I was approved for food stamps, but they only gave me $41.00

I don't know how all those people get to have all those food stamps. I see people coming into dollar general with all food stamps, buying up the whole store when they come. Along with the food they also place all these other things on the counter, things that don't matter. I don't know how they get those food stamps. Yeah I see them buying all this trash along with the food and they have me labeled as incompetent because of my credit card utilization.

I see them buying all these things like paintings, flowers, decorative bowels that have no function. Little boxes that the only thing about it is it says, welcome home. And these things are $5.00- $20.00 each. Then they pay for their order with food stamps and the balance shows over $300.00 USD left.

All they gave me was $41.00 for the whole month.

If you could figure out a way to have about 8 kids quickly, you would get more in foodstamps. But you have to "identify" as a grossly overweight single mother.

The way SNAP works everything is rang up then it separates the items SNAP covers from what it does not and they then pay the balance in cash. Only way around it is if the cashier is doing something shady by overriding items as food.

Or when they enter the Welfare program when they file for Social Security most all of the elderly among others on S.S. also qualify at the same time. They explain it at the S.S. administration when they apply and why Social Security is also considered welfare in the United States. Oh gosh that's not good ! I'm very sorry for u 😞 , is there any way u can appeal this decision ? Any way u can check on the internet to make sure this is correct ? Maybe they made a mistake or u made a mistake when u applied ? It has to b worth checking again to make sure . R there r any local charities that can help u out ? In the UK we have food banks where charities give away free food or , u pay a small fixed fee for a good package . Some churches also help people out with food parcels . Do u have the Salvation Army in the USA ? If u know any other people in your position u could ask them , they would likely know where to get extra help . Please let me know how u get on , I hope that u r not going hungry 😲 .

Not sure which state you live in (I'm in Texas) but each state does SNAP differently from state to state so you'll need to research your state for information on how yours works. I don't use any type credit cards so I'm not sure how this would effect SNAP in your state so you would need to ask them how it does. One thing I can maybe help clear up is that the SNAP card it's self is not only for food alone it also has cash benefits also. When you call to check the balance it gives you both food and cash benefits. There's too much to explain for the different situations people could qualify for the cash portion because there's too many examples i.e. veterans, grandparents raising their grandchildren, the disabled or even just elderly living on Social Security ect. but things like TANF,childcare ect. are also loaded onto SNAP benefit cards. Texas does not but some states may also load child support payments on to the SNAP ben. cards. I pray to God that u get all the help u need ❤️ . Don't give up and certainly don't b embarrassed to ask for help , we all have needed it at some time in our lives , me included .
