Logically, it makes sense to me that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. It also seems impossible that the Bible could have been universally changed. My mind accepts all of this, but my soul feels troubled.

I want to live fully believing in Christ with 100% faith but I just can’t seem to feel Him. I know in my mind that He exists, but my spirit can’t feel His presence. Sometimes I start to wonder is Christ really there, or am I just praying and crying to myself?

Please, I beg you pray for me and help me. If Christ is truly real, if His love is true, I want to put Him at the very center of my life and live with Him truly feeling His presence. But I can’t feel the Lord, and I don’t know what to do.

I wouldn't be too concerned about not feeling Him. Work on getting to know and understand Him by scripture reading and prayer. As you acquire spiritual maturity you'll start having more spiritual experiences and revelations, but it won't be an all the time thing. If you have a strong faith and understanding you'll do well; just focus on that and the feelings will come when they come.

You as a human being are composed of 3 items. Your body, your soul, and your spirit. When you received Jesus Christ into your life, your old spirit died and was replaced with the Holy Spirit of God. But your body and your soul are still in a fallen state, they are always in conflict with your spirit. Your "soul", is your mind, your emotions, your thoughts... and unless you fill it with the living word of God (Bible) it will be always be in conflict with the spirit. Every one struggles with this.. even the most hardcore Apostles like Peter and Paul.
So don't worry about your thoughts and feelings, instead focus on the word of God over your thoughts and you will be fine. It's not easy though!!

Peace to you in Christ, Amen.

Here's a little trick. Whenever you don't feel God. Bless the Lord Oh my soul... sing praises. I love 10,000 reasons.. sing this song and bend your knee and lift your hands up alone in your prayer room until the tears fall down your face and it will. Don't stop until it does. and it will.

Things don’t magically change - you are still the same person, still have to work and stress of life / problems are always going to be there. So, don’t worry, be patient - Jesus will help you cope.

personal opinion - read, study and look - ask questions. You may well meet different denominations saying different things. Don’t stress yourself - you’re at the learning stage, it’s good to get different opinions and angels and do your own investigation into what people say. IMO that’s the best way to get strong faith is from your own knowledge of what’s right and wrong, brings confidence and stronger faith and contents the heart.

Again, don’t rush - knowledge takes time - but if you seek the truth, it will find you. Good luck!

On another note what was the main reasons for leaving / not follwing i presume yoru parents Muslim religion?

I grew up surrounded by Muslim communities. I studied in their schools, and during summer vacations, I worked for them. Eventually, I saw their true faces. Although they appear kind and peaceful on the outside, many of them are corrupt on the inside (not all, but most Turkish religious community members are like that). They are narcissistic and arrogant, believing they alone know the ultimate truth. They have no respect for any religion other than their own, and they even disrespect Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of their own country. They constantly insult him and raise their children in their schools with that same mindset.

This made me lose my faith in religion. I never found love in Islam until I started reading the Bible. The Bible told me the opposite of what I had been taught: instead of "attack those who attack you more strongly", it said "forgive those who attack you". Instead of a distant God who rains down commands from the sky, I found a loving Father who is always by my side and loves me more than anyone else. After death, He doesn’t promise worldly things like money, sex, or virgins, but something far more important

His eternal love.

God bless you for knowing who Ataturk is and for appreciating his ideals that shaped modern Turkey.

There are also many fake Christians who have no fruit of the sprit either, if you look to man (or woman) you will certainly always be disappointed. I tell you this from personal experience.

Of course, you’re right. The only reason I left Islam wasn’t just because of people. They only encouraged me to research religions.

Thank you for the testimony.
It's interesting to have a Turkish citizen with us on the forum to tell us about your people.

Someone asked me these Questions and I looked into the Bible for the answers he shared .
I'm grateful he did.
Are you 100% certain that if something were to happen today that you would be in Heaven?
Why?

I don’t really know if I’ll go to Heaven only God knows that.
Back when I was Muslim, we used to fear Allah and pray just so we could get into Heaven.
Now I pray because of what Jesus did for me and how much He loves me.
For the first time in my life, I prayed while crying, realizing I didn’t deserve God’s love that was when I first became a Christian.
Of course, I want to go to Heaven and be with my Lord, and that’s why, and because of Christ’s love for me, I try to stay away from sin.

I appreciate your honesty about that. I will pass forward to you God's promises I shared earlier this week. These are what someone cared enough to share with me as a teenager.

You are closer than most.
Just keep in mind that "feelings " are not the issue. Faith in the proper Person is the key.

The first thing we all need to know is that we are lost in our sins and placing our hope of salvation in the wrong place.
The first part of this verse explains what we have earned from sins.

23For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6
It's our experience that we didn't drop over dead when we committed our first sin. If that happened when I lied as an adult, I wouldn't be talking with you now. However, there was a part of us that died when that happened. It was our spirit, the part that communicates with God and can live forever.

This is a description of what happens. It gives a shorter list representative of all sins.

8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Please notice that amongst the real bad murderers, abominable and idolators there are fearful, unbelievers, and ending the list are liars. We probably haven't murdered or done a lot of the abominations in the Word of God. There are plenty of times that I have been unbelieving the promises of God, fearful of the wrong things and have lied out of shame, guilt and things only God could remember. That is a humbling fact isn't it? According to the Bible, we are in need of saving from that awful fate....the second death. The first death occurs in body and the second is the Lake.
I think you already know that, so I'll try to make this real easy as someone did for me one day.

We've all heard euphemisms that are men's opinions. In my former Catholic church I was raised in, we were taught to keep the sacraments to be saved, while some protestants had their abbreviated versions of the same concept. The TV preachers would have half a dozen works of righteousness like, "give your life to Christ", "promise to serve Him all the days of your life", "ask Jesus into your life/heart", "quit walking towards sin and turn from your sins" which is the latest version of keeping the law. See Galatians chapters 1-3 for more on that.
Those are ALL Good Works.
The Bible even has commandments to do good works, like do not bear false witness against your neighbor and hundreds of others.
However, here's the key. Think about this. God has lots of expectations for His family. God had expectations/commands for the people of Moses and the tribes of Israel. Those were not, NOT requirements for salvation from Hell. Those who teach that have a false gospel. Gospel means Good News. The good news is that perfection to keeping the hundreds of commands or euphemisms for men's requirements are null and void. The Bible tells us clearly that it's "5Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us..."
Titus 3

Check this out and ask God if this is true.
8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Ephesians 2

Grace is what God gives that we do not deserve or earn. I think you already said that before. It is true. We don't deserve salvation at all. What DO WE deserve?
A: Hell.
Now is works..... Don't save. That list above and everything else we ourselves could do don't amount to anything worthwhile in God's view. All the sins men turn from and give up in their flesh are things they boast about.
Salvation is a Gift from God.

The GOOD NEWS is that the Father so loved the world that HE GAVE His only begotten Son, that whosoever BELIEVES on HIM should not perish but have everlasting Life.

Here's what the Bible says is truly receiving Jesus as Savior. John 1
12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that BELIEVE on his name:

The word believe was given to us exactly 💯 times in the gospel of John to tell us this. KJV
The one requirement God has of us is to quit trusting in our good works and instead place your trust (faith/believe in) Jesus Christ our Savior. After all, He's the Savior because He gave His life to pay for ALL of our sins past throughout the future. He purchased the special Gift. We can't pay for even one sin.
Let's take care of this right now.
I will make it very simple by leading you in prayer to the Lord.

Dear Jesus,

I understand now that I don't deserve everlasting life. I only deserve Hell, but I want to be saved.
Please save me according to Your promises.
You alone suffered the torture and crucifixion for all of my sins past and future . You were buried in the tomb and arose the third day.
I ask for the gift of everlasting life that You alone paid for.
Thank you Lord Jesus for sharing this precious gift with me now and forever.
Amen.

11And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
I John 5

According to the Bible where will you go when you die some day?
📖🙂

Our mothers went through the labor and gave birth to us. As babies, we were helpless, yet in the family. As we matured and grew out of diapers and took on new responsibilities, there were realistic expectations; Not to be in the family, but BECAUSE we were in the family. Likewise when we are born spiritually by faith in He Who was faithful unto death, the death of the cross. We are helpless. Keeping commands later are the expectations as we grow.

We do not lose our sonship because we didn't do something right did we? There are times our parents were displeased, but we are still sons in our family.
The same is true with God our Father once we receive that gift Jesus paid for.
This is one reason we don't lose everlasting life.
It's a gift He alone paid for and it never ends.
There's nothing we did to earn it, nor is there anything we can do to keep it or lose it.
Does that make sense friend?

I understand, my friend thank you so much. I had never thought about it in such detail before. Thanks to you, I feel that I’m getting closer to the Messiah. I truly appreciate all of you talking with a Christian is a wonderful thing, and I’d love to stay in touch with you all.

Once again, thank you so much. May God bless and protect you all.
