While I do not agree with Rufus’s belief in Calvinism, I at least respect the fact that he tries to explain things, even if the logic is flawed. You are not even attempting to do what he is doing.

Right now your approach to discussing Scripture looks like someone furiously smashing a keyboard while a pack of German shepherds howls in the background, hoping the noise will magically turn into a theological argument.

If you want an actual discussion, you have to give actual explanations. Not riddles. Not complaints that your head might pop. Not vague statements about free will “while it lasts.” Give verses. Give reasoning. Give something we can respond to. Otherwise, you are not having a discussion about God. You are just yelling into the wind and blaming us for the echo.

....
ah well you see that's because you don't realise God is speaking to me.

And neither do you want him to.

No, it doesn't. But the clueless Calvinists say that it does. Wrongly.
I guess delivered up by God's determinate counsel means God didn't do anything. Likewise, when the fulness of time came and God sent His Son to be born of a virgin, God was sitting on His thumbs. Sure, your probably right.

2 Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.

ah well you see that's because you don't realise God is speaking to me.

And neither do you want him to.

There are many people who say that God speaks to them, yet I often discover that they do not even know what their Bible says, nor do they believe all of what it teaches. This happens because when someone relies solely on the idea of God speaking to them outside of Scripture, the Bible ends up taking second place or third or somewhere even lower.

you've poisened yourself mate, and you've only got yourself to blame m

Once you shot all the messengers m sadly there's no more for you
You’re hilarious. I’ll paint you a a shiny ornament that says “Jordon, your free will friend loves you”, to hang up on the Christmas tree 🌲 🎅

Don’t forget to leave cookies 🍪 and milk 🥛 out for Santa!!!

Gotta go now but i do recall opening up a thread called permissive will verses free will @Bible_Highlighter going into great detail about God, with all of the of his word he was speaking to me.

And guess what there was a few good replys but most of them trash like yours.

So yeah bible hunter I'll hold on to my Guns if that's alright with you and when I feal I can discuss with you, I'll be the one to decide that

But your free will authority over me will not decide it, and not your higher authority in God you think you have either over me.

And if i go into discussion with you , it will be on the lords terms not yours

@Magenta : Are you sure about this?!
Yes of course I am. Scripture says that flesh serves the law of sin and brings forth fruit unto death, cannot please God, cannot obey or submit to God, and a whole host of other things which free willers deny and contradict and also rewrite because they do not like what Scripture actually says, including in the words of Jesus Christ Himself. The whole premise of the free will argument is based on the error that showcases their lack of understanding of what the natural man is capable of with his incurably wicked heart as opposed to what the spiritual man is capable of. FWers ascribe to the natural man that which is only possible to the spiritual man. I did think you understood and agreed with Scripture on this, but apparently you do not.

from-Ephesians4-11-14.png

from Ephesians 4 v 11-14 Jesus Christ gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for works of ministry and to build up the body of Christ, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, as we mature to the full measure of the stature of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed about by the waves and carried around by every wind of teaching and by the clever cunning of men in their deceitful scheming.

Yep well that's just typical you, more trash.

Why would i now want to discuss God with you ! Since your heart says or is it your head ? I'll decide if you have God or not.

I mean you must be really clever to make that assessment when you can't hear my heart

@Magenta ; I see what you mean: but don't we all have the free will to believe and trust in JESUS, in the first place?

If you saw what I mean you would not ask that question. Jesus sets us free.

The natural man is taken captive to do the will of the devil, and that is seen as freedom? How very odd.

John8-36plus-Romans8-2s.png

John 8 v 36 plus Romans 8 v 2 If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. For in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set you free from the law of sin and death.

@Magenta : But isn't it an example of free will, if we are able to decide to trust in JESUS?

I’m glad @Magenta believes I ascribe to the natural man. As well as believing I contradict the Bible, rewrite scripture and have a lack of understanding. She’s completely entitled to her opinion. It’s ok she believes that about us “FW’ers”. I wish her no harm. The only good thing out of being ascribed to the natural man is perhaps she will use some natural ingredients to make this natural man a homemade pie lol. I’ll save you a slice lol.

We all need a good brain washing every now and then lol. Last time I was told I was brain washed was by an atheist lol

At the end of the day, despite our disagreements and name calling, I would like to think we would all want the other to be with Jesus. Am I right?
