To be fair, I was one who bought into the idea, that Y2K was a time for the Lord's return, I was led astray. People are probably getting persuaded by YouTube or other means about a soon return of Jesus. I know the Bible says, Jesus is coming soon, but it's obvious the Lord didn't return last month.
Who doesn't want the LORD to come back soon? This world is getting crazy. I wouldn't mind a get out of struggle ticket. At the same time, not our will right?
Be gracious, we all have issues.
Oh yes the Y2K scare. My wife was a tech and where she worked they ran a test tricking the system into thinking it was 1999 and ran like it was turning year 2000. As we know nothing happened. I warned people not to spend money on generators but they bought them anyway.

I just wish I had listened more when she tried to teach me things. She was much smarter than me. Prettier too.
I agree with being gracious to those deceived, and hopefully lessons are being learned and eyes opened through scripture. Many here are presenting solid scripture proving why we will not know a date.
This isn't a matter of making an 'oops my bad, we all have issues' mistake, though. Those who are setting dates and deceiving are either false prophets [if they claim they received a date from the Lord] or false teachers [if they are teaching a date based on their studies and understanding]. They put themselves into a position that carries greater responsibility and stricter judgment. As the Bible says, they bring the truth into disrepute and therefore bring destruction on themselves.
I noticed this time seems different. Like how you guys are filling up page 37 here, it's not going away that fast. Still people are making videos, looking at different Calendars. Even the Enoch Calendar now. Enoch was raptured, maybe that's the Rapture Calendar.
And the mockers and scoffers have gone crazy. Either making videos for that purpose, or adding extra mean comments in the videos.
And it's still hanging on. This year it all began in July with Joshua from Africa doing his vision interviews. Like did he alone cause a mass hypnosis? There's still loads of people in the comment sections of videos that still think Joshua was right, and either Jesus was delayed, or Joshua misunderstood the specifics of what Jesus said. They won't snap out of it.
This woman still believes Joshua was true:

By now this should have all blown over, but people are still trying to turn over every stone and calendar version they can find because they were so convinced by that vision guy. They'll go from one date, get depressed, then figure out another and another because they were so sure it is happening. I've even seen where some are saying the Rapture, the Exodus did begin, but they think it's a process that is taking longer because it begins with the dead from all times, from thousands of years ago.
They won't give up this time, rapture people are fun anyway:

I'm greatly concern what're we going to do with these false prophets of 450 + Psalm1 , William Miller, Ellen G White, etc.
One prophet knows what to with them - slew them all....
Genuine Christians don't slay their enemies. God will deal with all modern-day false prophets in His time and in His way; our job is to speak the truth and live by it, not to punish people for their sin and error.
So anyone here think
the blood of God is ordinary - does not come with a great sacrificed?
