I guess we just have to ignore what the Lord says about believing His word then.
that's a joke you or genez don't ignore anyone after you say your going to ignore them, you both never do, and your friend genez, just when you think maybe he is finally leaving you alone, after he's ignored you for a few days, and your about starting to get over the last upset he's caused you, boom he's back again upsets you for a few more days, places you back on ignore for a few days, comes back again and then does the same thing, and it's been that way with him towards me for months.

What I am to him is probably one of little people he has me on his hit list, because he does the exact same thing to other people here.

He's a coward and a bully

I have a feeling that Jordon is going to tell Jesus that he is a bully..... when Jordon sees Jesus sending people to Hell.
Jesus! "She was such a nice lady! You have no heart!"

Justice and righteousness must prevail.
Legalism is a mental disorder.

My favourite saying? "hell is for wimps, it takes guts to face the truth, especially about yourself." ;)

Thank the Lord for His grace and mercy. :)
you both couldn't care less

There's no such animal in scripture as sinners' "self-righteous 'good' works". The saints are imputed Christ's righteousness, for He is the ONLY One who merited/earned the elect's salvation.

Oh yes there is.

Jews in Isaiah's day who degenerated and had become self righteous, were notorious for it!

Isaiah 64:6

For all of us have become like one who is unclean, And all our righteous deeds are like filthy rags;
And all of us wither like a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.

How do you understand the following? Do you see it correlating with the Isaiah verse at all?

Matthew 5:20
For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

Yep and all your disagreement about my bully genez just proofs you are supporting him, and just proof you have no intension of telling him to stop,

You haven't faced many truths here,

The naive and doctrinally ignorant Jews saw the Pharisees as the pinnacle of righteousness.
The Pharisees were extremely self righteous....

Jesus was publicly slamming their self righteous proud egos, to let everyone know that the Pharisees were not good enough to warrant heaven. That shocked the people to hear that, and is one reason why Jesus was hated so strongly by them.
For no one dared to insult a Pharisee...

I'll not resort to your fantasies of picturing people in hell along with all your other fantasies of people here being demons, or your other fantasies of sin not being evil.

You know I won't, because I'm not you, and as far as I can see with your daily horrible behaviour your in no position to judge anyone here.

Verse 17 doesn't say that Jesus prayed for the world. Why do you have Jesus contradicting himself?

Jesus prayed for all those whom the Father has given to him (both flocks of his Father's sheep) because it is to them only that Jesus gives eternal life. Jesus died only for his covenant people, for His friends, for his sheep, for his Church -- all of which is explicitly expounded upon in the Word. It makes eminently good sense that Jesus would not pray for a world which has no covenant relationship with God.

Furthermore, why would Jesus die and pray for the world in the distributive sense since in eternity God knew who would never come to faith in His Son? FWers believe in a god that absurdly spits into the wind. But such a man-made idol is not my God.

P.S. Welcome to the 'hood. :D

That is correct, v17 says "Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth". Again read further (v20) to see where Jesus prays "I do not pray for these alone (the chosen 12), but also for those who will believe in Me (that's us) through their word". Jesus is not contradicting Himself. The rest of your post, I do not read in my Bible.

He's obligated to keep his unconditional, unilateral New Covenant promises to Abraham's descendants and, of course, the promises the Lord made to Abraham himself. To the rest of the human race...not so much; for He never made a universal redemptive covenant with the entire human race.

My Bible says He did:
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that Whoever believes in Him should not perish but have Everlasting life.

Because their astounding ignorance, Calvinists misinterpret this passage.
Subtleties of the Old Testament totally escape them.

Rufus has pulled this exact same stunt dozens of times now. As if the rest of the chapter doesn't exist.

He has an agenda......

we went over these verses back in August ...

John 17:18-23

18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one

23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

He prayed that those who believe in Him would be one ... the Father in the Son ... the Son in the Father ... the believers one in us (the Father and the Son) ... that the world may know that Thou hast sent me.

When anyone compulsively clings to the false to make themselves feel secure, it means they could not deal with the demonic pressures that came against someone who was supposed to be breaking through the wall of the cosmic resistance. They become draft dodgers of God's army.

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7
Over time, they in effect transform into the very same pressure they could not resist, and turn it against the maturing believer. With the kind of pressure that they refused to handle when it was coming against them.

They refused to go through the required by God, suffering, needed to overcome the pressure. And, in effect, became the pressure in an attempt to escape it. Like we see with the insane group of Queers for Palestine.

Mean, or not.... It is the Truth.

 how dare you expose my evil!!!!!

Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. Eph 5:11

So be it.

We are in a war that God has sovereignly drafted us into. (Chosen!)
