Neither is walking in the spirit, but who will be saved walking after the flesh? There are certain things that must be done after believing the gospel to be saved. Peter states the beginning of the process in Acts 2:38
So obtaining salvation is a process (and not a one-time event) that culminates in works-righteousness? I don't think so. (John 5:24; Romans 4:5-6; 5:1-2; Ephesians 2:8,9) In regard to walking after the flesh, Paul sets up a contrast between those who live according to the flesh (unbelievers/false brethren) and those who live according to the Spirit (believers). In verses 8-9, Paul clearly states - So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. See the contrast? Paul said those who believe the gospel are saved. (Romans 1:16) Paul mentioned nothing here about certain other things that must be done (after we believe the gospel) in order to become saved. Your argument culminates in salvation by works.

That’s a textbook attack from someone defending baptismal regeneration!

You’ve made several claims, but none of them stand when Scripture interprets Scripture.
Acts 10:43–47 KJV shows believers received forgiveness and the Holy Ghost before baptism — that’s God’s commentary on Acts 2:38 KJV.
The Greek eis in that verse can mean “because of” or “with reference to,” exactly as in Matthew 12:41 KJV (“repented at the preaching of Jonah”).

Faith and repentance are inward; baptism is the outward testimony.
If water were required for forgiveness, grace would no longer be grace (Romans 11:6 KJV).

Grace and peace — always in His Word.
As established by God, those who believe in Jesus and His sacrifice receive remission of sin upon obedience to water baptism in the name of Jesus.

As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

"And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;
To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,
Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,
To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace." Luke 1:76-79

Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.
And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;
As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. (Luke 3:1-4)

After Jesus resurrected, He prophesied that repentance AND remission of sin would be preached in His name in ALL nations, and would begin in Jerusalem. And just as prophesied, in Jerusalem on the Day of Pentecost Peter, having the keyS to the kingdom, told believers what they were required to do:
"Repent, AND be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Luke 24:47, Acts 2:36-42)

Those who reject the scripture do so at their own peril :

"He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day." John 12:48

"I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. " Luke 13:3

"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." Mark 16:15-16

"But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his." Rom. 8:9

"...whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it." Matthew 7:24-27

If that’s the case, then we may simply be using different terms.
When you insist that water baptism is required for the remission of sins, that is what Scripture calls adding a work to grace — which is the very definition of baptismal regeneration.

Peter never contradicted Peter.
Acts 2:38 shows repentance and baptism as outward confession; Acts 10:43-47 shows forgiveness received before baptism. Both are consistent — faith in Christ brings remission, baptism follows as testimony.

Grace and peace — always in His Word.
Both of your statements concerning the scriptures are not accurate. There no mention of an outward confession in Acts 2:38. And as indicated by a number of scriptures the experience of having one's sins remitted does not happen simultaneous with receiving the Holy Ghost.

Funny thing is that salvation is not mentioned in Acts 2:38. The question being asked is, "What shall we do?" The question is being asked by a group of people within a nation to whom a national message has been addressed, in regards to their RULER - You can read Romans - Philemon back into the passage until you are blue in the face, but you cannot make it refer to a sinner trying to find "the way to Heaven" without wresting the scriptures to your own destruction. The question being asked in Acts is way different than the question asked in Acts 16, "What must I do to be saved?" A personal question of how an individual is to be saved.

The first step in salvation is to have sins forgiven and washed away in Chrst's death. No man is saved by just that. We are saved by believing into his life, which means following him and doing what he says.

The question I have is, will Christians who say they believe, but don't do God's will, be resurrected in the first resurrection, or the 2nd resurrection? Thinking of the 10 virgins parable here.

#309 You weren’t looking for cordial discussion! You didn't want genuine dialogue! You started with hostility and misrepresentations and labels right out of the gate! Just want to push your hidden Oneness/ Pentecostal theology agenda.
Hummmm. Hostility, misrepresentation and labels. You may want to go back and reread some of your posts.

Adding your words in bold...

Romans 10:
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, and live a life doing what he says, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and living a life doing what he says, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord and live a life doing what he says shall be saved.

The parable is not about the Gentile body of Christ, but Israel. Again, what is the purpose of the judgment seat of Christ describe by Paul in his letters?

That's definitely stated in numerous other verses, but Paul is only referring to the first step in these verses, ie, justification. No man is saved by justification alone. But as it's written, "As you received him [by faith], walk in him [by faith]"

As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Colossians 2:6

Note Paul's words on the topic:

1 Cor 9:27-10:5
But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

That's definitely stated in numerous other verses, but Paul is only referring to the first step in these verses, ie, justification.

And yet, no evidence to prove your statement above. Fit your theology based upon scripture and not a denomination. We must rightly divide the word of truth.
