True, pure and faithful Calvinists have Satan being God’s hitman. It’s sick and twisted. If they do not, then they aren’t a Calvinist.
Calvinism, when applied consistently, portrays God as orchestrating every event that ever occurred and will occur— as He has eternally decreed all events—including the sinful acts of Satan—as part of His own eternal decree. Then, Calvinism has Him getting angry at His very own eternal decrees, which makes God being angry at Himself. When viewed through true Calvinism lens, it does not have the God of the Bible. It has a distorted version who they believe is God.Perhaps because they have divorced God's just wrath from His righteous love.

Well we certainly cannot choose to do evil unto another that much is clear. He only likes what is not evil, nor sin...
But, I suppose his 'sovereignty' allows Him to anything wrong... Right?
Please, make up your mind if you are going to be logically consistent.
Of course. So why then do they vociferously "hold on" to this bogus doctrine?Calvinism, when applied consistently, portrays God as orchestrating every event that ever occurred and will occur— as He has eternally decreed all events—including the sinful acts of Satan—as part of His own eternal decree. Rules for thee(mankind) but not for Me(God.).......According to the calvies.Well we certainly cannot choose to do evil unto another that much is clear.
1Th 5:15
See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
2 Cor 6:2Of course. So why then do they vociferously "hold on" to this bogus doctrine?
[Isa 55:1 KJV]
Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
[Isa 55:3 KJV]
Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and (CONSEQUENTLY) I will make an everlasting covenant with you, [even] the sure mercies of David.
[Isa 55:6 KJV]
Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
[Isa 55:7 KJV]
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
[Isa 55:8 KJV]
For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
Judges 7:2 And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me.7 Early in the morning, Jerub-Baal (that is, Gideon) and all his men camped at the spring of Harod. The camp of Midian was north of them in the valley near the hill of Moreh. 2 The Lord said to Gideon, “You have too many men. I cannot deliver Midian into their hands, or Israel would boast against me, ‘My own strength has saved me.’
His chosen people with the lords strength in them, where boasting it was there own, so the lord God made them tremble with fear. And to other he left with his strength.
Which was the same in Deuteronomy 7 when he said show them no mercy.
If you start with 32,000 and 10,000 remained ... that means 22,000 trembled with fear.Jordon said:Next
3 Now announce to the army, ‘Anyone who trembles with fear may turn back and leave Mount Gilead.’” So twenty-two thousand men left, while ten thousand remained.
Count here 32000 to begin with. This means just alone by announcing Gods word 10000 have already tremble with fear..
God gave instructions to Gideon. God did not instruct all 10,000 who remained.Jordon said:4 But the Lord said to Gideon, “There are still too many men. Take them down to the water, and I will thin them out for you there.
This is lord God saying I will make the rest tremble with fear.
Notice he is making people believe
According to Judges 7:3, only 22,000 were fearful and afraid.Jordon said:If I say, ‘This one shall go with you,’ he shall go; but if I say, ‘This one shall not go with you,’ he shall not go.”
5 So Gideon took the men down to the water. There the Lord told him, “Separate those who lap the water with their tongues as a dog laps from those who kneel down to drink.” 6 Three hundred of them drank from cupped hands, lapping like dogs. All the rest got down on their knees to drink.
Notice The lord God made 21700 men tremble with fear to drink the water the way they did, he made them do it . Notice Hardening of hearts can be used to save people as in Romans 9:18 to.
Please provide the verse which states "he strengthened with strengthening fear. a hardening".Jordon said:The rest he strengthened with strengthening fear. A hardening
300 men had there hearts hardened as in Deuteronomy 7. where the lord replaced there mercy and affection he had already place in there hearts, where he hardened there hearts he said show them no mercy
Again gardening there hearts to save
God decreased the number so that the people would know that it was He ... the Lord God ... Who had won the victory.Jordon said:7 The Lord said to Gideon, “With the three hundred men that lapped I will save you and give the Midianites into your hands. Let all the others go home.” 8 So Gideon sent the rest of the Israelites home but kept the three hundred, who took over the provisions and trumpets of the others.
The whole purpose of this is to not boast and sat you can say God's strength is your own strength.![]()
the name calling goes both ways ...Basically free will pelican heretics that deny the fall of man and Gods sovereignty, hence the reason they Keep calling us the names they do.
Those passages are key to rightly understanding Romans 9.
A fact that was brought to the attention of the Calvinists, which they immediately denied.
It does apply to all men. Scripture tells us that we were once as them. So, how do we do good?So how do we do good?
God does not force someone to believe.@Genez ; Brother Genez: Didn't you say, somewhere above in this Thread, that GOD could not force a person to Believe?
It does apply to all men. Scripture tells us that we were once as them. So, how do we do good?
God walked on water, and raised the dead.
If you believe these truths, can you not consider the fact that He is able and willing to renew man's heart, restore his lost ability and draw that man to Christ, even if the man has absolutely no desire or ability to come? If He works a change in you, will your desires not change as well?
This does not mean that we play no part in salvation. Once we are renewed we will trust, believe, and desire God in our life. These things must and will happen, but they are gifts given to those of His choosing. That is what [Grace] is!
This is what He does for the elect! Please don't tell me that this makes Him unfair in any way. . .
the name calling goes both ways ...
Romans 2:1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
.
@Bible_Highlighter, is Jeremiah 18:7-10 good passages to show how a nation’s fate isn’t set in stone?
Therein lies your problem. If God only enables us to make a choice, then salvation is no longer by grace. It is grace plus the work of man. Scripture teaches grace alone.Ok I understand that all mighty God can do anything. He can absolutely do what you just said. As well he can also absolutely leave the choice to believe up to man. He could absolutely give man the choice to accept or deny him. He is all mighty he could do that just as easy as what you say.
