Oh... yeah, definitely, sleep pwns chat. If I had to do one or the other, I'd take sleep every day. Uh... Every night.
Well, I have really special circumstances right now where I need my immune system to work as well as possible. That is why I can't afford to sacrifice a night of sleep. This chat is like 1 am.

You do whatever you need to keep yourself is as good of condition as possible, @engblom, and for everyone else.

We'll just take it easy and see how things go first.

Unfortunately, we don't seem to retain people here very long (at least, not in the forums.)

But if chat meetups go well, we might have people in different time zones (and in other countries) who can host chats at times that are convenient for more people. :)

My wife and I don't have enough "us" time as it is, so I'm very protective of the time we're together when neither of us is working. Some other time, perhaps.

No worries!

I hope you and your wife have some great quality time together. :)

And while this chat is for everyone, my main focus is try to create a space for those who don't have someone to come home to or talk to.

Of course, those with significant others are welcome to stop in, and bring their other halves along, but we certainly understand that they are most likely engaging in their own family time.

I really enjoyed chatting with all of you.
As the Lord permits, I'll return for the next times.

It was great to see you @Ceph and definitely hope to see you in the future!'

We could make it a weekly thing on Friday night. Just saying.

I'm not sure since I got there late, but were some of the other people saying they had been meeting regularly on Friday nights?

Just wondering if we'd be infringing on anyone's time -- or possibly consolidating with an already existing group?

Since we’re not allowed to go on chats or anything, really, without using VPN, getting into the chatrooms seems to be a quest to no avail.

Yep, it's a two-edged sword. It's meant to keep certain kinds out, but it also deters the safer kinds. I'm pretty sure this is why Crimson Lark quit visiting, although I'm only guessing. I miss chat, but I don't miss that.

Sorry about my English. Also you will have to put up with my oh so French accent lol.
Hearing everyone's accents is the perk in chat, and @coolio will have acclimated any chatters to the French accent by that time. But I'm not seeing that @chatty prompting an autofill :( She has a British accent. And I can't remember the Ukrainian man's handle. He was young and used to come in regularly before the region was turned into a warzone.

I don't know if any API on this site blocks Tor, but the Tor Browser with bridges is an excellent way to beat network restrictions.

I have noticed I can't get into the chat through an SSH tunnel, so it would not surprise me if Tor didn't work.

I'd suggest enabling X11 forwarding and actually using a browser on the romote server through SSH that way.
I admittidly haven't ever tried it myself, but it's something I just know would work.

I would also create a new desktop shortcut with the command to run the remote application, called 'Application (Tunneled)'
