Hey Everyone,

We've been having such a great discussion in Ms. Mediator's "What do you bring to the table?" thread, I thought it might be fun to try to make it into a funny spin-off game!

Let's see.

So here we have this NICE, BIG, STURDY table:

1762552235985.jpeg

The Rules Are -- You Can Choose Any 3 Things From Your:

1. Purse

2. Wallet

3. Closet

4. Kitchen

5. Garage

6. Junk Drawer (aka, "No Man's -- or Woman's Land")

The 3 items can either be from either one of these places, or you can pick and choose 3 items from any of these different locations -- but they must be real items you currently own!

Choose 3 of them -- and then tell us what YOU are bringing to the table!!

Optional -- feel free to include pictures or gifs if you'd like -- but it's not necessary! Anything goes!

I just looked around, and here's what I'm Bringing To The Table:

1. From my purse -- One half-eaten box of Tic Tacs.

1762552577396.jpeg

2. From my junk drawer -- A Hello Kitty wallet (not this exact one, but something like it) that's currently on standby and not in use. ("Show Me the Money!" wound sadly not apply here.)

1762552760351.jpeg

3. From my closet -- A mega-sized set of shampoo and conditioner.

1762552878018.jpeg

So, you've seen the 3 things I'M bringing to the table...

I'm guessing I'll attract a guy who has good dental hygiene, watches cartoons, and enjoys washing his hair!!:geek::cool:

How About YOU???

1. What 3 things are YOU bringing to the table?

2. After "putting everything on the table," what kind of potential spouse do you think you'll attract?

3. As we get more things put on the table, what things would you like to trade for? (That long-lost Pokemon card someone found in the back of their junk drawer -- and put on the table?)

4. Looking at the things on the table... What things are you attracted to most, and why? (Maybe we can do a fun bit of match-matching between the items on the table -- and the people who own them.)

As for me, I'm willing to trade the Tic Tacs for a whole home baked good of almost any kind! :p Any takers?

Like a lot of my threads, this is just meant to be a fun experiment, so let's see where it goes! We can make any needed adjustments as we go along. :)

I'm really looking forward to seeing what YOU ALL BRING TO THE TABLE -- literally!

You lost me at "match-making."

I was going to bring a can opener, because that is the universal tool these days, a loaf of sourdough bread, because that can go with so many things, and my homemade pocket knife that has nine hook-bill blades and all kinds of tools that I put on it.

But now... Nope nope nope nope. No match-making for me. I already got a box full of matches and I'll use them if any doggone match-makers come around here. :p

that's a winning idea!! 1. wallet: a note to the unsaved that they may be saved after the trib. 2. closet: a pony hair coat. 3. an antique stoneware crock.

NOOOOOOOO!!!

1762561378411.jpeg

Lynx, come back!

I'll be good!

I sorta semi-promise...

I kinda maybe will...

Ok! So I don't do very well at being good but...

Look!

Karlon is joining in, and he's married, so the matchmaking part -- IF anyone even decides to engage it... was just a suggestion, a mere brainstorming idea!

It might not even happen, and it would only be for the singles -- and any singles in this thread are allowed to OPT OUT of any matchmaking.

This is going to be fun!!!

We will make sure no evil befalls you!!!

I... sorta semi-promise...

Choose 3 of them -- and then tell us what YOU are bringing to the table!!

Kitchen - percolator

Garage - camping stove

Drawer - Spatula

2. After "putting everything on the table," what kind of potential spouse do you think you'll attract?

Spouse??? Do we have to? .. Lol

3. As we get more things put on the table, what things would you like to trade for? (That long-lost Pokemon card someone found in the back of their junk drawer -- and put on the table?)

No trades. I like what I got! 😀

4. Looking at the things on the table... What things are you attracted to most, and why?

I like my percolator. It makes a fine pot of coffee!

Lets see 3 things I own that I would put on the table:

Board games- if I have to pick just one it will be last year's escape room advent calendar
1762568724484.jpeg

A box of assorted tea bags / samples - I've gotten more into loose leaf but it's harder to transport and share

The cheap little pillow I got for sort of lumbar support, but it wasn't very good for that because of it's small shape.

I'll happily trade the pillow for Seoul's shampoo and conditioner.
And if I could convince Lynx to give up his homemade pocket knife that might be useful as well.

And not putting that much effort into attracting a spouse but if I can find other people who like tea and board games this could be a win.

1. What 3 things are YOU bringing to the table?

Kitchen - Freshly baked banana cake
Banana cake.jpg

Closet - One annoying game machine I never win, super bowling. Which also needs some serious lockpicking, as I do not know where the key is.. and where the coins go, is full..
Bowling.jpg

Junk drawer - Rummikub travel version (that I tried to make magnetic), don't ask me why it is in the junk drawer. I play it whenever I have someone to play it with!

2. After "putting everything on the table," what kind of potential spouse do you think you'll attract?

At the current moment.. hopefully a lockpicker?

3. As we get more things put on the table, what things would you like to trade for? (That long-lost Pokemon card someone found in the back of their junk drawer -- and put on the table?)

I dunno.. cake for something?

4. Looking at the things on the table... What things are you attracted to most, and why? (Maybe we can do a fun bit of match-matching between the items on the table -- and the people who own them.)

Yes, this, I'll be the person to play board games! Even tho I do enjoy my coffee, I enjoy tea aswell!
@cinder do you have one all-time favourite tea you always go back to?

I'm bringing a knife, a fork, and a healthy appetite if its not a proverbial table.

Ladies, its a tried but true idiom...the fastest way to a man's heart is through his stomach.

I have half a dozen or so that I generally keep in stock at home, but usually trying new ones that sound good as well. The one I'll spend the most on though is the milk oolong that the local tea house keeps in stock. It's pricey but it tastes very creamy naturally. Other than that I tend to like warm spices in my tea (cinnamon, chai, etc), bright fruity hibiscus teas, and recently seems like I'm finding some really nice rooibos dessert tea blends as well (gotta keep the caffiene away at nighttime so I get my beauty sleep and all).

How complicated are we going on the board games? I like the moderately involved ones (like 2.5 - 3.5 rating on board game geek) though I keep some simple ones on hand for playing with not such avid gamers.
