There are many people who say that God speaks to them, yet I often discover that they do not even know what their Bible says, nor do they believe all of what it teaches. This happens because when someone relies solely on the idea of God speaking to them outside of Scripture, the Bible ends up taking second place or third or somewhere even lower.

Yes of course I am. Scripture says that flesh serves the law of sin and brings forth fruit unto death, cannot please God, cannot obey or submit to God, and a whole host of other things which free willers deny and contradict and also rewrite because they do not like what Scripture actually says, including in the words of Jesus Christ Himself. The whole premise of the free will argument is based on the error that showcases their lack of understanding of what the natural man is capable of with his incurably wicked heart as opposed to what the spiritual man is capable of. FWers ascribe to the natural man that which is only possible to the spiritual man. I did think you understood and agreed with Scripture on this, but apparently you do not.
from Ephesians 4 v 11-14 Jesus Christ gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for works of ministry and to build up the body of Christ, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, as we mature to the full measure of the stature of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed about by the waves and carried around by every wind of teaching and by the clever cunning of men in their deceitful scheming.

If you saw what I mean you would not ask that question. Jesus sets us free.
The natural man is taken captive to do the will of the devil, and that is seen as freedom? How very odd.
John 8 v 36 plus Romans 8 v 2 If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. For in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set you free from the law of sin and death.

I’m glad @Magenta believes I ascribe to the natural man. As well as believing I contradict the Bible, rewrite scripture and have a lack of understanding. She’s completely entitled to her opinion. It’s ok she believes that about us “FW’ers”. I wish her no harm.
