A bogus Calvinist shibboleth that has already been debunked innumerable times. Man is more than just flesh.

[Job 32:8 KJV] 8 But [there is] a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

[Job 34:14 KJV] 14 If he set his heart upon man, [if] he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;

[Psa 32:2 KJV] 2 Blessed [is] the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit [there is] no guile.

[Pro 20:27 KJV] 27 The spirit of man [is] the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.

[Ecc 3:21 KJV] 21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

[Zec 12:1 KJV] 1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.

[1Th 5:23 KJV] 23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
you've been told many times how true Calvin affiliates speak.

It's on you to keep using your imaginary takes of Calvinists

Man is born in transgression and sin (Psalm 51 verse 5, 58 verse 3), dead in transgressions (Ephesians 2 verse 5), his heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure (Jeremiah 17 verse 9), held captive by a love for sin (John 3 verse 19; John 8 verse 34), so that he will not seek God (Romans 3 verses 10-11), because he loves the darkness (John 3 verse 19), and does not understand the things of God (1 Corinthians 2 verse 14), nor can he change himself (Jeremiah 13 verse 23). He suppresses the truth of God in unrighteousness (Romans 1 verse 18) and continues to willfully live in sin because he is totally depraved; this sinful lifestyle seems right to men (Proverbs 14 verse 12); they reject the gospel of Christ as foolishness (1 Corinthians 1 verse 18), and their mind is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. (Romans 8 verse 7).

To be honest, metaphorically speaking, these images almost burn my eyes just looking at them. They are spiritually disturbing to my soul. The verses are often placed in a font that is not easy to read, and the artwork pulls attention away from the Scripture instead of helping someone focus on it.
My concern is not with Scripture being posted. I value Scripture. The issue is the style of artwork being attached to it. ..

@Magenta has done this artwork here for many years. If you can't appreciate it, scroll past. There's nothing saying her art has to be legible or acceptable to you in any way. Most people here appreciate her work.

My concern is not with Scripture being posted. I value Scripture. The issue is the style of artwork being attached to it. A number of the images portray women with inappropriate seductive expressions or very artificial smiles.

Well you're entitled to your opinion. Again, she has done this work for years and no one has had an issue till now. Had moderators deemed it "seductive" it wouldn't be here. So again, if it offends you, scroll by.

One particular image even depicted a female angel with a halo, which is not a biblical concept. Others use mystical scenery, glowing fantasy effects, or jewelry that resembles New Age or occult symbolism. This creates a magical fairy realm atmosphere rather than something grounded in Scripture.

No such thing. It is art. I've got news for you, Jesus isn't a white guy with blue eyes either. It's called art. If it offends you, say it with me now, scroll past.

I am also not alone in noticing this. Another poster has expressed discomfort with her artwork as well.

Well the majority of us don't have an issue. Or do you expect everything should be suited to your liking in the forum just because you joined. You'll find over the years people have appreciated Sister Magenta's art and have been encouraged and uplifted by it.

I believe many people in our culture have become desensitized to fantasy magic imagery and to unbiblical ideas like female angels with halos because these things are common in entertainment and media. When someone becomes used to these cultural influences, they may not see any problem when such concepts are mixed with Scripture.

Ok @Magenta how many variations of this can you make? Imagine trying to put this on top of a Christmas tree!! Oh but I'm sure that's the "devils pole" going directly to hell for the Christmas tree. My mother has a lovely nativity scene, but the angels look a lot like yours. I wonder if these will sell at Walmart in nativity scenes?

When the artwork is visually distracting, unbiblical, or carries worldly spiritual symbolism, it does not edify. It shifts the focus away from the Word itself and introduces elements that the Bible never presents.

If the verses were placed over a waterfall, a mountain, or a simple nature scene, I would have no issue at all. But attaching God’s Word to artwork that includes seductive facial expressions, fantasy magic themes, halos, or occult looking jewelry does not reflect the holiness or purity that Scripture calls us to uphold.

.....

Well listen, why don't you do your art the way you like to see it? I wonder what you think of this art? We'll take a posterior shot of David lest you have a grand mal seizure! @Magenta can you find some Scripture to post over this art? Yours is too seductive dear. ;)

Some guys just seem to like projecting their perverted male fantasies onto anything feminine.

And you may have noticed he said, we don't know what Jesus looked like, but He did not look like that?

Well, how would he know if nobody knows? Besides which, there were no blue eyes. He just makes
stuff up and tries to stick it on me while pretending to be mister nice guy, which he is not.

Like saying a single pearl was some occult magic crystal ball. He sees what he wants to see, not what is there.

That would contradict your own belief. Don't you believe the instant one believes they become saved? Instead, the "shall be saved" (future tense) pertains to being saved from the wrath of God on Judgement Day. The "shall be saved" in the below, being in the same future tense:

[Rom 5:9 KJV] 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
Saved from wrath is part of the salvation package. Obviously.

Many have probably realised i don't think we can exercise free will, even think it's impossible for us to. Won't explain why i think it's an impossiblility for us yet, think it's useful for some to express why they think it exists first.

I have no doubt we have and can make choices throughout life, however, think our options are far more restricted than most realise. What do you think?
God has given mankind that was made in His likeness freewill because we're His children. The others are servants including satan and animals. Mankind is the only being that doesn't obey God's command because we choose not to. But the others have no choice. But we choose to listen to these demonic spirits because they know our desires and they use those desires to entice us to do their will.
All spirits can hear our thoughts or emotions like some animals, because that's the way spirits communicate through a type of telepathy. And so, they know what our heart are asking for.

Job 36:10
He makes them listen to correction and commands them to repent of their evil.

Job 34:33
Should God then reward you on your terms, when you refuse to repent? You must decide, not I; so tell me what you know.

2 Samuel 24:16
When the angel stretched out his hand to destroy Jerusalem, the Lord relented concerning the disaster and said to the angel who was afflicting the people, “Enough! Withdraw your hand.” The angel of the Lord was then at the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

Job 1:12
The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man, himself do not lay a finger.” Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.

Mark 5:11-13
A large herd of pigs was feeding on the nearby hillside. The demons begged Jesus, “Send us among the pigs; allow us to go into them.” He gave them permission, and the impure spirits came out and went into the pigs. The herd, about two thousand in number, rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned.

Matthew 9:4
Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said, “Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts?

Romans 8:27
And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.

@Kroogz

You should try to remember the below and apply it each and every time you find "will be saved" or "shall be saved, as it is in multiple verses. It will help you to avoid coming to incorrect interpretations if you heed it.

Believe is Aorist; the "shall be saved", in the future. Meaning that you can't use "believe" in the verse you chose, as the trigger for becoming saved as stated by that verse. According to you, belief triggers salvation, doesn't it, so it should be immediate, not future. Meaning, that the verses is conveying something different than what you're saying.

ONE freaking verse teaches that you are not all that you think you are......You special ones are so very conceited.

1 John 2:2
and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

ALL of us can believe and be saved.......Acts 16:31

It is not just for you and your special ones.

And your cherry-picked "ONE freaking verse" is teaching what exactly?

"believe" is in the Aorist Imperative Active voice. A command that is given to the jailer. The JAILER must believe.

4100 [e]Πίστευσον
PisteusonBelieveV-AMA-2S

Of course "shall be saved" Is future tense.......The Moment(aorist of "believe") the Jailer believes he will be saved. He may believe in a few minutes or a few days or a few years.

Whoever believes in the Lord Jesus......their future holds His salvation.
Good catch! Why then did the Calvinists double-down on their error? Their rebuttal was pitiful......:cautious:

The Aorist Imperative Active of πιστεύω is a direct command: “Believe!” (once-for-all decision of faith).

These are the occurrences in the critical Greek New Testament text.

Mark 1:15
Repent ye, and believe the gospel πιστεύετε Aorist Imperative Active – plural

Mark 5:36
Be not afraid, only believeμόνον πίστευε Aorist Imperative Active – singular

Mark 11:24…
believe that ye receive themπιστεύετε Aorist Imperative Active – plural

Luke 8:50
Fear not: believe onlyμόνον πίστευε Aorist Imperative Active – singular (parallel to Mark 5:36)

John 6:29
… that ye believe on him πιστεύητε Aorist Imperative Active – plural (subjunctive in some mss, but imperative in the majority/critical text)

John 14:1
Ye believe in God, believe also in me πιστεύετε … πιστεύετε Both are Aorist Imperative Active – plural (can be translated “Believe!”)

Acts 16:31
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ ΠίστευσονAorist Imperative Active – singular (the classic “Believe!” command)

Romans 8:27
And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
Nice. Only those with the Spirit of God can receive and understand the Spiritual things of God. All others do not comprehend and are opposed to the Spiritual things of God as per Scripture, which many love to contradict and deny, pretending such a man as the natural man does not exist, he who is NOT indwelt with the Holy Spirit of God. Scripture also states that those without the Spirit do not belong to God, that the world cannot receive the Spirit of Truth. Say these things, quote these Scriptural truths, and some of these free willers will condemn you. They want to pretend that the natural man is simply a carnal Christian, as if first comes the natural, then comes the spiritual, were not true. They want to believe the flesh can do what Scripture says it cannot. Watch for those who say God is not even required.

yep the word clearly says the law of sin freely disobeys God.

The word of God says free will lives in the flesh

The word of God says man can not be saved by there free will of the flesh

All points to the law of sin being free will

What's more is sin entered man which God did not want.

The trouble is free will and a sin nature will not admit it.

Neither will you no doubt

Once again ohhhh humble one........You are a sinner in need of salvation. You are everything but humble. You are miserable to the core. You cannot be humble......Yet you received His Grace.

Special @Rufus is not very special.

You are just as miserable and despicable as all of us who CHOSE to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

You're truly stuck on stupid, aren't you? I've explained many times how all God's elect are/were humble in God's eyes in eternity through a theological device called Federal Headship. Why do you despise the humility of God's Holy Servant? Evidently, His humility isn't good enough for you, is it? But for me and my household, His perfect, holy, sinless, righteous life is very special in every way.

How did you get that from that verse? It says only "shalt be saved", not became saved?

The prizefighter told him, "talk to me that way again, you' shall get punched in the face...."

"Shall be punched"?

Or, "become punched"?

hmmmmm?

What is your problem?
It does not depend upon you stopping your denial to make reality be reality.

@Rufus is trumpeting Calvinists' humble worthiness again? Sounds awfully self-exalting to me ROFL.

Will this induce @Magenta to issue another one of her imprecatory diatribes?

The willfully ignorant attract the willfully ignorant. God clearly has hidden from the eyes and ears of your dark, wretched, misguided heart what Federal Headship entails.

an unsaved person can not repent without Godly sorrow in there heart

Not going to happen

It is not, "godly sorrow."
That would mean God has sorrow, and we are to imitate it.

It is... "sorrow as God would have it."

God wants us to sorrow over certain things we do wrong.
On the other hand...
God has no sorrow for us to be like him in sorrow.
That would be godly sorrow.

You are wish-casting again?
Pharisaical gatekeepers of Jesus' day imposed similar barriers in front of those whom they thought unworthy totally depraved sinners BTW......:sick::sick:

[Mat 23:13 KJV]
But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in [yourselves], neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

[Mat 23:15 KJV]
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

[Mat 23:23 KJV]
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier [matters] of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

look I know the game your playing along with your crew

Your doing your best to offend.

Only you've offended people that much your words are just nothing to us now.

You would be better of going to drop out centre where druggies are looking for a fix, they will give you all the love in the world if you give them free will

Maybe you could give them a hundred pound to get some drugs and kill themselves whilst your at it
