I think the issue we are facing on this thread is that we are to speak the truth in love. Some of these truths can come across as condemning those who are receiving assistance and so we need to make sure we speak these truths in love. On one hand everyone at one time or another in their life needs a helping hand. On the other hand any government program that is designed to make you dependent and has woven that into the fabric of what they are doing, that is an evil government program.

Yes, caring for the handicapped and single mothers is a valid charitable goal. However, just because you vote for Taxpayers to have to pay for these programs does not make you empathetic or charitable. Taking other people's money and giving it to charity is not "charitable".

The church was doing this job before the government was. When the government uses taxpayer money to do this and then does away with the ability to write off money you give to the church, they are seizing control of charity, they are trying to increase their power while reducing the power of the church. These government programs are like a bridge, we were on one side with the churches taking care of the poor, now we are on the bridge with these programs and soon we'll be on the other side with an Antichrist system where if you don't worship the Antichrist you can't buy or sell anything. They justify making this change because we are not in a theocracy, but when we get to the other side we will learn that what they meant is they don't worship Jesus, they worship Satan. On one side giving to the poor was an act of love, on the other side everyone is considered poor and there is no love. Instead there is the proverbial "offer you can't refuse", worship Satan or die.

I did not have any disease. I had already recovered from Covid19 which has been proven to be far more effective form of immunity than any vaccine. I was in the Teacher's union, I had paid my dues out of every paycheck. I did that because they would provide legal assistance in the event of being terminated illegally. It is illegal to mandate an experimental vaccine unless you follow the rules to do that and they did not follow the rules. Since that mandate was illegal the union should have provided me with legal assistance to fight this but they didn't.

Its analysis is that when founded we had democratic functional elements in the US structure that would equate to about a 2 on a scale of 10. At this time it says we're 9 of 10. I believe the government intentionally wanted all those people dependent on assistance so that when it was cut off their would be chaos in the streets and no one could focus on catching the thieves but had to focus on the riots and looting.

SS and VA are not included in those #'s. I don't know what your point is here: "Providing basic healthcare for people who can't afford it is every bit as much as a service to those who pay for it as it is for the person who is sick." Helping those [citizens or legal visitors] who NEED basic healthcare and cannot afford it seems to arguably fall under a righteously defined "need".

Agree but not all church is church and even in church dumb decisions are made, some of the issues of the world and carnality are within, politics and evil are not absolutely foreign and in fact may be worse.

I actually got up and walked out of a church once when a preacher was behind the pulpit bragging about how much his church pays him.
