Howdy cloudy and welcome to the forum.I’m single because I am sick and don’t even have a job. No one would want to be with me. Why are you single?
It sounds like you would like for both barriers to be removed. May you participate in the healing and provision you want.I’m single because I am sick and don’t even have a job. No one would want to be with me. Why are you single?
Sooooo... What are you doing this Saturday night? It sounds like you would like for both barriers to be removed. May you participate in the healing and provision you want.
I would prefer not to be single, but it takes two to make that happen. Old as I am, I'm still headed in that direction, taking the sensible steps to remedy and trusting my loving Father for the outcome.
Probably participating in an online Bible study. Want to join? I'm not the only single in the group, just one of the oldest, lol!Sooooo... What are you doing this Saturday night?![]()
Interesting. What's the topic this week?Probably participating in an online Bible study. Want to join? I'm not the only single in the group, just one of the oldest, lol!
englom, that's a tough place to be. I wouldn't consider it to be an act of taking it out of God's hands to look at on-line sources. You have strong parameters, which is good. And you have a lot of years ahead of you. Friends have been happily married after meeting their new middle-aged Christian partners on the online dating apps, and Facebook has several groups you can join to let your case get wider coverage. He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor of the Lord - is that how it reads? Does that sound like you need to start seeking? I hope it goes well for you!I was married from young adulthood until my early forties. Suddenly finding myself single in middle age makes things difficult. Christian women close to my age are usually married, and there are really no Christian single women where I live, neither in my church nor in the other churches in my area. Not even one, as far as I know. And I would never consider dating a non-believer.
Only God knows if I will ever be married again. I have put it in his hands. If he has a plan for me, he will have to guide both me and my future partner, wherever she is, so his plan can be fulfilled. Meanwhile, while waiting for the Lord to act, I hope to make good Christian friends, because it is not good to be alone.
Law and Paul. Interested? Can you message me and I'll give you the link?Interesting. What's the topic this week?
I would suppose there might be barriers that would make not marrying the better and more loving decision, and of course it would be better to dwell alone than with someone that makes you want to camp out on the far corner of the rooftop. But barring those extremes, it could happen if you put effort into the hunt, I would think. And while Paul had advice that at that point in time was appropriate to that audience, there doesn't seem to be a consensus throughout Scripture that there was a better plan than what we were given in the beginning. But you know yourself better than anyone else knows you. I hope the best for you, Blue55.I’m single and never been married for various reasons. I’d love to be able to not be single, but I don’t think it’s ever gonna happen.
Reminds me of a line from an xkcd comic. One character says he has never seen Star Wars and it breaks the other character's brain.I'm single because I was born single and never bothered to change it.
i wish for you great patience with the ingredient of peaceful & joyful waiting & resting in Jesus' answer. Lamentations 3:22-25 & Psalm 27:14. i asked the Lord for a wife & the Holy Spirit said to me, "in about 3 to 4 years". sure enough, 204 weeks later, my wife arrived. think about this, 4 years is 208 weeks, so i waited nearly the maximum time.
