Why dont you start to keep them, the lord will make it possible just try and see, why would have he given us commandments is no one could keep them? they are not a burden really.

Here are the Ten Commandments as given by God in Exodus 20:1–17, NKJV, written in simple and clear words:

  1. You shall have no other gods before Me.
  2. You shall not make idols or bow down to them.
  3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
  4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
  5. Honor your father and your mother.
  6. You shall not murder.
  7. You shall not commit adultery.
  8. You shall not steal.
  9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
  10. You shall not covet anything that belongs to your neighbor.

1 John 5:3, NKJV
“For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.”

They are not a burden really because you really don't keep the law. If you are going to be justified by the law, then you have to keep all of it. You either believe you are justified or not. If not, then you will try to justify yourself with commandment keeping. If you do believe, then you will cease from working to earn righteousness and learn to walk according to the spirit in faith and grace, which accomplishes the righteousness required by the law

The greatest commandments that Jesus told us to keep are not even in the 10 comandments.

keeping the Commandments is a start for many, when we who believe in Jesus do follow them because we love God, our heart is transformed and we seek to do good aground us wherever we can in all manners possible. Jesus gave examples of this;
Matthew 25:35–36
“For I was hungry and you gave Me food. I was thirsty and you gave Me drink. I was a stranger and you took Me in. I was naked and you clothed Me. I was sick and you visited Me. I was in prison and you came to Me.”

as for the work yes it is most difficult but the lord teaches is that if they do not receive his words, to leave. all I can do is tell them the truth from scripture from there people have to make a choice, we all have free will.

Deu 11:26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;
Deu 11:27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day:
Deu 11:28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

and

Deu 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Deu 30:20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

and

Deu 30:15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;
Deu 30:16 In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

Can you back up this with HIS word? "when we who believe in Jesus do follow them because we love God, our heart is transformed"

Are we still born in sin?

If so do we have to get rid of it to enter Heaven?

Not to stay spiritually saved to enter heaven nor to retain eternal life, but to walk in the Spirit and to live in the Victory He won for us.

How do you reconcile the many NT verses that blatantly say otherwise? For example, one of many:

Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee. 1 Timothy 4:16
btw again, there is no such thing as spiritual salvation. It's salvation of the whole person, ie, body, soul and spirit

Calvinists like to blur the lines between salvation and fellowship with God and one's walk in Christ.

I think that is their error and leads a very insecure walk for many.
On the contrary! The reformed have come to terms with the fact that we are save by the grace of God alone. If in Christ, then our sins are indeed forgiven , past, present and yes future. That is why He is called our Savior.
Knowing this, we live a life of humble thankfulness which gives us the assurance that we are safe in His arms.
How could anyone be called insecure, who has placed their trust in Christ, as opposed to those who believe that they must do something as well?
They are the ones who must ask – Have "I" done enough?

Saved or not save - good luck keeping keep 10 commandments perfectly! :rolleyes:

Yep, those not skillful in the Word of Righteousness not knowing how to submit themselves unto the Lord allowing the Holy Spirit to live in them won't be keeping any of the 10 Commandments because they are blind and know not what makes them stumble.

Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me

Ephesians 5:1
Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

Ephesians 4:22-24
put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Romans 13:14
put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Colossians 3:10
And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created Him:

Galatians 5:16
Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Jesus is asserting that to have eternal life you have to keep the Ten Commandment YES!, His own words in your bible!

In the New Covenant we are saved by abiding IN Christ having turned away from living after the flesh and instead being a new creature IN Christ being led by the Holy Spirit based on God's Word. We are to allow the Holy Spirit to live in us as He is the One doing good works thru us as we live under the Lord's leading.

The tares among us claim we can still be saved if we walk after the flesh in disobedience to the Lord as they claim obedience to the Lord and submitting one's self unto the Lord is works based salvation because they have sadly been tricked by false doctrine to believe disobedience to the Lord is accepted by the Lord when scripture clearly teaches it is not acceptable to the Lord.

Sadly these carnal minded false religious followers are the tares Jesus warned us about and they are to be ignored.

not true salvation is not secure!

It is for those who abide in Christ baring fruit. Read John 15

1 John 1:8

And of course sinners are gonna sin because they love them some sin and enjoy living in disobedience to the Lord as they have been tricked by satan just like Adam and Eve were believing they can disobey the Lord and not die (spiritual death, deparation from God)

Are we still born in sin?

Yes, His word does back this. Jesus teaches that when we love Him and keep His commandments, something changes inside us. He said, ‘If you love Me, keep My commandments’ (John 14:15). Right after this He promised the Spirit to live in us and help us walk in truth (John 14:15–17). This shows that love and obedience bring a new heart.

Jhn 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Jhn 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Jhn 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Jesus also said, ‘Make the tree good and its fruit good’ (Matthew 12:33). A tree becomes good inside, then the fruit becomes good outside. This is the work of a transformed heart.

Mat 12:33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.

God promised this change long before. He said, ‘I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you’ (Ezekiel 36:26). He also said He would write His law on our hearts (Jeremiah 31:33). Jesus came to fulfil this promise by teaching us and giving us His Spirit.

John, one of the original disciples, explains the same truth: ‘Whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him’ (1 John 2:5). When we keep His word, love grows and the heart changes.

So yes, His word supports it. When we believe in Jesus and keep His teachings because we love God, the heart is made new, the life produces good fruit, and the Spirit helps us walk in the light.” A transformation does indeed occur

as for being born into sin, we are not born guilty of sins, because a newborn has done nothing wrong, and Jesus Himself welcomed children and said the kingdom of heaven belongs to them. When the Bible speaks about being born in sin, it means we enter a broken world where sin already rules, and we carry a weak nature that easily leans toward wrong as we grow. David said he was brought forth in iniquity, showing that all humans are born into this fallen condition, and God said the imagination of a person’s heart is evil from youth, meaning that our natural desires can easily bend away from God. But Jesus showed the truth about children when He said we must become like them to enter the kingdom, because their hearts are soft, trusting, and open. So a baby is not sinful, but every person is born with a nature that needs God’s help. As we grow older this nature begins to show itself in selfish or disobedient choices, which is why Jesus calls us to be born again, so our hearts can be made clean and strong by God.

Jesus said that only the pure in heart will see God, and He taught that we must be born again, meaning our heart must be made new and clean by God. He taught that whoever keeps His word will never see death, showing that obeying Him and turning away from sin is necessary for eternal life. So yes, the sin that grows in us as we choose wrong must be removed, and Jesus is the One who washes and changes the heart so we can enter the kingdom of heaven.

Any chance you can show me scripture where we are giving a new heart.

" Jesus is the One who washes and changes the heart so we can enter the kingdom of heaven"

Where is this?

ALL of HIS word is good.

What do think of these scripturas.

Romans 5:12 - Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 5:19 - For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 5:19 - For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

The idea that Jesus gives a new heart comes from His own words about being born again and having life in Him.

John 3:3–5, NKJV
“Jesus answered and said to him, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God… unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.’”

Here Jesus shows that the new life, the “new heart,” comes from the Spirit, not from human effort. Being born again means our heart is made new, able to love God and obey Him.

Ezekiel 36:26, NKJV
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”

God promised that those who follow Him will be changed inside. This is not just a rule to obey, but a heart that loves God, given by His Spirit. Jesus is the one who accomplishes this, because He opens the way to God.

Now, regarding the verses you mentioned from Romans:
  • Romans 5:12 and 5:19 talk about sin entering through Adam and righteousness coming through Christ. This shows the problem and the solution: we are born with a weak nature because of Adam, and Jesus restores life.
  • Romans 3:23 says all have sinned. This confirms why we need Jesus to cleanse and renew our hearts.
These verses align with Jesus’ teaching: everyone is in need of a new heart, and Jesus, through the Spirit, is the one who gives it. The new heart is not something we create; it is a gift from God through Christ, making it possible to enter the kingdom of heaven.

What do you think of the first message that JESUS promised to be preached in Jerusalem?

This was the first message after JESUS ascended the second time.

Acts 2:38-39
King James Version
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

The first ones to be reborn in the NT was those who had JESUS put on the cross.

I am not certain of what you mean , could you rephrase and explain further? thank you.

I am not certain of what you mean , could you rephrase and explain further? thank you.

Sure can, I like letting HIS word speak for itself and keep my words to a minimum.

JESUS says in,

John 3:5
King James Version
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

We can NOT enter unless we have been born of water and of spirit.

Peter tells us how that happens just after JESUS fills them with the Holy Ghost.

Acts 2:4
King James Version
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

JESUS also say this,
Mark 16:16-17
King James Version
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Being reborn is the most important thing.

Any other questions?

With absolute certainty I can say there is only one gospel message, the one Jesus gave us and all the apostles, like I said you cannot see it now, this is closed to you and you will not understand until you do the will of God, then perhaps if it is his will he will open your understanding.

All I told you is from the biblical texts unadulterated in any way, I always use clear teaching from Christ that need no interpretation. your lack of understanding is on you and you only.

As stated before, I disagree only with you, not the scriptures. Your failure to rightly divide the word of truth is what is keeping you from seeing your error.

Have you read the letters written to Galatians. All scripture must come together with one coherent message for all people.

You do understand that Jesus was talking to his own who were under the law and pointing to himself as the solution to everything that adherence to the law could not accomplish.

I agree that Jesus is the only foundation for each gospel, but as you pointed out, Israel was under the Kingdom Gospel while Gentiles were under the Gospel of Grace. None of the twelve ever told Israel that they were saved by grace through faith as Paul stated to the Gentiles. Paul never told the Gentiles they had to be water baptized unto the remission of sins, although Peter preached that very message to Israel in Acts 2.

So, the two gospels cannot be said to be one and the same as some out there presume.

Yes there is a spiritual re-connection/salvation, i just use that term to differentiate since scripture does as well. When we are born form above (regenerated/spiritual new life/born from above) all the others are part of it but the saving of the soul and body is synergistic.

Born from above/regeneration cannot be undone and not synergistic but does have a condition, faith.
Progressive salvation is in view in 1 Timothy which is synergistic.

On the contrary! The reformed have come to terms with the fact that we are save by the grace of God alone. If in Christ, then our sins are indeed forgiven , past, present and yes future. That is why He is called our Savior.

I do not see how this connects.
My point was in some circles of Calvinism progressive sanctification is monergistic.
