Words are inanimate and can not be described as being dead or alive. Any allusion to such is metaphorical in one way or anlother. When you say, "Yes, the passage refers to God Himself being alive", it leads me in one direction. But when you say, "I guess you judge it to mean His words themselves are dead", it leads me in another. I'll go with the first and conclude that it clears up the matter.Modalism was the word I was trying to remember.

You speak as though metaphorical language is false, which would mean all of the parables of Jesus were wrong.

The word you need to find is mystical or mysterious, meaning that comprehending how God's Word spoke creation
into existence (Gen. 1:1-24) and continues to sustain it (Heb. 1:3) is impossible for us mere finite mortals.

As I say in our website: According to the Bible, God created everything else that exists (Gen. 1:1, Jer. 10:16, John 1:1-3), including the ability by volitional beings (souls) to choose to rebel against His Lordship (Gen. 2:16, Deut. 30:19). Our finite minds cannot comprehend how God does this (Isa. 40:28). However, neither are we able to understand why the universe exists without God (John 3:8).

Theistic and atheistic cosmologies are both mind-boggling! Just as atheists believe that somehow the world always existed and somewhat intelligent beings evolved, so theists believe that for some reason the eternal Intelligence (GW) or Spirit of God (HS) created and pervades the physical universe, including the brains of those who freely will to spit in His face (Rom. 5:6-8, Matt. 27:30)!

Okay, but I did not realize until now that you are one of those who ignore/disbelieve so much clear Scripture teaching,
and of course if you ignore/disbelieve GW regarding the condition/requirement for salvation you are going to ignore/disbelieve me saying that my reason for participating on CC is simply to share my fallible faith with others, hoping they will find what I have learned helpful for understanding ultimate truth, so all I can do is place my bet that you are wrong and say "happy trails"! :D

You are correct, I am wrong, glad to agree to disagree, I stand in trust to God for me and everyone else. God always teaches me in humility, thank you as God loves us all so deeply, God in Son went to that cross for us all to change us from under Law to upholding Law, at least for me and it is as Father reveals not me, thank you
Love to you too

Well, I encourage you to keep learning GW and refining your logic.

For example, there is a logical contradiction between saying "I am wrong" and saying "I am glad to agree to disagree",
which implies that you do NOT think you are wrong.

Also, saying you stand "in trust" to God indicates that trusting God is the condition for being forgiven--
and you can only trust for yourself, not everyone else. They must do their own trusting.

Finally, when you share teachings of GW, it would be good to be able to cite where Scripture says what you are understanding,
so folks can better see where you are coming from.

For example, Scriptures supporting belief in God's unconditional love for all include Matthew 23:37, 1Timothy 2:3-4,
John 3:16 and Romans 3:21-5:1. The last two also support belief that His condition for forgiveness is faith.
Joy & love.

Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. (Ge 1:3)
Upon God issuing the command for light to come into existance, light came into existance. God dreamed up the concept of light and spoke it into existance. This is not hard to understand. But I agree with you that treating the words of God as if they are God certainly inhibits comprehension.

Well, as finite morals our comprehension is limited, but my understanding is that God wills to exist in the physical dimensions
and is omnipresent in space, but we should not idolize it as pantheism, just as we should not engage in Bibliolatry, even though
God as the HS also exists in the dimension of Logos/GW. However, God approves of worshipping Him as revealed via the human dimension of Jesus as Son.

As I explain in Part V of Lesson 1 on our website:

As truthseekers, whenever we encounter someone who has a contradictory understanding, we want to learn which is the better belief, to admit when we are wrong, and to change our opinion. As people-lovers we want to share our knowledge with other truthseekers, so that we may fellowship (2Tim. 4:3-4, 1John 1:3).

According to the Bible, God created everything else that exists (Gen. Just as atheists believe that somehow the world always existed and somewhat intelligent beings evolved, so theists believe that for some reason the eternal Intelligence (GW) or Spirit of God (HS) created (John 1:1-3) and sustains the physical universe (Heb. 1:3), including the brains of those who freely will to spit in His face (Rom. 5:6-8, Matt. 27:30)! (What God was doing before the creation of time/space is as inconceivable as nothing/atheism.)

As Immanuel Kant indicated: humans do not have the mental categories or ability to imagine alternative or supernatural reality, which may be why the NT does not describe immortality and hell in detail (cf. 1Cor. 15:35-44 and Matt. 24:51, 25:30, 41&46.) However, I will share my understanding of the NT concept of God, “the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God” (1Tim. 1:17), in terms of seven words. Four terms are used to describe (but not explain and certainly not “box in”) the supernatural power of God: omnipotent (almighty), omniscient (all-knowing/ intelligent), omnipresent (everywhere), and omnitemporal (eternal). “Natural laws” actually are God’s ongoing first miracle (Rom. 1:20), and supernatural resurrection to judgment will be the final miracle (Heb. 9:27-28, 1Cor. 15:12-26).

If the NT is not too good to be true, then the Lord of the universe is neither dictatorial nor distant, but rather relates to humanity. Although we cannot comprehend the infinite God completely, hopefully we can do so sufficiently in order to achieve the type of relationship God desires to have with humanity (John 14:9-25). God desires communion.

1. God’s omnipotence means that He can do everything except “disown Himself” or not be God (2Tim. 2:13). It does NOT mean that God can perform logical absurdities, such as creating a rock too large for Him to move. Omnipotence or sovereignty also means that human MFW has limits with regard to how it can contradict God’s will. God provides morally competent humans the ability to resist His intentional will and plan of salvation (POS) within limits, such as the time limit that will end with death, resurrection (the last miracle) and judgment (per Heb. 9:27)–called His permissive will.

2. God’s power is equivalent to His omniscience. Jeremiah wrote that “God made the earth by his power; he founded the world by his wisdom.” (Jer. 10:12) Many NT passages refer to God as the source of true wisdom (e.g., Acts 6:3, 1Cor. 1:25, Col. 2:2-3, Jam. 1:5). God’s infinitely superior knowledge is extolled in Romans 11:33-34 (echoing Isa. 40:13-14) and Daniel 2:20-23....

3. Omnipotence is connected with omnitemporality (in Rev. 1:18): “I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” Romans 1:20 refers to God’s “eternal power”, and Jeremiah 10:10&16 names God “the Lord Almighty”, who is true, living and eternal.

4. God’s infinite power implies omnipresence (per Psa. 139:7-8). God transcends spatial existence while being immanent in all points of space. (Other scriptural support for this view includes 1Kings 8:27, Isa. 66:1, Jer. 23:33, Acts 17:27-28 and Eph. 4:6.) God’s superiority over His creation must be viewed as a matter of degree or quantitatively in order to preserve the continuity between God and humanity that would be requisite for communication (like the need for a common language and culture cited in Part I). However, the Bible teaches that God also differs from creatures in kind or qualitatively, so that attaining equality with Deity is impossible (Isa. 55:9, Eph. 3:19). We can be like God (Gen. 3:3), and we can become one with the Son of God (John 17:21-23), but we cannot become God (cf. Humanism).

Good! Does your better understanding of everything else result in essential agreement or do you find something illogical/unscriptural?

The personal relationship between Believers/Christians and God may be viewed as having three stages: conversion, spiritual growth or maturation (Eph. 4:13), and glorification (1Pet. 5:10) or immortality (1Cor. 15:53) in heaven. The kerygmatic prayer that is necessary in order for a sinner be saved and walk with God is confession (1John 1:9, Psa. 32:1-5). Because a convert’s commitment to Christ is in accordance with God’s perfect will (1Tim. 2:3-4), the moment of Spirit baptism fulfills the command to be filled with the Spirit (in Eph. 5:18), which means to cooperate fully with the love of God (Eph. 3:16-19). The moment or stage of conversion may be described grammatically as occurring in the past: we were saved when we repented/received the baptism of the HS.

From the moment of repentance onward begins the second stage of growth, discipleship (Acts 14:22) or sanctification (2Thes. 2:13), which is present progressive: it is the process of being saved now. This stage has two phases: instability and maturity. A new convert does not achieve immediate perfection by remaining filled with the HS (Phil. 3:12). Instead, the combination of temptations, ignorance of GW and the old selfish nature results in immature saints committing post-conversion sins, at which time the are carnal or acting like unbelievers (1Cor. 3:1).

As soon as new Christians realize they sinned, they should confess it (1John 1:9a) rather than compound it by trying to hide it or cover it up like Adam and Eve did (Gen. 3:7-8). Whenever a believer acknowledges to God his/her known sins of immoral attitudes and actions, God forgives all sins (1John 1:9b). This means he/she is pleasing rather than grieving God or once again is Spirit-filled (walking in the Spirit) and has a right relationship with Christ Jesus (Eph. 4:30, 5:10 & 18). This spiritual flip-flopping is the phase of instability, and although it is bad, failure to confess promptly is much worse, because it results in chain-sinning or back-sliding, which may be called prodigal if it continues very long (cf. Luke 15:11-32).

Unfortunately, some saints may not appreciate the process of spiritual growth or being transformed by the renewing of their minds (Rom. 12:2), perhaps because it involves admitting sins or having “guilt trips”. Guilt is like a warning light, and until we gain the wisdom to welcome God’s reproof, we will not feel the satisfaction of becoming a new and improved version of ourselves. Woe to the one who become so callous that no guilt is felt when wrong is done!

Similarly but perhaps with greater realization because of learning NT revelation, when a sinner learns the NT Gospel of Christ, repents and confesses Jesus as Lord (Acts 20:21, Rom. 10:9), the Holy Spirit (HS) enters the convert’s heart (Rom. 5:5), uniting them with God or beginning a personal relationship with God as heavenly Father (Rom. 8:9) and identifying them with Christ’s worldwide/catholic body or church (Col. 1:18), which moment is called spiritual rebirth (John 3:3-8) or “baptism by the Spirit” (1Cor. 12:13).

Confusion may arise from the fact that Paul says there is only one baptism (Eph. 4:5), but elsewhere the NT seems to refer to two types of baptism: one by water and another by the HS (Matt. 3:11, John 1:26-33, Acts 1:5). Any confusion is resolved by understanding that the two types of baptism are harmonized if baptism with water is viewed as a symbolic way of portraying baptism by the HS. (Most Bibles have a footnote for Mark 16:9-20 saying that the passage is not a reliable or well-attested part of the NT canon, so it is problematic to cite v.16 as requiring water baptism for salvation along with drinking poison or handling asps as signs of being saved.)

Both outward confession and water baptism may be seen as works manifesting love for God that every new Believer will want to (but we cannot say “must”) perform as soon as possible following his/her decision to have saving faith (cf. Matt. 3:13-15, Acts 2:38). Paul referred to the comparable moment for Abraham as spiritual circumcision. Although Paul did not command baptism, he administered it (in Acts 16:33, 18:8, 19:5 & 1Cor. 1:114-16) even though he said Christ did not send him to baptize but to preach the gospel (1Cor. 1:17). IOW, Paul’s focus was on preaching (spirit baptism) and he probably left the water baptizing to his assistants.

The outward evidence that someone was baptized by the HS and is Spirit-filled (Eph. 5:18) or walking with God is the manifestation of the fullness of Christ (Eph. 3:19, 4:13) or fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23), which is signified by love (Gal. 5:6).

Jesus said “All men will know that you are my disciples if you love one another” (John13:35, 1John 4:7-21), because “love” sums up the moral character of God (1John 4:7-8). He did NOT say “…if you are water baptized”, even though it is an appropriate rite portraying a believer’s death and resurrection in Christ; nor did he say “if you speak in tongues” (SIT).

Similarly, Paul said (in Eph. 5:19), “Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs” rather than with SIT. Again, when Paul listed fruit of the HS (in Gal. 5:22-23), it included love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, but not SIT.

Finally, John commanded love rather than SIT (in 1John 4:7-21).

32:1-5). The main purpose of this thread is to discuss Scriptures explaining how humanity can experience and fellowship with the Holy Spirit of God/Christ,
which correlates with learning God’s Holy Word. Achieving this goal requires systematic study of New Testament doctrines including spiritual dynamics, prayer and sanctification.

humanity, equals/= flesh, equals/= enemy to God Spirit.

Mankind will never DISCERN the Word of God = Scriptures, of their own flesh nature.

The Only path to God is through Jesus and mankind in their ignorance(darkness) will never know Jesus nor God Spirit while in carnal nature. It is appointed/deserving for man to die once of their flesh then the judgement, this means to be reborn of the Spirit and feed the solid feast of the teachings of God Word in Spirit.(this is Spiritually taught in scriptures)

This is why :

Galatians 5:17

New American Standard Bible
For the desire of the flesh is against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, in order to keep you from doing whatever you want.

Legacy Standard Bible
For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you do not do the things that you want.

Amplified Bible
For the sinful nature has its desire which is opposed to the Spirit, and the [desire of the] Spirit opposes the sinful nature; for these [two, the sinful nature and the Spirit] are in direct opposition to each other [continually in conflict], so that you [as believers] do not [always] do whatever [good things] you want to do.

Good News Translation
For what our human nature wants is opposed to what the Spirit wants, and what the Spirit wants is opposed to what our human nature wants. These two are enemies, and this means that you cannot do what you want to do.

Godbey New Testament
For carnality wars against the Spirit, and the Spirit against carnality; for these are antagonistical to one another; so that you may not do the things which you may wish.

witness...

Romans 8:7

Good News Translation
And so people become enemies of God when they are controlled by their human nature; for they do not obey God's law, and in fact they cannot obey it.

International Standard Version
That is why the mind that focuses on human nature is hostile toward God. It refuses to submit to the authority of God's Law because it is powerless to do so.

Regarding understanding human nature, keep in mind that humanity was created very good, and the incarnate Christ was human.

Regarding discerning GW, keep in mind that a purpose of the OT part of GW was so humans would discern sin, and the main reason for the NT part of GW was so humans could discern how to be saved from sin/carnality.

'Christ' is the Anointing of God Spirit or the Anointed ONE of God Spirit, Do you really want to call this Spirit of God, "HUMAN" !?!

1 Corinthians 15:50
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.

They are opposed to each other, so that you do not do what you want. / But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. ...

Romans 7:18
I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh; for I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.

1 Corinthians 2:14
But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The Natural Man
Refers to individuals who rely solely on human's wisdom and understanding, without the influence of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus was fully human. To claim otherwise is heresy…

'Christ' is the Anointing of God Spirit or the Anointed ONE of God Spirit, Do you really want to call this Spirit of God, "HUMAN" !?!

(b)
"keep in mind that a purpose of the OT part of GW was so humans would discern sin"

>>>> Then why is OT ONLY written in Hebrew and ONLY given to Israel !?!

(c)
"the main reason for the NT part of GW was so humans could discern how to be saved from sin/carnality"

This is what the Word of God states :

1 Corinthians 15:50
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.

witness...

John 3:6
Flesh is born of flesh, but spirit is born of the Spirit.

Romans 8:8
Those controlled by the flesh cannot please God.

Galatians 5:16-21
So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. / For the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other, so that you do not do what you want. / But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. ...

Romans 7:18
I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh; for I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.

Genesis 6:3
So the LORD said, “My Spirit will not contend with man forever, for he is mortal;

Psalm 78:39
He remembered that they were but flesh, a passing breeze that does not return.

(d)
"so humans could discern how to be saved from sin/carnality"

1 Corinthians 2:14
But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The Natural Man
Refers to individuals who rely solely on human's wisdom and understanding, without the influence of the Holy Spirit.

>>>> Assuming a deadly idea, that humans of their own flesh nature, can obtain what is Spiritual, is HERESY and Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit that saves.

Surely you know that in Genesis 1 God called His creation very good? And in John 1 Jesus is called incarnate and in Hebrews it says that he was human?

Surely you know that in Genesis 1 God called His creation very good? And in John 1 Jesus is called incarnate and in Hebrews it says that he was human?

The OT was given to the Hebrews because God’s plan was for them to be the means of providing Messiah to atone for the sins of humanity.

John 3:16 and many other Scriptures indicate that God’s method for saving sinners is providing them the opportunity to repent and believe in the Messiah he provided.

What you carnally are referring too are all parables.
(a)
In genesis 2 is the FALL of mankind (not good)
(b)
Jesus was divine and became flesh for the sake in saving MANKIND. In other words something Spiritual had to show carnal minds how to disregard what the natural man thinks and put on the mind of Christ, thus no longer of flesh but a new creation in Spirit.
(c)
Actually it sates he WAS man.

Maybe this scripture can shed light on your darkness....

1 Corinthians 15:21-22
For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. / For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.

I should not have to point this out:

'Christ' is NOT man, it is an anointing of the Holy Spirit of God Spirit.

'Christ' is not Jesus last name,

'Christ' is what Jesus became in flesh form, in becoming a Spiritual-man(born again of Spirit), a foundation he has laid for all faithful to follow.

Jesus the Christ of God. Is A Spiritual Truth.

'Jesus Christ' is just another one of lazy translations. And one that the secular world accepts as
