One night it was getting late. I thought it would be a good idea to read the book of Matthew, thinking that will put me to sleep. I lost count of how many years it's been since I read the bible or prayed. After that I grabbed a rosary and wrapped it round my hand with the cross facing outward. My hands were clasped together and my hands were at my head while I was kneed by my bed saying the "Our Father" prayer a couple times. It felt pretty good after all those many years of not doing it. I decided to try and meditate as well thinking it will help me sleep as well. This form of meditation you just repeated something over and over and you are supposed to like really vibe with it. I thought I should give it a shot. I used the bible verse "thou shall not lie" for maybe 2 minutes and that turned into something else. That line turned into the Jonny Cash line "you can run on for a long time, run on for a long time...... sooner or later God will cut you down". All the sudden I am in this day dream of some kind and walking to a grave singing this line. I saw a dark figure that I knew was a very large man standing beside it. I was not afraid, I just needed to walk into this Grave, like my time was paid in full. I song this as I walked into the grave, than the strange man started singing it for me. He spoke softly and deeply "you can run on for a long time...... run on for a long time..... sooner or later God will cut you down". He sang that as I was in the grave. His voice was fading away and I stated to shrink in the Grave. The walls turned into cliff sides and the dirt started to trickle down has his voice faded farther and farther away. Usually when I come up with stories, I have complete control of the story. This was like a dream but I was not in a deep enough sleep for a dream because it was all in a 30 time span. I was still awake just with my eyes closed. What on earth was this and why is the timing a little freaky?

I don't know whether or not you had an encounter with a demon or just a weird dream.
That said , I have experienced serious combat with them and demons aka devils (KJV) are very real.
I've had dozens of attacks as a believer that were so abnormal most non-christians probably wouldn't believe it. God gave me a gift of Discernment of spirits when I got saved and trained me in spiritual warfare. It's been challenging, but if I can help others to overcome those creatures, and save lives then I'm fulfilling my purpose.
When I was a youth, I was introduced to Transcendental Meditation, aka TM, by an adult.
It was introduced into the Western countries and what popularized meditation and Hinduism throughout America and Europe.
It was introduced as a New Age self help technique. Then the American Medical Association pushed it as a medical treatment. Much of what passes for medical science is what the Bible warns of, calling it divining or soothsaying. I've corrected Drs about this deception.
What is meditation in reality?
It is an essential practice of Hinduism, Taoism and Buddhism.
It is taught in class as a mental exercise until the students graduate from the course. Then I was taken into a forbidden room at my last session and learned what meditation really was about.
The room was dimly lit by candles and the smoke of burning incense rose from various shrines about the forbidden temple room.
I was led to one of the stone idols and told to bow and kneel.
Then I was led in prayer to the being represented by the statue.
I later learned that the mantras were all names of the Hindu demons from the Sandskrit language.
Well meaning "Christians" who practice meditation and teach others that it's ok are just plain deceived. TM and the less popular kinds of meditation are admitted by the gurus as the way they summon spirits.
Even though you aren't intending to, the demons don't care. They are being summoned / called upon like prayers to Satan. That gives them permission to mess up your life, deceive and charm you and sooner or later possess you. Once they spy on you and enter your mind and body, they will know all your weaknesses and how to effectively get you to do what they want. They make you think you are in control, but eventually they try take your life.
Read the gospel of Mark after John. Mark tells how Jesus threw/cast those creatures out of men women and even children.
They hate us and the Lord.
I was very fortunate that I was not possessed or killed. When the TM teacher took me to that devil shrine to chant that mantra, name of the spirit, that scared me bad. It's a good thing that I was because I never went back.
Every so often one of those suckers tries to take my life or motivate someone else to.
You don't want that or anything to do with meditation and the New Age religion.
I can't know for sure, but what if the vision or experience you had was a demon that got into your mind? If so, then it was thinking of what it wanted to do to you.
Could you have been thinking it's thoughts? It makes sense since you inadvertently asked for it to come into you.
If not, then the best case scenario was a stern warning about the practices involving summoning evil spirits.
I have a Bible way to get them out of your life if they remain.
I had a freaky experience as well when I went back to Jesus, you might not see it or feel it but these bad spirits or demons do attach themselves to us when we step away from prayer. So when you go back to reading the Bible or praying they try to torment you so you stop, because once you continue they have no choice but to flee. My experience is prayer and Rosary is what saved me. My final sleep paralysis happened when I woke up in spirit and rebuked what was trying to torment me in the name of Jesus and it fled and never showed up again, until recently when I had stopped praying for about a month and i started experiencing the same things and again prayer and rosary is what helped me get out to that. So keep praying every morning and night cover yourself and your house and in the blood of Jesus and he will protect you.
Suggestion before bed pray psalm 91,23 and rosary if you feel that these things are too heavy then read psalm 119 and have the best sleep ever
.On top do that when you pray ask the guidance of the holy sprit and the strength for spiritual warfare. Pray that every door that has been open to the evil spirits closes in the name of Jesus and that every chain shall break so these evil spirits have no access to you.
And very important part to get rid of evil spirits is repentance of sin, I faced the longest torment because of a habitual sin and that opened doors that I had to shut by repentance. These things looks for weak spots that you may have in your life and try to get access to you. So repentance and surrender is just as important as prayer.
