Is this guy legit? I saw that he was a supporter of Benny Hinn which turned me off big time.
 
Yes, take it to the Lord, as we are to do with all things.
Yes, I attended a Benny Hinn meeting once, not a great fan either, but I know Holy Spirit moved through him as evidenced by my own experience and those with me.
God will use anyone at anytime to further His plan for us.
He is not a respecter of persons.
 
Benny Hinn is wolf, can a wolf produce the spirit? Selling out the name of the Lord for money via fake healing, its well documented.
I will add that it's not my place to judge others, as I don't want to be judged, but it is my duty to call it out.

You just did judge. It is your "job" to take ALL things to Him for His guidance, you didn't do that, you just leaned on your own understanding and then claimed it to be your divine right to judge.

You can drink water from a poisoned well. The water is fine, it's the poison that kills you. However, you can't just drink the water. There are plenty of preachers who do not "poison" the well. Avoid Benny Hinn like the plague.

It is easy to counterfeit signs and wonders. Lord Jesus warned us against them.

2 Peter 2:1-3
"Now there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow in their depravity, and because of them the way of truth will be defamed. In their greed, these false teachers will exploit you with deceptive words. The longstanding verdict against them remains in force, and their destruction does not sleep."

I don't have any dealing with them, but my rationale is much more simplistic. It's the same reason I don't listen to secular music. I don't know if any given secular song is good or bad, but with more than 11,000 Christian tracks in my collection (all kinds of different styles) I just don't have the space in the "music" part of my brain, or the time, to start chasing secular songs too. I'm not done with all the good Christian songs, and I never will be.

Likewise I have the Bible and my pastor. There's always something new to find between daily reading and sermons... and our pastor IS pretty good. Why would I waste time running around hunting up other (highly questionable) people to try to figure out what part of their speeches I could take as good and right?

Why would I want to eat the meat and spit out the bones? I have pure meat already. And I'll never be done with it.

I'm a bit like that too , don't know any pastors or preachers names etc . I just read my Bible , been doing so for about thirty years and it's still teaching me new things every day , the Bible is enough for me ❤️ . There is no guile in it that's 100 per cent sure .

One of the problems I have with this forum is it allows people to openly support and recommend known false teachers.
There are times I think it would be best to just leave.
 
If we use the heavy hand to be dismissive of others we can miss what He wants to teach.
He will use anyone He wants at anytime to do expand His Kingdom.
Eat the meat, spit the bones.
