He can repeat it untill the cows come home friend, the bottom line is, those who stand before the cross, the lord must see his fathers mercy in them which can only be seen in his light

A heart is hardened when one knows the truth and denies it.
Romans 1:
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

God empowers and enables those who desire to know Him correctly.
The means to that empowerment is His grace.
I feel sorry for you, in fear for you.

None of those verses states the Lord hardened their hearts. What they do show is how rebellious Israel was against God and yet, God showed them mercy time and time again.
God's not willing that any should perish. God's will is not for any man to reject the gift of grace through Jesus Christ, but through man's own will, he rejects God's gift and ends up perishing.
