OK, before I summarize what was said I want to discuss grief.
Everyone goes through grief differently. I had a major loss in my life and it took me a year to where I could smile and even laugh. So I am not going to critique her grief. Could I do what she is doing, no. Her ability to speak in huge public gatherings about this event hours, days and weeks later, that is not something I could have done.
But we have an interview and we can summarize it.
1. She opens the interview with what can only be considered a very good message on a Christian's response to loss, the only thing that I would have done differently is to use the name of Jesus Christ rather than God. If I had done this interview, lets say a year after my loss, I would have known they would ask and I would have seen that as an opportunity to speak the name of Jesus.
But Candace makes a very good point that I agree with. I do not forgive people until I know what I am forgiving them for.
2. So that led to the second question, does she believe that the man they have in custody is the sole person involved in the assassination. She didn't answer this question, instead she deflected to "she trusts the team they have in place". The way I understand this and I believe this is the most generous way to understand it for Erika, is that she is not sure, but she trusts that the investigation will get to the truth. Any other interpretation would be obfuscation.
So what really annoys me about this is not Erika, it is the people on this thread telling us to shut up, they have the killer when even Erika won't say that. Who are these ones to say this? How arrogant do you have to be to say shut up, we know who the killer is when Erika doesn't know and the FBI director doesn't know?
3. There is a little in this interview which shows how much the Catholic church is influencing Erika. There was a priest seen backstage of where she was and it was the same priest who went with Charlie to the hospital and the same priest who flies with Erika and consults with her. She made it clear in this video that she is Catholic without pushing it.
4. She was asked about the conspiracy theories swirling around Charlie. She said she has insulated herself, shutting off media to not pay any attention to it. She says she understands people trying to make sense of this, but the one thing she asks is for grace to those who were there that day.
I agree that no one should be pointing fingers and casting blame without having evidence. However, there are certain questions you can ask about security, etc. Any investigation would ask these questions. Human error does not mean culpability. If you were part of the security team I would say it is reasonable to conclude you are guilty at the very least of human error. Face facts, he was assassinated on your watch and the idea that this couldn't have been stopped makes no sense. All you had to do was see the shooter on the roof.
She also makes a valid point about AI making deep fakes.
That is certainly something to concerned about. However, when JFK was assassinated we were flooded with fake stories, it is a common tactic for a cover up. Flood the zone with wacky conspiracy theories and then lump the truth in with all the "other conspiracy theories".
Candace made a couple of salient points here, first they told us he was shot with a 30-06 round which under normal circumstances would have done far more damage to him (she said it would have decapitated him). It is simple to put this issue to bed, simply give us the bullet? One would have thought it had been recovered within hours of the assassination. Second she points out the gaslighting to say we are dishonoring Charlie's memory by trying to know what happened, who was responsible, why did they shoot him, etc.
Now Candace also pointed out you can't want fame on your conditions. You can't hold events where everyone shares their experience on that day with the assassination but then ask for grace that no one else does. You can't control that we talk about what you want to talk about and ignore what everyone else wants to know. It is reasonable that a grieving widow does not want to discuss this. But that isn't her, she doesn't have to do these public interviews, she chooses to. You can't go on national TV and discuss this event and then ask for grace that no one else discuss this. She uses her children, that also is a valid point. I can understand Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis choosing to take herself and her children out of the public eye. That is an option and everyone will respect that or at least they should. However, you can't have your cake and eat it too. You can't decide you will take Turning Point forward as CEO but you want your privacy too. If you are going to be CEO people have the right to know who you are, examine your resume and question your leadership. That comes with the job.

None of your self-made ideas hold up under scrutiny and you would immediately lose weight and muscle.
So stay happy in your zone which is the point of free will. The lack of self-awareness is a blessing for some people who are genuine about it and it can be a curse for those who use it to control others to be 'locked' in their steps.

What's unknown is if you do it intentionally or un-intentionally.
I was reminded of the Godfather, when they are discussing killing Solazo and they said you can't shoot a cop. Michael says what about. a dirty cop who was working with drug lords? They agree that this story would be something the papers would run with. Now all that was true. Yes, it was the story that the Corleone family wanted to publish, but that didn't make it false. Just because someone has an agenda and is a mouthpiece for someone else doesn't mean they aren't speaking facts and truth. It just means you should be aware of the agenda and try to find out the facts that have been left out of the narrative like Michael Corleone killed two people.
News flash to you, Erika Kirk was asked if she believed they had caught the guy who did this and she said "she trusted the investigators". She doesn't know if they caught the guy or not. She said that on a nationwide interview with Waters, and Kash Patel and Dan Bongino have also said they are still investigating.
So the head of the FBI and Charlie Kirk's wife don't know if they caught they guy and yet you do? That takes a special kind of arrogance and pride.

Judging someone without giving them a chance to speak is condemned in the Bible. Only a heretic or false prophet would teach people to do that.

I will reiterate that I went to the Charlie Kirk memorial service in Phoenix because I knew this was a very significant event in terms of the Lord's imminent return. I felt obligated to get a first hand account of this. I knew a little about Charlie Kirk before he was assassinated having seen him a few times on Steve Bannon's show. I knew about TPUSA. Also I have a son who is young enough to have heard all the slander about Charlie and to believe it. So we watched him speaking on Youtube a few times. I pointed out to him how his words were being twisted by those filled with hate. They accused him of being racist because he questioned the utility of the Civil Rights act. He made it clear he didn't disagree with the intent, level the playing field and compensate for residual impact of slavery. However, he was questioning how it was being implemented and misused to justify putting men into women's bathrooms, etc. I told my son I agreed with what he said and did not in any way consider it racist. Since our family is half black this should be considered as part of the context.
Anyway what hit me in the face like being slapped with a dead salmon was the number of politicians at this event. It was really driven home to me how his ministry was more about being a political action organization than it was about being a Christian ministry. I believe his faith was crucial to him, I believe powerful people were trying to manipulate him, he said as much while still alive, and some of his closest friends also intimated this. I have been involved in campus ministry, and I am in the Gideons and we also have campus ministry. The Gideons have over 240,000 members, we are in 200 countries, we have distributed 2.6 billion bibles and if the president of Gideons international were to die you would not have the President of the United States, his entire cabinet, and a bunch of political pundits showing up to the memorial service. We operate on a shoestring budget and here is Charlie flying by private plane to Korea just days before the assassination. Not only did all these politicians come and speak but they all said they wouldn't have been elected if not for Charlie.
Prior to the memorial I had likened his death to Stephan, the church age began with one martyrdom and ends with another. I had also likened it to Abel as Charlie's blood continued to speak after he had died.
