spirit in dreams and visions at this time.

God said that whosoever believes in Him shall have eternal life he didn’t say almost eternal life.

John 3:16
King James Version

16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

side note:
this is the NEW covenant.

You posted the concise answer provided to the lost of what the single appropriate response should be. That's good you kept it simple and brief IMHO. Jesus did to Nicodemus. Those who teach God's Word usually consume time and refuse to reconsider the gift. I

The gospel is good news only to those who received the free gift of everlasting life.
It can never be good news to those who treat it as a item that must be earned through process of time and hard efforts.

They hope to be paid for their efforts since they reject the complete payment Jesus made for their sins.
He will respond,

7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

"And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."

Yet another competing tech company
it's the same like the facial recognition technology but it's for recognizing the palm print instead of the face.
But this tech don't work that well. It can make a mistake by identifying someone palm print with another person palm print. that someone with a similar print may can purchase items under the other person's palm print that is similar to theirs.

I hope they don't require it for banking, trade and travel for a long time.
I think the Republicans are using the illegals as a way to get everyone into it. The reason is because at 2001, the Patriot Act went through with no reading. With that was the Real ID Act.
This introduced biometrics and the national/international ID.

Look what was announced during the Super Bowl.
This is one of the most egregious violations to right of privacy ever.
This even exceeds Minority Report.

What do you think folks?

This needs recorded here at the time Gates (of Hell) is starting to push for his invention to be implemented.

If you go back and find near the beginning of the thread I posted a link to World patent WO 060606.
This is what he, the biggest farmland owner, is talking about.
His speech begins at the 2:00 Mark....(of the beast.)
