It's an idol literally, the Man of Sin whom is analagous to the beast that comes out of the earth makes an idol in the image of the beast of the sea exactly the same as the Man of Sin makes the abomination of desolation in Daniel 11. It is even directly encouraged to the reader to hearken back to Daniel establishing the clear link and reinforcing that the image of the beast is literally an idol in the image of the beast.

Ah this is what the people that take the mark and worship the dragon and the man of sin and the idol of the beast say, "who can make war with the Beast?" Little did they undestand that the male virgin saints before their first deaths read this prophecy and thought to themselves "challenge accepted, praise Jesus" and so the next chapter answers this boast of theirs.

Well the great delusion is serving Satan and them bowing down and worrshipping either Satan, the Man of Sin, or the idol of the Beast.

I have thought of this before of course, but it doesn't neccessarily have to be so either. For one the Man of Sin is going to also be ruling with the Devil and a whole bunch of fallen angels and all sorts of stuff. You don't neccessarily need technology to call fire down from Heaven in men's sight. I concede though in an abstract I can see how one could think that ironically if tech is reset for the most part because of the earlier judgments and the man of sin like maybe finds some functional relics of it he could use it to manipulate a more wicked and primitive sort of people. I still feel like that's like a lot of added unneccessary steps though if I'm just being honest and from a place where I like these conversations from time to time. I think trying to take the text and prophecies as literally as is possible that well Satan and fallen angels will be down on Earth and explicitly they be in league with the man of sin. I think he would use sorcery or something like that to call down fire, basically Satan and the fallen angels might help him to do pull off that trick.

Yup there's that factor too, and actually alot of different countries got AIs too, rather than a straight up sputnik arms race it's more liek a global free for all. America is winning both ChatGPT and Google's Gemini are in my very biased opinion the best, but I mean there's a lot of AI now.

For reference, in the military a man needs to be able to run 1.5 miles in 16:36 (this robot would do that in 7:30). The marine corpse requires 3 miles in 28 minutes (this robot in 15 minutes) and special forces require a pace of 6 minutes per mile (this robot is 5:12 per mile). It is not going to win a gold medal at the olympics, but it is certainly capable of qualifying for the military.

A smaller news story that probably will go overlooked, but this is potentially a huge story in terms of the AI. Trump and his administration are currently in talks and exploration about the idea of letting NVIDIA sell China high quality chips that are required to have advanced AI. On one hand if they allow this that could strengthen the overall market for AI, potentially averting or cushioning the potential for the AI bubble to pop. On the other hand it shows that for the time being USA has the best AI and our chief goepolitical rival China is clearly at a disadvantage in the AI race, and so denying this deal will certainly keep our AI edge for a while. Hard to say what they will choose to do, but figured it be an interesting little story for this topic.
