It doesn’t matter what I make of it.

If my free will didn’t matter, then I wouldn’t have used it to say it doesn’t matter what I think. And it doesn’t matter what I think, as I’m but a man. Not God.

What do I make of believers saying it is I who no longer live but the Lord?

I say, great!!!

False. I believe nothing of the sort.
In fact that's what the Calvinist believe, which was proven by me reposting their direct quotes confirming their belief that Mary had no say whatsoever in the Luke chapter 1 annunciation.

What do they believe about Mary??

What would have happened if they WILLFULLY refused to RECEIVE the GIFT of the "covering of God's righteousness"?

In your twisted version of events, God hogties them both without consent, tears off the fig leaves like a rapist, and forcibly puts on the skins (because they are totally depraved), both of them squirming and cursing while it is happening!

And a few years later, Cain DOES refuse the OFFER of the covering! Straight up WILLFUL denial.
here you go @Blue155 this was aimed at me, because I was believing God went against Adams and eves will in the garden. Hes saying the God that I worship is a rapist. I can't see this Comment is justified can you ?

Nah, your assertion is God raped Mary if she was not asked, and she was not asked but informed, which you refuse
to acknowledge, preferring instead to blaspheme God and misrepresent others, as well as Scripture, as per usual.

From Luke 1 v 46-55 “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior! For He has looked with favor on the humble state of His servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed. For the Mighty One has done great things for me. Holy is His name. His mercy extends to those who fear Him, from generation to generation. He has performed mighty deeds with His arm; He has scattered those who are proud in the thoughts of their hearts. He has brought down rulers from their thrones, but has exalted the humble. He has filled the hungry with good things, but has sent the rich away empty. He has helped His servant Israel, remembering to be merciful, as He promised to our fathers, to Abraham and his descendants forever.” Mary was not asked; she was informed (see Luke 1 v 26-38).

This is what you wrote to which he responded to:

“But what would have happened if the lord didn't cloth them.

Without being loved what happens to a person who isn't living very well.
Without the name that's considered a name for the living like eve, how can you feel like living.

Did eve think her punishment had been taken away because Adam called her eve the mother of living.

Was eves spiritual existence totally secure the moment she was called eve.

Well it may have been but God coupled have looked at her whole life first spent with God . Is that a possibility 🤔”

Psalm-33-18Psalm103-13Psalm34-9.png

Surely the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear Him, on those whose hope is in His loving devotion. As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him. Fear the LORD, you His saints, for those who fear Him lack nothing. Psalm 33 v 18, Psalm 103 v 13, Psalm 34 v 9

Tell it to the judge. You all were caught red handed.

What's your denomination?

Told you, Christian. I don't hold to any denomination. I attend a Presbyterian church at the moment but I have attended , Lutheran, Baptist, AOG, Uniting, Anglican and other Independent churches.

Maybe you should just hear me rather than try to put me in one of your boxes. :)

All of this doesn't explain why the soul is exerting influence on the flesh rather than the flesh exerting influence on the soul.

Because it's not. Why can't you hear what I'm saying? The sin nature deceives the mind (soul), not the other way round.

I wrote in another post God would have looked at eves whole life before making Judgment on whether or not she was going to adhere to God. It's was what he did with Paul.
That was a different topic all togeather.

The point I raised was God had to against there new will to save them. The will that was now in them fallen and ashamed and no longer innocent, a discussion where by I had raised many many different points where by God had to against the will of man. And not one of them being accepted. He then decided to say the God I must be worshiping is a rapist then, and as you see from his last comment I'm twisted as well.

That's his apology to say I'm twisted for his disgusting remark.

You aren't. The Bible has the soul influencing the flesh, not the other way around.

Where's your scripture for that? The mind in Romans 7 is loving righteousness, the sin nature in the flesh is telling it something different, hence the war. It is the mind that gives in to the flesh, not the other way round.

The spirit is willing the flesh is weak.

“Gnostics denied Free Will, and affirmed Total Depravity, Original Sin and Determinism. They also used the word “elect” to denote the teachers, in contrast to the “hearers.” Later, after conversion, the former Gnostic, Augustine, coincidentally “discovered” a hearty Determinism in Scripture. Augustine was very careful not to quote or cite any particular Gnostic, and no quote from any early Church father was ever used in support of his newly discovered Determinism. Gnostic writings are no longer extant, and much of what is known of the battle over Free Will, comes primarily from the early Church fathers, Justin Martyr and Irenaeus, who in opposition to the Gnostics, staunchly defended Free Will, even citing such passages as Matthew 23:37 in support. Ultimately, the early Church was a very strong advocate of Free Will, that is, until the 300’s, when the former Gnostic convert, Augustine, arrived on the scene. Naturally, Calvinism is frequently accused of being the enduring remnant and legacy of Gnosticism, and just as Gnosticism was identified by knowledge (Greek: gnosis), Calvinists of today are identified as Reformed.”
