Hello , I'm genuinely interested in knowing more about the 7th day adventists and their beliefs . Whenever u have the time , could u please summerize them ? I'm particularly interested in any beliefs that r very much different to main stream Christianity . Please b assured , I'm not looking for an argument ❤️ I'm genuinely interested . Thank you .
Thank YOU, Sister!
I’m finally finding someone, that by your attitude of unprejudiced searching, you haven’t settled into a self-righteousness attitude and are still looking for and finding Jesus, by God’s Grace and the power of His Holy Spirit, thru your Faith.

Roman 1:17

For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
Praise God, Sister !

Our self-righteousness, selfishness (anti-love) leads to; ~~> “ … all that is in the world ( selfishness) —the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of Satan, the lord of this world. 1 John 2:16

Which is why we have the propensity & prejudice to be the “natural man”, (1 Corinthians 2:14), being our carnal nature rather than the nature of Christ, and His Righteousness, which is LOVE .. Yay! ALL day !! for LOVE !! Hallelujah !!

It seems that God’s Spirit is leading you to question the status quo of the worlds religious communities and looking to take a “path less traveled”. ~~> “... for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Matthew 7:13

I have a T-shirt I like to wear, with a bunch of little fishes, all the same color, all going in the same direction, except for one little fish, different color, going in the opposite direction. Which I understand is how Jesus was, when standing in the Jewish synagog, talking to the ( self-righteous) pharisees. Much like, when here in this CC Forum, I say:

“For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:20

I sometimes hear the “gnashing of teeth” when telling of the Truth / Jesus

Okay sister .. now to your question :-) ~~> Who are Adventist and their beliefs; ... "Part #1"
Will hafta wait till Sabbath tomorrow, when I will have sometime ... Till then ... Blessings Sister

There is an amazing lack of understanding in this thread.
Your reply implies, anyone that disagrees with your belief isn't a Christian & their a fool. Yet, you promote the clueless/7th day Adventist cult. Who's really the fool? Best wishes, FD

I'm implying, that anyone who does not "Follow & Believe" Jesus, by Faith, & yet calling themselves Christian... are being fooled by the Roman Catholic Church. ( anti-Jesus ); Revelation 12:17 ...

"And the dragon (Satan) was wroth with the woman ( God's people ), and went to make war ( by Satan's RCC agency ) with the remnant of her seed, ( those of us ), which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ."

Satan has fooled us ALL ( our carnal, sinful nature ) into believing that we do NOT have to OBEY God, nor having the"testimony of Jesus" and yet we believe we will be saved, (falsely, presumptuously, PRIDEFULLY ) calling ourselves Christians and Children of God, believing this same message of LIEs, deception &"fooling", that came outta Satan's mouth in the Garden of Eden ) in Gen 3.

~~~> Have a Blessed, Rest in Our Lord, This His Sabbath, ... ALL Y'all <~~~ :-)
I'm particularly interested in any beliefs that r very much different to main stream Christianity.
The "Testimony of Jesus" and the "Spirit of Prophecy" are two key concepts , mentioned in the Bible, that are foundational beliefs of the .... 7th Day Adventists movement. Which most all Christian denominations, don't understand, & don't want to understand or believe, as it promotes "obedience to God", which differs SO MUCH from their "Dispensational" religious belief system.
The following is an explanation for your understanding ;
1. The "Testimony of Jesus" in Revelation 12:17:
The phrase "Testimony of Jesus" is found in Revelation 12:17, which says:
"And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." Revelation 12:17, KJV
This verse describes a cosmic battle between the forces of good and evil, with the dragon (Satan) making war against the "remnant" — the faithful followers of God who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
In Seventh-day Adventist theology, the "Testimony of Jesus" is understood to refer to Jesus Christ's message, teachings, and witness. It represents the prophetic message that points to the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus, and the call to faithfully follow Him. The "remnant" in this passage refers to those who hold onto this testimony, representing those who continue to live in accordance with God's commandments while remaining faithful to the message and mission of Jesus.
2. The "Spirit of Prophecy":
The term "Spirit of Prophecy" is mentioned in Revelation 19:10, which says:
"And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." (Revelation 19:10, KJV)
This verse links the "Testimony of Jesus" with the "spirit of prophecy", which is understood to mean the divine inspiration and gift of prophecy that is given to individuals who are faithful to God's message. In the context of the Bible and Ellen White's writings, the "spirit of prophecy" is the inspired revelation of God's will, often conveyed through prophets who speak on His behalf.
3. The "Testimony of Jesus" and "Spirit of Prophecy" in the Writings of Ellen White:
Ellen White, one of the pioneers of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, claimed to have received the gift of prophecy and was regarded by her followers as a prophetess. She wrote extensively on the "Testimony of Jesus" and the "Spirit of Prophecy", linking these concepts to her own prophetic experiences and messages.
  • Testimony of Jesus: For Ellen White, the Testimony of Jesus was a central part of her ministry. It was not just about speaking for Jesus, but also about pointing to Him as the Savior and living according to His teachings. This testimony was a witness to Jesus' life, His work, and the eternal salvation He offers. The testimony was about the gospel message that should be shared with the world. It involved calling people to obedience to God’s commandments, particularly the Seventh-day Sabbath, which the Adventist movement places great emphasis on.
  • Spirit of Prophecy: In Ellen White's context, the "Spirit of Prophecy" was the divine inspiration and spiritual insight that she claimed to have received directly from God. Ellen White referred to this as the power that guided her visions, dreams, and written works. She believed that the Spirit of Prophecy was the means by which God communicated with His people in the last days. Her prophetic role was viewed as continuing the work of the prophets in the Bible, especially in leading God's people to deeper spiritual understanding and preparing them for Christ's second coming.
In Revelation 19:10, where it says, “the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy,” Ellen White affirms that the Spirit of Prophecy is not just about predicting future events, but also about revealing the character and message of Jesus Christ, guiding believers to live faithful and obedient lives.
4. The Testimony of Jesus and the Remnant:
In Revelation 12:17, it is significant that the "remnant" who keep the commandments of God also have the testimony of Jesus. Adventists believe that this remnant is a distinct group of people in the last days who maintain the faith that was once delivered to the saints. The Testimony of Jesus and the Spirit of Prophecy are seen as gifts to guide this remnant in their mission to be faithful witnesses for Christ.
The Adventist pioneers and we Adventists NOW, view her writings as a part of this prophetic testimony — messages that are not equal to Scripture, but are understood as an extension of the prophetic ministry in these last days. This ministry, points back to Scripture, (harmonizing with :-)), and affirming the Bible’s teachings and emphasizing the call to righteousness, faith, and obedience.
Conclusion:
  • The "Testimony of Jesus" in Revelation 12:17 refers to the message and witness of Jesus Christ, specifically the call to live according to His commandments and to follow Him in faith.
  • The "Spirit of Prophecy" in Revelation 19:10 refers to the divine inspiration that enables individuals to give a prophetic witness to God's will, including the gift of prophecy given to the many leaders, like Ellen White. For Adventists, this is understood as the continued ministry of prophecy in the last days, culminating in the preparation for Christ's return.
For we Adventist, the Testimony of Jesus and the Spirit of Prophecy are deeply intertwined, pointing to the continuation of prophetic revelation in the church, guiding believers to faithfulness in anticipation of the second coming of Christ. " Maranatha ! " &
Blessed, & A Happy Sabbath Sister :-)
Thank you so much , I'm going to have a look at Ellen White's writings ❤️
Thank you for your interest ..
I would recommend, "The Great Controversy" or "Steps to Christ".
These two are my second favorite books of all time, and I've read A LOT ...
You can find an Adventist or visit ANY SDA Church and they will be happy to GIVE you both ...
Blessings
( ever have anyother questions concerning anything .. just ask :) )
Now look who is creating semantics to fit his delusion.
There is no such definition , you made it up - "ha-Adam = the specific man named Adam". For your ignorant information there is no capitalization in "ha-adam" , if there is caps it would definitely be the 'H' and not the 'a' as you false deceivingly try to imply.
simple grammar, not semantics.
1000041052.jpg
you shouldn't say there's no such thing without doing 5 seconds of fact checking, dude. it ruins your reputation, and a man's reputation is worth more than all the cash in the world.
Jesus has not yet been crucified and risen in Spirit much less born of flesh, how would the ANCIENT Hebrews have any account of this prophecy in their time, you make no logical sense.
the Scriptures are breathed by God, Who knows all things.
***Notice it is the NEW testament BOOK of Luke, you go forwards not backwards. Can you read , it states :
He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.
in all the Scriptures, He expounded the things concerning Himself.
Luke 24:27 does say "the certain scriptures that actually speak of Him". in spite of your grammar skills.
Here is PROOF :
to them the things concerning περὶ (peri) 4012: about, concerning, around
Himself fἑαυτοῦ (eautou) 1438: of himself, herself,
in all πάσαις (pasais) 3956: every
word the Scriptures. γραφαῖς (graphais) 1124: scripture
"beginning with Moses.."
i.e. Genesis 1:1 :rolleyes:
You are preaching that within the first chapters of Genesis, God gives away to the Ancient Hebrews the surprise Spiritual ending of Revelation. No one writes like this and most certainly not God.
only God writes like this.
That's how we know it is scripture.
do you seriously not know what the Bible is?
the “man of sin,” the “son of perdition,” and the “antichrist” NOT as a singular individual but as the Papal system.
that view utterly fails to account for Christ specifically calling the individual man Judas the son of perdition.
Judas was not a pope. he was an apostle. and he is a specific individual man, not a 'system' of bishopric.
... also it's not an accurate statement to say 'the protestant reformers' said this. there were a LOT of reformers and a lot of various views during that time of segregation from Rome.
BTW Christians celebrated the resurrection of Christ on sundays long before there was any such thing as bishops much less a papacy.
papal supremacy and persecution from 538 AD to 1798
if there was no papacy before 598 how is it your teachers argue Constantine ((not a pope)) changed the sabbath in the 300s ((he didn't)) but attribute that to papacy?
Jesus called Judas Iscariot ((also not a pope)) the son of perdition.
what you have been indoctrinated into completely ignores that.
Can I safely assume you read the translations of the Word of God, somewhat, if even a little.
All humanity/mankind behaves like obedient children or disobedient children.
obedient children = few = Sons of God.
disobedient children = the many = sons of satan.
***PennEd, post: I guess “son of perdition” also means all humanity?
smh
We both KNOW :
All humanity/mankind fell from Grace(forget their first Love) - “son of perdition” - as one embodiment of failure, coming short of the Glory of God.
Scriptures does not state a "son of perdition" remains disobediant, but that seeing what you have become feeds to Spiritual Faith more to REPENT/TURN AWAY that state of dead human flesh - “son of perdition”
ALL Humanity/mankind crucified the Christ of God by their sins. - “son of perdition” - as one embodiment of failure needing to be saved from themselves. Those who SEE their sins as 'the lawless one' are the ones who will be saved and sit on the throne as Chorst and Judge to world of the living and the dead.
-------------------------------------------
Few of humanity/mankind awake in Spirit to become the obedient children = The called out and CHOSEN few = Sons of God.
and
That the "MANY" remain as disobedient children = the many = sons of satan.
_______________________________
There are only 2 possibilities : I came to LIE! or share Spiritual Truth, it is your choice that I bare witness too.
Still shaking your head?!? , you will gnashing your teeth soon enough.
the Greek grammar leaves no room to interpret the Son of perdition as anything other than a distinct individual in both of the exactly two places the title is mentioned in scripture.
but fools hate knowledge,
and love their simplicity
- some ((distinct, individual)) guy named Solomon
Few of humanity/mankind awake in Spirit to become the obedient children = The called out and CHOSEN few = Sons of God.
i feel like it's a bit of a hallmark of anyone in this group, that they do not fail to understand that God wrote the Bible.
